ok lang portugalbear, kasi may kulang pa ko na supporting documents e. okay na ko sa february na lang. pano mo nakita by the way? kasi nung natapos ko na yung pag-fill up ng form, may nag-popup na "no seats available..."

^Sis, you could view the available dates by clicking "Appointment wait times" on ustraveldocs homepage. Tapos it will direct you to a page na may 3 options ka. Click mo yung "view available dates."

Not sure kung exactly ganun yung wordings, but the thought's something like that.

^got it. thanks angeljolie. so yung green dates are available pa? i tried the tourism calendar but interview dates are not available. ang nakita kong meron pa is yung sa business calendar. so yun yung nakita mo?

Mukhang mabilis maubos yung sa tourism kasi the last two times I checked, ang nabawasan eh yung sa tourism.

i got my schedule na. parang kinabahan ako bigla. 6 days yung nakita ko pang open, 3 days for next week and 3 days for feb (2 on the first and 1 on the 2nd week). biglang nagkaroon ng available dates kaya grab ko na. hehe.

sis_sobootylicious - good luck to us both.  nakasched kami first week of Feb.  renewal kami ng anak ko and renewal din yun MIL ko after nagexpire a long time ago.  kwento ko later what happens.  i hope di kami pahirapan.

Ask ko lang for any of the sis who had their interviews this year - what time ka dapat nasa US EMbassy.   I got the earliest appt available - 6:45AM, the letter said 15 mins before dapat nasa embassy na kami.  I plan to be there mga 5:30AM.  is that too early?

^hindi naman sis, oks lang yang time na yan.May mas maaga pang dumadating kesa sa time na yan.
Nung kumuha ako ng us visa for my kids and hubby 2 years ago,  7am yung kinuha kong sked, andun na kami ng 5:30 am at meron pang nauna sa amin. Ok na yumg medyo maaga kesa late. at least medyo relax relax ka na sis.
Renewal ko na pala this November. Travel pa ako isa sa US this May bago ako mag renew.

Thank Sis K_Heart.  worried lang ako baka matagal ang waiting time kasi kasama ko MIL. baka mapagod.  may benches ba diyan para makaupo si MIL?

^sis,pag hindi pa nag-papasok sa loob mismo ng us embassy, ang nearest na pwedeng upuan ay dun sa waiting shed area although maraming tao. pero before you know it, someone will call your group na para mag line up kayo outside the embassy going inside sa mismong us embassy. pero pag nasa loob na ng embassy,madami na sis upuan, : )!

good luck to us both sis portugalbear. kaya natin 'to. hehe. just feel confident lang para masagot mo ng maayos yung mga tanong ng consul. scary daw yung black American na consul sabi ng friend ko. ewan ko lang kung nandun pa yun. yikes! sana naman wala na sya.

salamat sis.  super praning na nga ako na baka kulang pa tong dala ko. research galore ako sa internet kung ano pa nga kailangan.  one blog i saw said that pati daw xerox ng page 1 of your passport required.  sabi ko what !!! now ko lang narignig to ah. kaya sige better safe then sorry, nag xerox na ako. balitaan ko kayo.  kelan interview mo sis?

^shucks! kelangan pa photocopy ng bio page ng passport? interview ko on the feb 11. kayo ng kid and MIL mo kelan?

in our case 2yrs ago, we brought tons of documents but we were never asked to present any of those. Sobrang bilis lang ang interview, the three of us, me, my hubby and my 6yr old daughter at that time took only 5mins maybe even less. Most of the time the consul was typing at the computer so glances lang sa min while asking questions. Thank God we were granted 10yrs Visa.  Yung mga nadedeny, kadalasan wala ring hinihinging documents sa kanila. Pag sa tingin nila , there's a strong possibility that the applicant may not return sa pinas, denied na agad. So the idea is you should have a very strong ties in the Phils  para alam nila babalik ka.

Question ladies, has anyone experienced accompanying their elderly relative for a visa renewal interview? My Mom-in-law's visa is expiring soon and she needs to renew it for our trip in July. Eh medyo kailangan na may mag-alalay sa kanya when she walks. Do we need to make paalam in advance and who to make the request?

sis mommyshek - thanks for the advice.  dapat daw very confident ang sagot kasi nga i have only 1 min to prove myself and that's it

sis mama squeak - i will observe and let you know.  you can try calling the embassy hot line to find out if pwede mag-alalay kasi have difficulty walking by herself
