^^in my case i made a letter requesting for multiple entry but ended up being given single entry lang.meaning di naman outright denial yun since you will be screened next as a single entry applicant

Excited na kinakabahan na ako. This week ko na ipapasa application ko.. After ng exams :3 sana ok na yung bank cert na gagamitin ko.. Wala pa kasi ako nilagay na plane ticket and hotel. 5 days inapply ko tourist visa.. Ok lang kaya yun? Mag extend na lang ako pag nagrant..

We passed our application at Reli Tours in Megamall last march 14, few days after that i was waiting for the travel agency's call but I had to follow up and call them yesterday to check on our application status. And they told me it's ready for pick up. I wasn't able to get it yesterday and so 10days after we passesit I claimed the passports and we were given 3 years multiple visa. Btw we were  a party of 5, me and my husband and our 3 kids. It's our 1st time to apply a Japanese visa. We were quite overwhelmed that they gave us a multiple visa valid for 3 years.

I got the same good news today. My 1 year old daughter and I were given 3 year multiple entry visas even though we only applied for single entry.  It's our first time, too. And I submitted the basic requirements lang -- no detailed bank statement, no plane or hotel booking, no sponsor. I didn't even explain why I'm currently not working (though they probably saw my 2013 ITR). I'm ecstatic and am panic booking right now

^for us, some of us has 1-5M sa account, meron din saktong 100k.

^^ medyo malaki yung pinakita ko sis, but my mom who showed more was given single entry.  As in sama sama application namin pero iba iba results. We're thinking it might be the US immigrant visa of me and my daughter that helped.

Hoping ako sana talaga. Ano madalas itanong sa immigration sa japan? Tinitignan ba nila kung magkano ang dala na cash? Yung tita ko na kasi dun bahala sa amin when it comes to cash/expenses then pagdadalahin lang ako ng credit card (na nakapangalan sakin)..

sis hindi ko pa naexperience maask in any airport kung magkano dala ko. pero alam ko meron lang certain amount ng peso na pwede ilabas ng pinas (10k ). same goes for foreign currencies, hanggang equiv if 10k usd. honestly di ko alam kung may nahuli na nun through random checking. pero impt din talaga na may dala kang credit card

Hoping ako sana talaga. Ano madalas itanong sa immigration sa japan? Tinitignan ba nila kung magkano ang dala na cash? Yung tita ko na kasi dun bahala sa amin when it comes to cash/expenses then pagdadalahin lang ako ng credit card (na nakapangalan sakin)..

Sis sa entry card ng Japan, may question dun something like, "how much cash do you have..."? So kami, we listed all the cash we had on us, and in which currencies. Tip ko lang, bring enough yen in case you're not able to get local currency from the ATM. When we landed, our plane "parked" far from the airport terminal that we took a shuttle to the arrival area, straight to immigration. We were taking the airport limo to the hotel, and not sure if they accept credit card payment or other currency.

Ako naman, i will be submitting my documents to Japan embassy here in singapore.  The good thing here in singapore is there is no need to go through agency.  We just need to present the documents in this order

Top - Passport
2nd - Visa application
3rd - Certificate of employment
4th - Flight Itinerary
5th - Bank Statements
6th - Photocopy of Epass

I hope I get 3 years kahit na dito ako sa SG nag apply.

Just an update as of 04/04/2014:

When I got to the visa embassy area, i was the only client and it took only less than a minute to check my documents and tell me to collect my passport this tuesday from 1:30 - 4:00 PM.  Mas mahaba pa ang byahe ko (20 minutes). 

The only thing is, Japan embassy in SG only gives single entry good for three months.  If my flight is within 4 - 6 months from today, I need to come back on the 4th month to apply.   

Also, only the Japan Embassy in Manila gives 3 years multiple entry visa.

Sinosoli naman nila orig ITR di ba? Although I also included request letter of return of original documents.

^ sis FOURever, wala silang binabalik na documents unless siguro may request pero sabi sa kin sa travel agency wala pa ding assurance na ibabalik nga.

^thanks sis. I thought ibabalik nila kasi nakalagay na orig copy saka photocopy. Form 1701 kasi business lang kami. Kaya pala ayaw ni daddy ibigay yung orig copy kasi di daw binabalik sana ibalik samin
