You should go out of the city.. Alton is a small town in IL which is one of the most haunted small towns in america. Yung buong town daw was built with bricks from the old prison during the civil war. So the whole town is just eerie! Ang saya lang magghosttour. hehe

Sis, Chicago has a lot of activities in the summer! You should be in the city though. Ang daming streetfests with bands halos every weekend. Next weekend will be the air and water show. Lots of very good restaurants in the city! All my out of town guests like going around the city because it is very vibrant and with lots of fun things to do. Buhay na buhay rin ang North Ave Beach or Montrose beach. Free concerts too at Millennium Park, pwede kang magpicnic while listening to music. I almost don't want to leave the city in the summer dahil ang daming pwedeng gawin.

They say Pequod's is a lot better than Lou Malnati's, parating mahaba ang pila. I love Lou Malnati's though.

My husband and i are going to chicago this november for 5 days. He will be there to attend a medical convention. Safe ba to join mga local tour?

I miss Chicago! I gained a lot of weight here but no regrets! I loved all the experience! Do try Del Seoul (OMG! to die for tacos!), Molly's Cupcakes (love love love them all), Tapa's Bar at Lincoln (have to double check on the location), Royal Hibachi Buffet! (OMG!lobsters, crabs and oyster all you want), Lou Malnati's (deep dish pizza OMG!), Olive Garden (Yummy food! and the wine cellar here is amazing!), Portillo's (super sarap na salad! and sandwich), AL's (my favorite italian beef), and the usual TGIF, Chili's, IHOP and a lot more! now you know why I gained so much weight lol

Gnela_21, thanks to Yelp! Lol. Speaking of places to eat, there is a new Filipino restaurant in the city, more on the north side I think, that my friend saw on Facebook. I saw pics of the food and looks good to be on the must try list!

When you say safe, do you mean you won't get mugged? Or if the tour is worth your time? As for safety, downtown is pretty safe. November will be cold so I don't know if they have those river architectural tours still.

Precious_girl I love Molly's Cupcakes! For me, the best cupcakes in town because of their center filled cupcakes. I heard they opened a store in NYC now. Is that Cafe Babareeba the Tapas Bar in Lincoln Park?
