All about INTERNATIONAL Shipping / Express Mail Service (EMS) Service

Share niyo naman mga experiences niyo sa EMS (sa tingin ko kasi cheaper jan compared sa AIR21/FEDEX/JRS/etc)... Di ko pa kasi na-try magpa-ship (internationally) via EMS, ang natry ko lang eh sa LBC, AIR21 at JRS kasi within the country pa lang deliveries ko.. this time, may potential buyer abroad (hindi pinoy) kaya pinag-aaralan ko na how to use EMS.. may free pick up din po ba or need pang pumunta sa post office?

hindi lang po pala EMS, pati yung mode of payment niyo pag international shipping, pano yung payment/computation (in dollar, peso or currency nila)? i assume charge din natin sa buyers yung tax/doc stamps/etc..tama po ba? Im a newbie in international shipping po.. kaya every input is very much appreciated mga sis..

 EMS is at Philippine post and anywhere around the world,It is connected in government,not private like Air21,FEDEX,LBC etc.

 Rates at their websites,There are limitations in sending items through EMS,although some accepts like ''giving '' in return.Liquids,chemicals is a no no but sometimes they are lenient like wrapping it in a towel .

since EMS is tied with the local post office of any country then for Philippines, you may just visit the Philpost website @ www.philpost.gov.ph

if your supplier is from China and they are shipping thru EMS, then its www.ems.com.cn

if its from US, then its thru USPS @ www.usps.com

Aside from the courier, how about the payment methods that you used mga sis? aside from paypal? are western union, etc recommended?

just go to your courier company of choice, fill up their form, let them inspect the article (if needed), pay and you're done

i checked kasi sa fedex, may mga importation clearance pa etc..

^-- i suggest you use LBC or JRS Express to ship your item
if you want international courier company, DHL is the easiest to deal with
FEDEX is relatively good when shipping to the US

DHL or UPS for Asia shipments.  They have express service that lets you ship items without much hassles.

I've used EMS --- from Makati Post office in the past... sent items to Australia, US and UK ata. mabilis nman, ang sabi sa akin 2 weeks pero mas mabilis natanggap eh. I used to sell soaps, slimming pills, etc. nagdagdag lang ako for packaging kasi lapit lang sa office ko yung post office eh through Western Union yung bayad

okay naman gamitin ang EMS palabas ng bansa.

Pero yung papasok dito sa tin ang madugo. kasi as per customs ALL items are taxable na. =(

yesterday may kinuha akong package sa phil post galing US. Siningil ako ng Ph 3.6k +. gusto ko ma highblood!  pero wala akong magawa kasi kailangan ko yung item eh.

^naku sis, nangyari na din sa kin yan! Nakaka inis ang post office ng Makati. Sisingilin ka talaga ng mahal! Kaya mas okay pa sa iba kasi door to door talaga! Kahit mas mahal, ok lang, at least sure ka na hindi bubuksan yung mga padala and wala nang extra charges.

^ tumpak ka dyan. kaya ako now natuto na. padala ko nalang sa friend ko sa US then pa ship nalang siya dito via cargo box.

may international shipping ako to South Africa, wala namang nawawalang items throught EMS noh?

^sabi nung iba, minsan nawawala daw or binubuksan ng mga taga Post office.  Try Johnny Air. Pero you'll pick up the package sa Megamall branch ata. Not sure kung may ibang branches.  Try TNT, ok din ang service.

^Yung sa kin kasi, website yung nag offer ng EMS, so pwede amg order any day, pero ang pick-up ay weekdays lang.

ako ive been using Xend sa international shipping ko, wala silang arte just make sure liquid is bubble wrapped but if the package is morethan 2kg na hindi na accept ng xend so i use the post office na. so far ok naman lahat ng international shipments ko

^post office-EMS sis? how long usually bago makarating and saang countries ka na nakapagpadala? may ipapadala kasi ako 1kilo clothes to Ohio USA on Tuesday, di pa ako nakakapag-decide kung FedEx P2,600 or Post Office P1,300+ according sa Philpost website. Pag EMS ba around how much ang difference?
