^I haven't heard anything like that sort. I think if the Embassy will deny you a visa, they will tell you that in the first place.

Thanks for replying. Actually, me din. I never heard of actual experience na ganun. Somebody in another forum replied to my post na there are instances daw na you get denied kahit sinabi approved.  Thats why I got so paranoid. Super intense na nga during interview tapos additional stress pa while waiting for the Visa. haay...

Well, I hope it wont happen naman. Its Monday today, for sure makukulitan nanaman ang Air 21 sa pag follow up ko ng passport.

My visa was approved today. I still don't know how many years though but I'm hopeful that it would be 10 years.  There's still hope for single ladies getting approved I guess

^Usually 3 to 5 days delivery. Nung amin before we were interviewed on a Tuesday morning and we received our passports on a Saturday.

last tues din kami. Up to now wala pa... checked with Air 21, our passport is still with the embassy.

Yes, my passport was delivered last Saturday around noon.  The embassy released my passport Nov 5. It took Air21 just a day to deliver.

Hello, walang sumagot sa last question ko but I hope someone will answer this one:

Paano ang parking sa US embassy? Weird question, I know, but I want to know if they let cars in or where I can leave my car when I go there for my interview.

sis walang parking for applicants sa US embassy pwede mo ipark sis sa may parang Museo dun sa gilid (may bayad lang) or dun sa may bandang unahan lang ata basta maraming naka park, lakad lang naman...or pwede mo den park dun sa kabilang kalsada like sa Starbucks or Yellowcab kaso tatawid ka pa..pwede na sis sa Museo

Hi mga sis..

question: yung friend ko nagpunta knina sa embassy for her interview, she's applying for a working visa daw na sponsored ng company nya here sa pinas pero based sa Virginia, their company daw is sending them to the US for 6 months to gain working experience or some kinda of a training.. but the consul was asking for more documents of their US benefits, pinapabalik na lang ata sya or she was told to send the docs thru air21 pero hindi daw siya denied... parang pre approve pa nga eh..

e as far as I know wala naman ganun, once your lacking some documents db denied na agad and there's no such thing as PRE APPROVE visa right?

I was approved for a B1/B2 multiple pass last feb, I'm familiar with business visa and tourist but not with working visa...

^My dad received his passport last Thursday with a 10yr B1/B2 visa. He was interviewed last 08Nov lang. Both him and my hubby who was interviewed last month received 10yr visas. I hope by the time I renew mine and the kids when we get back from the US this coming summer, 10yrs din. Crossing my fingers.

I have a B1/B2 visa which is valid until March 2019. but my passport expires on April 2013. how does this work? will my visa still be valid if I renew my passport on 2013? if so, I'd bring two passports (the new one and the one with the visa) every time I go to the US?
matagal pa naman maeexpire yung passport ko, curious lang about how this should be handled in the future

hi sis, bakit hindi sya binigyan ng company nya ng complete documents? is it the first time of their company to send employees to US? kasi kung "beterano" na yung company nya in sending employees to US, dapat alam na lahat ng requirements needed to avoid delays and being denied sa interview. parang anlabo naman na kailangan nya pa isend yung docs nya.    did the consul get her passport? kasi if not, I believe na kailangan nya pa ulit magpa-sked for interview.

You just travel with both passports. The one containing the valid US visa and your new passport. No problem. Be careful though ha, because before, if you check the US Embassy MNL website, they say "Simply staple both passports together..." but now, do not staple anything onto the e-passport as it has a microchip inside. If I remember correctly, it is also stated in the passport not to do so as it will render this invalid?

when hubby and me applied for a US visa, the consul who interviewed us  asked me to  get additional documents as proof that we have a legitimate business kase both me and hubby are not employed. we returned on the following day and we were granted a visa.

34yo with 1 child
father of my baby was a us citizen
i worked in a government hospital, a resident physician
fiancee visa was out of the question kc i still want to finish my residency
and dito sa pinas magpractice.
gusto ko lang bumisita sa us with my baby.
i have peso and dollars saving.
travel already in HK, Macau, thailand and Malaysia
question: would it be possible ma approved ako ng tourist visa, if ito mga reason ko.

Ask your friend. Maybe he/she was issued a 221(g)letter...letter of temporary refusal. It's not a denial but it's just that the consular office needs to review/clear a few more things about that particular case. Sometimes the embassy asks for more docs, other times, they just need more time to review the case and ask for nothing else but time.

It happens and the embassy doesn't give you a time frame. If it's a 221(g) case and it's within the year from your original date of interview, you don't need to make a new appointment.

And yes, a lot of these cases are issued visas. It doesn't mean an outright denial if you lack some documents.

Come to think of it, when I was a teenager and my mom was the one who accompanied me during my interview, we were asked for my birth cert. I don't look like my mom eh...hehe...It just so happened that we did not have one with us that time...(pre-9-11 era  ) we went back the next day and I was still issued a visa.

hi mga sis... ask ko lang  first time ako mag aapply ng us visa may possibility ba na ma grant ako ng  visa  even though im unemployed? used to have a small  business before pero wala na
  im 24 ,single,with bank cert, owns a car, owns a house, nakapag travel narin  ako ng sing,thai,malaysia,australia and papua new guinea...and passport ko yung green parin ok parin ba yun? sasama ako sa friend ko for a vaca.sya renewal nalang , wala ako relatives  sa us just a few friends and dad ko lang pero dont know his whereabouts.one more thing nag claim ako dati ng citizenship   pero binalik nila papers ko kasi  kulang sa documents hindi ko na inasikaso kasi saktong nag 21 nako.hindi ba makalkal nila yun at lalo nila ako i deny? thanks in advance

bachoy 0819, maybe the US Embassy is asking for the approval notice from USCIS.  ganito kasi un, the company is supposed to file for a petition for an employee para mag-work [textspeak!] employee na yun sa affiliated company nila abroad.  that is not B1/B2 visa.  there is L1 or intra-company transfer visa.  [textspeak!] company sa US will petition for her if there is a project na kailangan ng expertise nya or may specialized knowledge sya and she needs to train employees abroad.  once approved by USCIS, she needs to bring the approval notice and petition papers to the US Embassy para ma-grant cya ng working visa (L1B).  iba din [textspeak!] case ng H1 visa holders.  I am an L1 visa holder.

@lonelygurl - the IO needs to determined whether you have good reasons to come back.  yun employment or a strong business is one of the biggest plus points especially if you've been with the company or your business has been there for a long time.   kapag wala kang work or business, to the minds of the IO, it will be very easy for you not come back. yun ang challenge, to come up with really solid reasons that will convince the consul na babalik ka.  also make sure you have enough savings for the travel. pwede ka rin madeny kung makita ng consul na you don't have enough money maski vacation [textspeak!].

she also said that she paid $500 sa company nya for processing her papers... and today daw sya pinapabalik sa embassy.. will keep you posted!

i know B1/B2 is for business and pleasure and L1 is for tourist...
