Waahh...i miss chicago! We stayed there for a year 2008-2009 coz of my hubby's work. We stayed at Marina towers in downtown. I want to experience the four seasons again! I wish mapadala ulit jan si hubby!

^Yikes! Sis, hot and humid ang summer months dun. Expect higher fares since that is summer season thus peak season. You can check Cathay Pacific, meron na silang direct Chicago flights via HKG. I'll actually be flying with them this May. I paid around USD1800++ dahil peak travel ex MNL and I wanted to accumulate points kaya medyo mahal.

May promo ang Korean Air, Manila to US East Coast (including Chicago) $650 lang all-in.  Travel on Sept 16 onwards.  I'm not sure about the other details.  My travel agent just mentioned this to me last week.

^mid-September to November are already non-peak so the fares will definitely be lower during that period.

Ex-MNL peak season is April to end August then of course during the Christmas holidays.

m_lim, usually mainit ang July and August. Although, the weather here has been very unpredictable lately like yung last few weeks ng winter and early spring was unseasonable warm kaya hindi na alam ng tao ano ieexpect sa weather. I remember mga 2-3 years ago, medyo cooler ang summer noon kasi kailangan ng light jacket most times that summer.

Summer in Chicago is the best time to visit actually kasi ang daming outdoor activities and sobrang tuwang-tuwa lumabas ang mga tao that time. Maraming outdoor concerts (even free ones!) and mga street and neighborhood festivals. Ang daming pwedeng gawin.
