gift ideas for hubby

'ope you can give me ideas on how to surprise my hubby on his bday.. medyo undecided din kc ako if i'll throw a surprise party for him or kung kami lang dalawa.. ano din magandang gift for him?

aside from the material things like shoes, watch, shirts and others, i've made this scrap book style folder where i compiled all our fave songs..or songs that made a significant mark in our relationship...whether old or new songs, or a soundtrack of our fave movies that we watched together.

i printed each song in a special paper and on the last page, i enumarated each song with a short note on why this song was included on the list. then i've chronologically arranged and saved the songs in a flash disk.

ako sis, simple gifts lang lagi ang ang gift-ideas ko..
dinadaan ko na lang sa surprise/gimik.. hehe

one time i gave hubby a wallet,
di ko na binalot, nilagay ko na sa pocket ng pants nya.
kinuha ko na yung luma, nilipat ko na yung mga laman sa bago.
sa loob ng wallet, andun yung note ko, "surprise"

another time, i gave him a memory pillow.
sinundan ko sya sa work, at nilagay ko sa loob ng car yung gift.
nagtago lang ako sa parking lot, inantay ko sya mag out..
nakita ko reaction nya, nagtaka may gift sa loob ng car..
then i appeared, haha!

medyo OA ata ako pag nagbibigay ng gift kay hubby, I like surprising him kasi.  I always write him a note or a poem together with whatever gift I buy for him, one time I had flowers sent to his office for his bday, para hindi lang sya ang laging nagsesend ng flowers sakin haha. 

I also try to make reservations sa restaurant na gusto nya.

naku malapit na bday ni hubs. since ldr kami, last i just had flowers delivered on his birthday. he was really surprised. im scouting for new ideas

My hubby's birthday is in September and he refuses to go out of town na or kahit mag-hotel kase malapit na due ko non. Sabe nya eat out nalang kame. Parang na-sad nga ko eh, sanay kase ko na lage may trips or something special pag birthday nya.

@victim: binigyan mu ako ng idea sis.. medyo matagal nang pinapacompile sakin ni hubby yung mga pics na pinuntahan namin pag vacation. i think it's time na icompile ko na [textspeak!] at mas maaappreciate nya lalo kung macomplete ko at maipakita on his special day..

@noLurker: haay sis, nabigyan ko din sya ng wallet nung anniv namin, pero hanggang ngaun, di pa din nya ginagamit.. nanghihinayang kasi di pa naman daw super sira wallet nya.. waaahh!!!! pero magandang gimik nga yung ilalagay ko sa car yung gift.. hehe..

@kreez & septembernine: bat di ko nga gawin noh? he always give me flowers during special occasions.. ano kaya reaction nya pag ako naman magbigay?? hehe.. love to see his reaction!

@twelvthgoddess: yesterday, i received free accomodation at Crown Regency Cebu or Davao as a raffle prize.. it's valid until october.. sabi ko sa sarili ko, baka yun na yung sign.. pero mahal ang flight ticket kung ngaun ako magpabook, august na bday nya..  at mukhang ayaw ni hubby mag out of town dahil gastos daw.. haay..

Definitely a surprise trip -- doesn't have to be expensive. Make sure the trip's not in conflict with their work / other meetings.

@greize: since hanggang october valid ang free accommodation, and october-december ang travel period ng 50% off on airfare, why not give the plane tickets and Crown Regency Cebu GCs on his birthday sa august on his birthday? hindi naman kailangang sa birthday nya mismo kayo magtravel (although that would be nice sana). why not take him out to dinner and present your gifts to him then. just make sure yung dates na pipiliin mo for the trip ay free talaga sya. check in advance and kung pwede, check with his supervisor? if kaya lang. good luck!

My husband likes collecting wrist watches, and some are not battery operated so I thought of getting him a Watch Winder for his birthday this December. I've also wanted to give him a surprise party but I still cant manage to do everything... so maybe next year.

maganda gift yung homemade or personalized talaga mas maapprecate niya yun kasi you put your hardwork and effort in it or if gusto mo book nga kayo ng trip na kayo dalawa just say like may pupuntahan lang kayo tapos surprise him that you're really going somewhere far just you two

for our anniv this year, a trip to bohol ang gift ko kay hubby. sobrang natuwa sya dun

this christmas since he really likes to cook, i will give him turbo broiler because lately i observed that he is eyeing for it:)

his birthday is on january na. wala pa ako gift. maybe i take him out on dinner na lang:)

homemade and personalized gifts are always the best (in my opinion) gifts because you can really go creative with them and you control how you want it to look and what things you wanna put to it. feeling ko lang mas naaapreciate mga ganun kasi sobrang effort yun ah
