spring time kasi ang bloom and mid-march to early april daw.. hindi kasi kame pwede umalis ng may pasok pa mga kids ng kuya ko so first week ng april talaga sana since conflict scheds na at yung tita mismo namen from tokyo uuwi tapos my parents will also leave the country by holy week (dapat makabalik kame before they leave) kaya available sched lang is first week of april… sayang if hindi namen aabutan waaaa

^ yup sis, sumakto sa trip namin. My brother is based in Japan din (about an hour from Tokyo) and sya yung nangulit nung una na i-change namin trip date kasi sayang daw. E sabi namin, yung na ang best time for us kasi tinitipid namin leave credits ni husband and if holy week e me 2 days agad na holiday + me two weekends kaya ilang days lang na VL magagamit ni husband (umalis kami MLA  Friday before Palm Sunday, uwi namin Monday after Easter Sunday). Sabi namin balik na lang kami some other time for sakura. Ayun, 1 week before our trip, tumawag kuya ko, tuwang-tuwa kasi aabutan daw pala namin sakura kasi nagsimula na mamulaklak sa kanila and sa Tokyo din.

Sana maabutan nyo din sis. Malay mo sumakto din sa trip nyo. don't miss Shinjuku Gyoen, super ganda ng mga sakura dun. Maganda din sa Ueno Park and Chidorigafuchi Park for night-time viewing.

For visa application, sa Rajah Travel kami nagpa-assist. 3rd week of Feb kami nag-apply. Sa kanila na din kami kumuha ng airfare for Delta, since halos same price lang naman if direct kami book ng airfare. One set of supporting documents lang kami ni husband, pati sa bank statement since nilagay naman namin na sya gagastos for the trip. Naka-declare din sa application forms namin na andun brother ko, pati details nya.

i'll try if I can do the visa application alone.. 2k ang fee sa agency kasi e. andame namen haha! 5adults 1kid

^ sis, i think hindi pwede sa Japan ang personal visa application. Through accredited travel agencies lang. Cheapest yata na agency fee is 1200/pax. Sa Rajah is 1500/pax.

regarding ITR what if kapag wala pa? like sa situation ko na kakastart ko lang sa family business pero i have accounts na joint with my mom??

^ sis, in my case (housewife for 4yrs na, so no recent itr), we  just submitted my husband's itr for the both of us. I'm not sure kung pano in your case.

^^ sis sa Discovery Tours ako nag apply. 1k lang for tourist visa application. I think they can give discounts yata for group (3 persons up). You can check their website.

nagiinquire na kasi ako sa Friendship Tours sa Visiting Relative kame since dun kame magsstay sa bahay nila 2k/ea din against Tourist Visa na 1,200 lang

May mas mura pa pala sa Friendship Tours, sige nga I will make a mental note on Discovery Tours for the next time. I hope the location of Discovery Tours is convenient though...

I have the same question re affidavit. Is this formal kaya na notarize or pwede na ang may datung ang gagawa para sa susuportahan?

sis bagaholic, ilang months ang binigay na visa sayo? 30 days pr 90 days?

we applied Feb2013, that time di pa approved yung multiple entry for Filipino tourists, puro pang-single entry pa lang. so we only got single entry, valid for 15 days (our trip was for 11 days lang naman).

^ for the affidavit of support, that i don't know. kasi yan ata is required lang pag me JP resident na magso-sponsor ng trip (lodging or whatever). in our case kasi, even if my brother is there, we have rental apartment booking, and last minute it was decided na we'd stay with them on weekends (the rest, we stayed in a rental studio apartment). and we declared na own expense namin ni husband ang trip (substantiated by the financial docs we submitted) so we did not need any affidavit of support. just ask the agency na magpa-process ng visa nyo kung san kukuha nun at kung me prescribed format pa. sa pagkakaalam ko kasi, medyo madaming addl documents kapag me "sponsor" na taga-dun.

^^ sis, pag 15 days ang binigay na visa, upon release ng visa, dapat ilabas na din sya within the 15 days, tama ba?

^ iba ang invitation sa mag sponsor. invitation letter, simple lang. pag magsponsor, that means na sila ang magsponsor ng trip mo. madaming documents talaga to from the sponsor like Family Registration, Residence Certificate, Income and Tax certificate, etc etc.

^ di naman sis. Three months ang validity nung visa namin before. So we can leave anytime within the visa's validity. Basta 15days lang ang stay doon.

Ah okay, so sis, pano kung plano namin april first week pumunta ng Japan, is it okay to apply for our visa feb palang? kahit ba 30 days lang ang ibigay samin, tapos feb nabigyan ng visa, pwedeng sa april pa yun ibyahe?

ang thinking ko kasi palage is pag 15 days ang visa na binigay, dapat ibyahe bago pang 15 days after marelease ang visa. lage kasing 3 months ang bigay sakin dati kaya no idea ako sa iba.

^ depends kasi sa validity ng visa na ibibigay sa inyo. But I guess, standard naman yung 3 months validity nila. Longer na nga yata ngayon since they started issuing multiple-entry visas na. Usually, two months before trip date e pwede na mag-apply. In our case, we applied one month before our trip. Mabilis lang naman processing nila, less than 1wk lang. Ask na lang the agency sis, they can advise naman when's the best time to apply for your visa given your intended date of travel.
