i love girltalk! this thread will be very helpful in the renewal of my husband's visa

Mga sis - share ko lang yun experience ko with the new us visa system.  same requirement in filling out the DS160 online.  payment can either be over the counter sa bpi or online if you have a bpi account.  now here's the difference.  dati, di nila chinicheck whether nagbayad ka na.  now mahigpit na sila.  when you book your appointment, the system will check muna if you paid.  the thing is, di totoo yun you can book your appointment within 4 hours after paying.  sabi ng call center meron daw 4 days ago nagbayad pero di pa daw confirmed sa system. nakakaloka.  in the meantime, yun preferred available dates mo for the interview nawawala na.  the call center agent said na average 2 days daw bago maconfirm ng us embassy system yun payment mo.  kaya let's see if by thursday i can book my appointment na.

makikita mo na yun available sched under Non-immigrant information - available wait time.  nakablock pa yun feb. sa jan open yun 3rd and 4th week except jan 17.

I want to apply here in HK. as i am a HK Resident pero di pa permanent (on dependant visa via my chinese husband). and my husband will apply as well, but in his case eh HK passport holder siya, so it's totally different.

my situation:
- i don't have much money in my bank here (total if converted to peso is mga 700k).
- i have a stable job with a good pay (Logistics Manager)
- our house is owned by my husband's parents and binigay na sa amin but the ownership is still under his parents.
- i have a business in Philippines (engineering company), which i hold 50% share.
- i have more than a million sa BDO sa pinas.
- i have been to lots of countries (sa visa - Japan, Korea, Taiwan and Europe)
- i am holding a multiple China Visa (2years validity)
- in my passport, makikita na every month umuuwi ako ng Pilipinas for 2-3 days. plus  China almost every weekend.
- i have a child pero nasa Pilipinas siya kase dun siya nag-aaral.
- i have relatives in the US all of them are American Citizen na (2 aunties and 2 uncles - siblings ng mom and dad ko)
- purpose: talagang for tour lang, since we always travel talaga plus syempre visit na rin sa relatives specially sa aunt ko na super close ko.

sis prettynvain - i think you stand a good chance of getting the visa.  just make sure you establish the ties well. meaning show him that you have a job and a business to take care and have every intention of coming back, and you have already thought about where to go and when.  importante yan.

hi there. anyone here who works from home and has applied for a US visa already? i'm a content writer, my employer is based in Singapore, salary is output based. i can ask for a cert. of employment, but how much compensation should be indicated there? also, if i will be asked for payslips, what will i present? walang ganun eh...

i've had a US visa before, 10 yrs multiple, which expired last year. went to the US once, for 3 weeks. my husband has a US visa, 10M. he has a stable job.

my MIL who lives in the US will really be shouldering our expenses. read earlier that it might be a reason for denial. eh talaga namang siya mag shoulder. should we indicate otherwise?

my 2 yrs old daughter has a scheduled interview on january 28 for tourist visa.. ano ano [textspeak!] mga questions na tinatanong?.. and docs na hinihingi ng consulate?.. kc dati samin.. wlang docs n hinanap.. few questions [textspeak!] tinanong then they gave us multiple entry visa. sana makapasa [textspeak!] daughter ko..

hi sis minekoh30, ishare ko lang nung nag apply kami ng visa for our eldest daughter last Nov 2008 pa ito pero baka makatulong.

she was 7 yrs. old then accompanied by my hubby, pero ang hubby ko ang ininterview at hinanapan ng docs.  in our case kasi during that time meron na kaming mag asawang visa.

ang mga tinanong: kelan huling nagpunta ng US (Oct'08 )
                            gano katagal nag stay (2 weeks)
                            purpose  (Convention)
                            may trabaho ba ang spouse (yes)
                            magkano combined income (####)
 
docs na hinanap:   birth certificate ni daughter
                            passport ni hubby (to check his visa, entry and exit                   
                            stamp ng immigration)
                            proof of income (certificate of employment namin       
                            with stated income)

then she was approved and 4 days lated received her passport with 10 year multiple

They will not ask your daughter anything.  the parents will be interviewed instead.  for my son, my husband was renewing his visa kaya pinasama ko na yun son ko.  he was 4 or 5 then.  kasama din ako. ang tanong, what are going to do in the US and when are you leaving.  That time may invite siya for a conference in Orlando.  My husband presented the invite with all details.  Kaya yun sagot niya bringing the whole family to orlando florida.  consul asked if wife has visa.  we said yes but he didn't ask to see it.  tapos yun na. for my son he just ask what's the flavour of the wafer he was eating.  (gutom na kasi anak ko sa tagal).  They didn't ask for anything but i brought all the necessary docs (birth certificate, marriage cert, bank acct cert, cert of employment etc).  mabilis lang if you and your husband have existing visas and nagamit mo na and you didn't violate their laws.  hope that helps.

^Di naman pero dapat "monalisa" smile. When I had my photograph taken for the visa, ayaw ng photographer na nakalabas teeth ko when I smiled. Baka kasi madeny or ipaulit sa akin. Ang hirap kaya. hehe

I tried to get a scheduled appointment yesterday, to no luck, no seats available na for this month. argh! next month na ako.
