Sis, ang alam ko ittrack nila yun using their country's respective EMS tracking sites. Once nareceive ng country nila yung item, dun palang magstart maging available yung tracking no. for tracing online.

Sa EMS ba same rate regardless of how big your package will be?
I mean, kasi yung rates nilang nakapost, based sa weight lang...

So does it mean same ang rate for 6 kilos puro clothes
and 6 kilos puro shoes with box?

Whether sa EMS pouch or EMS box ipapack same ang rate ng 6 kilos?

^ ang pagkakaalam ko sis oo. everytime i would call our local post to ask for a quote, they won't ask what specific items they are. sabi lang, basta ipackage ko daw wag ko lang isseal dahil iinspect pa nila

if i have my own box, pwede na daw yun. but they also have supplies na i can use.

i've found a supplier from china and u.s., they 're suggesting na DHL ang courier since mas mura than UPS.. kaso baka naman mas mapamahal ako lalo dahil sa tax na babayaran.. door to door delivery ba ang DHL? and if door to door ba, wala nang tax na babayaran sa customs? sensya na.. first timer here.. hehe..

^ Sis DHL is very expensive. Mapapamahal ka ng bongga dyan. hehe!

EMS is door to door, pero mahal din yun. Depende sa items na ipapaship mo, if yan yung mabibigat, opt for something cheaper than EMS. Most of the time, it even costs more than the items itself.

Yung mga Air Lifted or SAL ata yun Ask ka sa local post office.

kahit ano pa ang iship mo at kahit anong courier/forwarder ang gamitin mo basta't hindi ito nasa balik-bayan box, ito ay dadaan sa customs

DHL, UPS, FEDEX, EMS, etc... lahat ito ay door-to-door

pero kapag EMS at may kaylangan ka bayaran sa customs, meron kang matatanggap na note from post office saying na dumating ang package mo at ito ay nasa kung saan post office na malapit sa'yo
at ikaw ay may kaylangan bayaran na XXX amount of money for customs & duty tax

kapag DHL, UPS, FEDEX naman, door to door talaga yan
ang customs tax ay babayaran muna nila para ma-clear ang package mo for delivery then saka nila ito sisingilin sa'yo pagdating ng item mo sa bahay

malaki ba ang item? kung maliit lamang naman ito, opt for UPS
they have a flat rate box called UPS Express Saver.
basta kasya sa box at less then 0.5kilo, flat rate ang babayaran mo

at malamang na hindi na rin ito papatungan ng customs tax, basta state mo na less than $20 ang halaga ng item sa loob

paano mo malalaman kung magkano ang babayarn mo kung sakaling dumaan ito sa customs? use this to roughly estimate the amount

invoice cost of item + shipping cost = total cost taxable

tax = total cost taxable x 12%

this may be lower or higher than the actual amount since there's still the following things payable

duty = depends on the material or item shipped and where it was manufactured
handling charge = depends on the shipping company

does anyone know kung anong sizes/dimensions ng boxes ng EMS?
meron kaya silang kasing-laki ng 10kg box or 25kg box ng FedEx?

^ sis iba iba sizes nila pero definitely meron sila nung malalaki. I went there a few days ago to ship soaps going to Ireland, ay grabe. They used to small boxes na pinagisa nila para sakto yung pagkakafit ng soaps ko in it. Para pinagpatong yung dating. Ayon, kaya no standard size talaga. hehe. The lady even tried yung bigger box, may space pa, kaya ang ginawa nya pinagdugtong nya dalawang maliit na box.  and my item looked like it's wrapped in a packing tape talaga. pangit ng presentation. hehe. pero cute mga box nila, gusto ko yung tatak. hehe.

shipping companies use volumetric weight to determine how much you should pay for the shipment.

volumetric weight is computed as:

L x W x H / XXX

XXX is their divisor and normally it's 3000 or 3500

now, how does this affect your shipment and cost?
if the weight is small and you try to put this on a big box, the shipping cost would be high

shipping companies provide pouches for only a maximum of 0.5kilo of items, so a 6kilo of item won't fit a pouch

iyong 6 kilos nila is the volumetric weight, so try to pack your item on a fitting box and get the volumetric weight.  kung ano makuha mo, doon mo icheck ang rates nila.

use this formula to estimate:

cost of item + cost of shipping x 12% = tax to pay

wala sis yan yung gamit ko pang track eh.. huhu delayed na kasi yung item.. to naman si buyer ayaw pumunta ko sa post office! naman talaga oh.. pag naman nakatapat ka ng uncooperative buyer talaga... hays

Just want to share, I shipped a package to Japan yesterday, I used EMS sa post office, 5kilos in a big box, yung box na binigay sakin bale naghanap lang sila ng available box nila dun, so next time alam ko na, I can bring my own recycled box then cover na lang with Manila Paper & packaging tape after. P2,656 for 5 kilos to Japan
