What do I need to bring?ı All the basic requirements for a visa:o Interview Appointment Letter;
o DS 160 Confirmation Copy (please note that it is important that you fully complete this before
arriving at the Embassy for your interview);
o Passport;
o Fee Receipt from Bank of the Philippine Islands
o One Photo (white background only)
o All prior passports and U.S. Visas
ı Please bring ALL available old passports, not just those with previous U.S. visas.
ı Make sure to bring alternative government-issued identification (in addition to your passport) to
present upon entry.
What about supporting documents?Please Note: There is no complete list of documents that guarantee visa issuance. It is more important that
you can provide detailed, complete answers during the interview, and that you answer truthfully and with as
much candor as possible. In the end, issuance or denial of a visa depends upon whether or not you, as the
applicant, can overcome the presumption that you intend to immigrate to the United States. Because of this,
always keep in mind that your qualification for a visa is not dependent on the number of documents you bring.
ı For students, please bring your latest school results, transcripts and degrees/diplomas. Also bring
monthly bank statements, fixed deposit slips, or other evidence of financial support. NOTE: You do
NOT need to obtain a letter signed by the bank branch manager summarizing your total deposits.
ı For working adults, please bring evidence of your income for the three months immediately prior to
your interview.
ı Business owners should bring their company registration, bank statements, annual reports and
income statements.
ı Original documents are always preferred over photocopies.
ı If you are visiting a relative who resides in the United States, carry photocopies of the relative’s proof
of status (e.g. Green Card, naturalization certificate, valid working visa etc.).
