mrs S - unfortunately the biggest ties that really works for the consul is full time work or solid family business, or family with young children who needs to be tended to or anything similar.  anything to prove the you have reasons to come back.medyo mahihirapan yun friend mo kasi mukhang may duda na sila.  remember these guys are trained to read you.  kaya if may slight doubt sila, denied ka sigurado even if your intentions are not really to go on vacation.

gotchabear - malaing bagay yun you used your US visa in the past and did not attempt to do TNT.  basta sa form, don't put anything incriminating that will will make the consul think na may balak kayo to get married or mag TNT.  dapata all your answers relate to vacation and shopping.

basta strong family business and good income money (bank certificate a must) usually ok talaga yan...

gaya nga nang sabi nila...pag dating sa interview, wag masyadong mag elaborate nang kung ano 2x..kung anung nakalagay sa paper dun na lang mag base, kung ano ang tinatanong yun lang ang isagot wag na mag memention nang kung ano 2x kasi mas lalo makakasilip ng butas...although minsan meron mga pop up question, kaya dpat be prepared pa den...wag nang haluaan nang mga love relationship issue na chikka sa interview, kasi dun malimit na-dedeny...

as you have to show them, as a tourist na your their for vacation and shopping only weeeeee

talagang ganun talaga pag nasa age of 20's and applying for the 1st time medyo ma-hassle pero kung meron naman past record na naka-kuha na ng visa at walang TNT record...ok's yan

May quota kasi ang issuance ng non-immigrant visas per country. Forgot whether it's by quarter or what.

Actually, they prefer bank passbooks / statement of accounts / credit card statements worth 3months rather than the bank certification, which is super duper easy to forge.

gotchabear- mas maganda nga kung sabay sabay kayo para mas solid yun reason for vacation.  as for the baby, better read the requirements. alam ko at least one parent is presentbut you need to get a  certificate from the DSWD confirming that you are the legal guardian of the child and that it's with the father's consent na you are travelling without him or something like that.  sa anak ko, both my husband and i were present during the interview. so check mo din kung ano yun requirement.

sis gotchabear ...ang sabi naman nila sis ang best time to apply is month of December to January para good mood ang IO pero nasa applicant pa den naman yun at kung purpose...

nung inapply ko yung daughter ko last year December...nung in-ask ako ng consul how much is my income & savings, sinabi ko naman then ask niya ako any bank documents pinakita ko yung Bank Certificate (pero sympre naka ready pa den ang Bank Book for back-up), nung pag kita niya sa Bank Certificate ok nanaman

di naman siguro masasabing forge, as long na meron ka den back up na passbook ng bank mo to show them incase na hingin

^It's on the official website of the embassy that they prefer passbooks than certificates. Actually when I last applied, I brought certificates lang. But they never asked for anything that I brought anyway, so it doesn't matter. Haha. Super anti-climactic.

Super easy kasi to forge certificates and even passbooks and land titles, what have yous that is why they are constantly updating their requirements/application format...one time, I was waiting for my turn to be interviewed, I overheard the consul asking an old couple, "How do I know that that land isn't in the middle of nowhere?..." Nakakaawa makinig...

I'll be renewing my US visa after I get back from SFO/PDX/LAS this coming April. Leaving sometime April 15, my visa's expiring April 26 eh, staying for a month para sulit!

hi mga sis i am also planning to apply for tourist visa this december  for january sana.  i need some help and insights too ;-)

i was denied once when i applied for tourist visa, way back when i just graduated from college. now want to try my luck again.


im 27 years old
single
lawyer - 2 years
no substantial savings as i am still paying for my car and condo
past foreign travels are HK, Macau and  China

 i just want to have a month vacation lang sana.

may chance kaya na makatravel na ako dun this january?

mga sis na kakakuha lang ng visa. please share naman your moments here para may idea kami 

Mine is a multiple pass, since yung company namen ang nagsponsor ng visa application namen mejo hindi kame nahirapan ng sobra. pero yung isang officemate ko nadeny siya kasi nakita sa application niya na nursing graduate siya. pero come to think of it, 4 years na siya sa company and malaki talaga yung gross anual income niya. Minsan kasi depende sa consul, FYI lang po... pag dun kayo natapat sa mga korean na consul most likely deny na yun... meron dun caucasian na consul na nagtatagalog sa interview swerte pag dun kayo napunta kasi never pa daw yun nagdeny ng application...

My visa was approved today. I still don't know how many years though but I'm hopeful that it would be 10 years.  There's still hope for single ladies getting approved I guess

Hi! please help. My sister was approved yesterday.  I read in one forum na kahit sinabi na approved, may mga instance na may letter of denial parin pag deliver ng air 21? ?   super paranoid tuloy.  have you heard any kweinto na ganito??

For all sis who are planning to set their interview, sa November ang available date is Nov 16 and 17.  don't remember if may date available 2nd week of November.  for december, 1st 2 weeks lang.  after that not available yun dates.  not sure if the embassy intentially block off the dates and will open it later on.   I just booked my mom and my tita via visapoint.  sa Dec 2 ko na sila binubook because their original dates were 3rd week of Nov. hope that helps

Then you have to call the US EMbassy call center for the schedule.  they will charge you per minute you're on the phone with them.

How long is the waiting time for Air 21 to deliver the us visa? with my NIV, it took 2 days from application. My sister had her interview last Nov 2, up to now wala pa rin. We checked with some people that we met during that day, Air 21 delivered their Visas already.

Pls help?

sis - give it until monday.  kapag wala pa, call mo yun Air 21 to check.  yun officemate ko kasi nagmamadali because they needed to fly out kasi they needed to fly out na ata the next day, pick-up niya yun passport niya sa hub ng air 21 sa paranaque

Thanks for replying. Checked with Air 21, sabi nila.. the delivery will depend on when will the Embassy turnover the docs/passport to them. Up to now, wala pa din yung passport ng sis ko with Air 21. They cannot check with the embassy daw.

Will wait till Monday.  I posted a question a little earlier in this thread...  Do you know of any circumstance na pag hatid ng Air 21 (supposedly approved US VISA) na may letter of denial? and or humihingi ng additional docs ang EMbassy?

^I haven't heard anything like that sort. I think if the Embassy will deny you a visa, they will tell you that in the first place.

Hello, walang sumagot sa last question ko but I hope someone will answer this one:

Paano ang parking sa US embassy? Weird question, I know, but I want to know if they let cars in or where I can leave my car when I go there for my interview.

^cars are not allowed inside.  You can park across the embassy.. pwede infront of Emerald resto & Starbucks
