ok thanx sis..paano yung sa interview sis? may confirmation letter ba confirming that ur scheduled on that date? wala kasi ako natanggap sa email ko but i have a confirmation number, they gave it to me when i called nung nagpa schedule ako..

Ako dati we used visapoint for scheduling and may natanggap ako email on my interview schedule.  baka better you call the call center to clarify why you didn't get a confirmation by mail on your schedule.  Update us on the outcome of your interview and God bless

Balak ko nga sana magtake ng NMAT this December then hopefully pag pumasa, sasabihin ko sa interview na balak kong mag-doctor pagkagraduate ko. Para at least may reason pa ako para bumalik. Do you think that'll work? Haha 

yung thesis groupmate ko nung college, ginamit nyang ties yang 'will take up a medical course' since he's passed the NMAT. kakagraduate namin that time and his parents are treating him by touring him sa US.  Parents nya lang na approve, nadeny siya and the consul asked him to come back na lang when he has his enrollment certification sa Med School.

but that was a few years back before the recession. who knows, mas maluwag na sila this time, so baka pwede na yun.

Good day mga SISes,we are planning to invite my mom to visit us here in NY at pinapasama namin ang pamankin ko na 4 years old,pano po ba gagawin nmin sa pagaaply ng visa pra sa pamangkin ko,hindi kya  mahirap makuhanan ng visa ang pamangkin ko?My husband & I are immigrant /permanent resident here.Please pa share nman  kun  me ideas kau or experience na ganito.Thanks

finally, was able to complete the online appli, sobrang laging nag e error with my conenction, ilan beses ako umulit. s monday na ako tatawag for an appointment sana makaabot pa ako the soonest kasi 3rd wk of nov ang intended trip ko.

I just posted a reply sa Passport Thread. Ask ko nalang din sa inyo dito.

I'm renewing my US visa soon (expiring 26 October). Wala pa akong nagagawa kahit isa. And ngayon naisip ko lang na i-renew ko na din yung passport ko, which will expire February 2011, para isang passport nalang in the future ang dala-dala ko.

Aabot pa kaya ako given na next month na expiry nung visa ko?

Suggested ba to renew yung visa bago mag expire? More chances of being granted renewal ba kung ganun?

And what docs do I have to bring? Kailangan ba ng certificate from banks, employer, etc?

Natakot din ako kasi nabasa ko sa previous posts na may nadeny dahil may pending petition. Ngayon ko lang naalala na meron nga pala ako, but will still have to confirm status with my brother. Alam ko nakafile lang pero wala pang number, wala pang development.

Tinatanong ba talaga yun? And if tanungin, ano dapat isagot?

Kinakabahan na ako kasi I'm doing this for the first time. Bata pa ako nung pumunta ako sa Embassy for an interview!

me & hubby are renewing our visa. ano kaya chances namin. 10 years ago pa nag expire and once lang nagamit. we have a good business here and we have 8 branches company owned and 5 branches franchisees namin. and we also have soon to open branches. we will bring our 2 kids sa pag apply ages 8 and 12. our reason for US trip is to visit immediate relatives.

Bring all docs needed as if first time ka mag-aaply.  normally the IO does not check the docs for renewal.  but who knows.  so better be prepard for the worse para di sayang yun bayad mo. maski renewal lang, pwede pa rin ma-deny.  if parents mo ang magbabayad, then you will need to bring docs that will prove that your parents has the money to fund the trip, and their statement that they are ok to fund your trip.  baka i-tanong sa iyo ano ang business ng parents mo etc.

The parents of your pamangkin must accompany the child when applying for the visa.  The usual docs required including marriage cert of the parents and the birth cert of the child.  dapat NSO copy.

don't dress shabbily o parang pupunta ka sa beach  smart casual is good enough

yes you have more than enough time pa to apply.  if i'm not mistaken, basta ma slot you can schedule na.  make sure lang that you've already paid and completed the application and complete na docs mo.

Pero clueless ako sa lahat kasi first time ko to do this alone. Was given a ten-year visa so bata pa ako nung nag-apply ako dati and kasama ko pa parents ko so wala akong winorry.

Kahit ba employed na ako okay lang for me to say na parents ko or siblings ko mag finance ng trip? If sabihin ko na ako mag finance, mga magkano dapat yung balance ng accounts mo?

And usually ba, pag magpa appointment ka online or through phone, ilang weeks after na yung susunod na available sked?

My visa is expiring on the 26th kasi kaya mejo hinahabol ko.

Sis Liam - i strongly suggest you read back and learn from the experience of other sis.  the basics would be employer's cert, Income tax cert, bank statement, and assets - house title etc.  if may business ka, bus docs.  as i said, if sasabihin mo na parents mo ang magbabayad, nasaan ang proof mo na sinabi ng parents mo yan and anong proof mo na may funds ang parents mo for yourtrip.  remember kapag di ka confident sa sagot mo, or convincing ang sagot mo denied ka na immediately.  you only have siguro 2-5 mins to prove your cases.  i think ang rule of thumb ng IO, if they are not convinced, deny the visa and let the applicant bring stronger evidence

Tinutulungan ko yung friend ko, plan nya magapply ng visa (si friend, new application. si hubby, renewal).

Here's their status:
1 year 6 months na silang kasal, no kids yet
Si hubby, currently supervisor ng isang gas station (for documents naman, walang ITR syang maipresent kasi di uso sa province nila mga ganong submission ng tax sa employees, unless businessman sya). he plans to resign na rin para makaconcentrate sa kanyang souvenir business ng wife nya (friend ko).
may X,XXX,XXX joint account sya with his parents (current), X,XXX,XXX naman sa savings and XXX,XXX sa isang rural bank sa province.
been to the US 3-4 times already.
plans na magapply ng business permit and BIR registration si hubby (next month)para maging legal ang business nya.
may satellite office ang souvenir business nya sa Megamall and soon sa Eastwood Mall.
immediate family ni hubby nasa US na.

si friend ko naman, finance manager.
as usual di uso ang file ng ITR pag employees
di ganong kalakihan ang account sa bank
may business na pinangalan sa kanya ng kapatid nya (with business permit, bir -- may quarterly income tax daw sya), pero ang mga receipts na galing sa supplier, nakapangalan sa kapatid nya.

what do you think sisses, may good chance ba silang makakuha ng visa, considering na isa sa kanila eh renewal? consider ba ni hubby na yung friend ko yung ties nya?
