For me, sis mas maganda you tell the truth na.  since it's company sponsored, di ka hihingin ng bank statement mo etc.  but be ready to show company documents like invitation to join the seminar etc and know the  company well kasi i'm sure they will ask you what your company does and what your work is and how long you've been with this company etc.  For me, mas malaking chance mo to get the visa with the company backing you up. hope this helps

ano ba talaga mga requirements? may mga naririnig kasi ko na mas okay daw kung married, dapat may property tapos dapat good job with stable income.. when they say stable income,how much do they mean?

may mga kakilala ko na parang overqualified pa nga pero nadedeny pa rin at twice pa

pati ba work visa mahirap din sa states? ang hirap maging philippine passport holder.. gusto ko kasi sana magpabalik balik na lang sa states if possible kasi andun lahat ng relatives ko..

^I have heard the same thing but I've never been denied a visa even when I was single. I have applied a number of times, different kinds of visas (A2 & B1/B2) & validities (single n multiple entries, pati multiple indefinite before, heehee) but so far, ok naman, even upon entering the US.

No one can say naman if you're 100% sure to get a visa even if you have all the requirements. It depends din sa consul so all that you get here are tips and not surefire ways of getting a visa approved.

anyway here's ny situation:

-i was born in saudi and lived there for 13 years ewan ko kung makakatulong ba to o hindi..

-i have a stable job woth minimum salary..

-i have relatives in the states who are already citizen

-if ever,i would be going with my friend because we are going to visit our
best friend who lives in new york.. should i state this as my purpose of the trip? do i also need a letter from my friend?

-just in case,my brother would be supporting the trip..

anyway this would be in the future..sana tulad ng japan and korea wala na rin tayo visa sa us

^Sorry na lang tayo.  Mas advanced and financially ok yung mga countries that you stated kasi eh, plus they have existing US military facilities, which helps sa ties, whether we want to acknowledge it or not.

I once attended a seminar hosted by the US embassy regarding their visa application process.  The consul advised that the main goal of the applicant is to prove that they are coming back to the Philippines.

But for me, based on the question and answer portion that happened after, no matter how many documents you present, it will all boil down to the impression you make on the consul and whether or not he/she thinks you're coming back.

Which is why "ties" are important to them - your reason for coming home - spouse, job, business, property, proof that you've been to another western country and actually came back, etc.

All the requirements are on their website.  Also, since their website is complete I would not suggest paying someone just to fix your documents.  It would be a waste of money.

I'll be flying in June. My airfare will be shouldered by my cousin in Cali (Manila - Cali) and my bf of almost 6 years (Cali - NC). Some people told me that I should not mention that I'll be going to my bf. Tell the consul instead that I'm going to my cousins. Tho i will really stay for awhile with my cousins.

I plan to stay there for 2-3 weeks. I am an Acctg Manager here and 5 years na ko sa company namin. Mag-aapply ako ng fiance after pa ng trip sa June.

Any advice po is welcome coz i'm scared to get a visa kahit pa my intention is clean naman. TIA.

kung mag expire yung visa by 6 may 2011 and you're still in the US, di ka nakabook agad ng flight before that. say nakabook ka ng flight pabalik manila ng 7-10 may 2011, ok lang ba yun? or talagang kelangan by 6 may nasa pilipinas ka na?

Advice lang sis. Never mention nga na andun bf mo. Make it seem like andito sa pinas, if they ask. Otherwise baka ma-deny ka since pag andun bf mo, then stronger ang ties mo dun instead of in here. Just say you'll be with your cousins and you'll be touring around. Good luck!

^^kung inabutan ka ng expiry ng visa mo pero nasa US ka na, kahit expired na yun visa mo, pwede ka pa rin magstay sa US as long as pasok pa rin sa "permitted to stay until <date>" na period na binigay ng Immigration Officer sa iyo.

Yun date ng validity ng visa, nagrerefer lang dun para sa pag enter mo sa US. meaning dapat pasok dun sa validity ng visa mo yun arrival mo sa US.

yun stay mo sa US, ang dapat na nirerefer-an mo dun e yun tatak na binigay sa iyo ng immigration officer. pwede kasi bigyan ka ng 1 month, 3months or 6months na stay lang. kahit valid pa yun visa mo pero kung 1 month lang ang maximum stay na binigay sa u, dapat umalis ka ng US after 1 month.

I have been denied 3x already since I made a mistake of telling them na I will be visiting my bf back then. I also have a sister already based there with her family. Kaya stronger daw ang ties ko sa US instead of here.

Eventually bf and I married. Pauwi-uwi siya dito since may green card siya. We now have a 3 mos old baby and thinking of trying to get a visa again. In all honesty wala pa naman kami plan to settle there. Hubby stays there, but we've setup businesses here since mag-bf palang kami. We have a laundry, resto, distribution and IT companies here. I handle them nga if hubby is away. With regards to finances, ok kami. We live in a condo here which hubby owns and have 2 cars, one we just bought 4 mos ago. We're doing well here and this is for our retirement din kasi. Hubby just goes there dahil sayang yung green card. I think nasa 3 years na yung card.

Do you think may chance na ma-approve ako or si baby if we apply? Gusto lang kasi talaga kami ipasyal ni hubby sa US. But of course, I don't know how to convince them of that.

It is ok to still be in the US even after your visa expires as long as the permit to stay given to you by the IO is stilll valid. You find it stamped in the I-94 stapled in your passport. The visa validity is just for permission to go to their port of entry but your period of stay is determined by the immigration officer there.

Hi all,

I am planning to apply for a US Tourist Visa and I was told that it is really stressful.  My boyfriend will be shouldering the expenses for my trip but I was told not to declare that I will be visiting my boyfriend cause it will result to an instant denial.  Is this true? My sister lives in the States and I have other relatives there. I am now in a dilemma whether to disclose these information or not.

As backgrounder:

I don't have properties under my name but I work as a manager in a company for a year now. ( Will this be enough reason for the consul to think that I will return to the Phils?)

I have visited Malaysia only. (it is non-Visa so it would not really count)

I have my mom who is a senior citizen to take care of.

Any advise will be much appreciated.  Thanks in advance

what is visapoint? and how can we purchase a visapoint pin? how does that work?

I think di na ginagamit ang Visapoint starting this year.  iba na ang website for the US embassy appointment system.  i'm in the process of collating my docs before applying for the visa. ang magada lang with the new website, you can actually see which dates are available for interview.  i'm hoping wala na additional pay for the interview.
