Payment for church ba? We paid first para ma reserve yun date. Then docs. Then interview.
Yes sis, payment for church, parang ganyan din process ng friends ko na nagpakasal na pero sa church namin they just got our names and date and we were advised they will call us for the interview, they didn't ask for our documents nor payment. they will schedule daw us muna for dulog ???

Precana is parang family planning na din and also pinag uusapan about sa family life with jesus as a center of your relationship. Pano nag start relation ship namin ayan muna tinanong tapos nung sabay na kami kinausap mga advices about family life ganyan.

^^precana - seminar given to the couple, along with other couples. In our case sa san augstin chuch kami. Seminar about marriage, how to make you marriage work, yung mga dapat sundin according to catholic faith.

May form/questionnaire that you have to answer then priest will interview you separately, tapos magkasama. If the parish priest din will celebrate your wedding rites, normally may interview din about sanyo as a couple.

OK change CHURCH na kami.

We chose the church kasi it's the church closest to our venue na madalas namin puntahan ni H2B.
Our wedding is on January, we went there July sabi sa amin get a marriage license daw muna.
So there kumuha kami,
after 2 months bumalik kami with our complete requirements and payment
tapos the lady I spoke with wrote down my name, phone number, date of wedding and sabi schedule daw kami ng dulog at TATAWAGAN na lang daw nila kami to let us know about our schedule.
Syempre I was worried because they did not even asked for our payment nor our requirements.
After two weeks, hindi pa din kami nakaka receive ng call or kahit text man lang sa kanila so we went there.

Sabi ko follow up lang kami kasi baka nagloloko yung cellphone ko at na-miss ko if they did contact us, the lady we originally spoke with was there but someone else approached us tapos she asked us taga saan ako, sabi ko from Bulacan tapos ang sabi niya hindi daw kami pwede dun, pumunta daw kami on our Parochial Church like "what?" eh bakit kami pinakuha ng requirements, bakit kami sinabihan they will schedule us for dulog? Bakit hindi niyo po kami ni contact for the last two weeks to tell us at least that we can't marry sa church na yun. hay Gusto kong mang away talaga nun kasi I was worried na wala na kami makukuha kasi 3months na lang kasal namin pero pinigilan ako ni H2B at siya nakipag usap.

So anyway, to cut the story short, after that incident we went sa isang church na medyo malayo sa venue namin which we also like tapos ayun in 30 minutes time naka fully paid na kami, may schedule na kami ng interview, pre cana pati kumpisal at sinagot ni ate lahat ng tanong ko mula sa music, sa door, sa bridesmaids, flower girls.

Oh my. Wala ako problema sa church, any church will do pero sana kasi yung tao sa office maayos kausap.

Sorry sa mahabang rant mga sis. I just want to share this.

Sis stylus this is the reason why hindi kami maka move on sa iba namin na supplier kasi hind namin ma finalize yung church, 6 months prep lang kasi kami so wala pa kami nabobook na invitation supplier, target is end of the month para madistribute na invitation on December.

True sis stylus, nakahinga ako ng maluwang when I found out our date was still available pati yung time namin. Hindi kasi bilog yung araw namin kaya hindi mabenta masyado which is a good thing   :)

I feel you sis. Same thing happened to us when we wanted talaga sa isang church kasi comvinient sa guest, and medyo related kay hubby.
But i got dissappointed sa parsih officd, take note laguna pa church, taga makati ako, and si hubby overseas.

To cut the story short, napunta kami sa Don Bosco Sta.Rosa and naka schedule na agad kami, nakapg submit na din ng docs agad na available. Wala din needed na downpayment, kasi half agad sabi ko if pwede sa next visit ko na lang, kasi wala akong avaiable cash nung time na yun.

 Blessing lahat yan sis.

Had our canonical interview last Friday. It was about 20 minutes lang, and magkasabay kami tinanong ni Father the whole time (although it was written in the form na may individual interview dapat and then magkasama). Nakakatawa kasi kinakabahan si fiance, since wala kami idea both kung anong tatanungin. So habang nag-aantay kami ng turn namin (there were 12 couples na nakaschedule that day, pang 7 kami, so we waited for mga 3 hrs almost), nag-isip sya ng mga possible questions. Like ilan na ang naging partners namin before each other, gano na kami katagal, san nagkakilala, mga ganun.

The good side is nung nakakuha kami ng church complete na requirements namin hehe   :)

Yes sis maukris, part of God's plan for sure.

done with the canonical interview, they asked us to fill up a form then wala ng tinanong si father kasi daw nasa tamag edad na kami pareho ni Hubby to be at ok naman mga sagot namin sa questionnaire. Mas madami daw siya tanong pag bata pa yung nagpapakasal  :)

hi girls, masyado ba maaga if our canonical and precana will be done a year before the church wedding? my fiance is based overseas kasi and he will be here in manila 1 year before our wedding for our civil wedding then baka ang next balik niya is a few weeks na lang before our church wedding. ok lang kaya yun? may validity period din ba ang canonical interview and precana?

Sis - just in case di pa nasasagot. :)

Canonical Interview is an interview by the priest which is not necessarily by your wedding officiating priest. The priests are required to this to ensure that the couple is not violating any Canon Law of the Church. Eg. are marriage between relatives, cousins, etc. They also check on the couples' views on certain situation that may be used in the future if there will be complaints on annulments in the future. We were asked to answer forms separately that asked questions like: Are you still willing to marry your partner if you found our he is gay or had another child or was married before, etc. Our priest is really good because he explained these all to us.

Pre-Cana is a series of seminar conducted by the parish to prepare you for married and family life. It's called Pre-CANA in honor of the New Testament's "Wedding at Cana". Pre-Cana are conducted by lay volunteers authorized by the parish. They are usually from the Family Life organization in the church. You will be taught on how to be good Catholics who will protect the sanctity of marriage and the family. Discovery Weekend (DW) can be an alternate for Pre-Canas.

I honestly liked both seminars. Useful talaga sya in prepartion for married life. It used to be just a "requirement" for me but I gained a lot of insights through the two interviews.

Clara De Montefalco Parish? Ano po ba mga tinatanong don? Actually nakapag pareserve na kami by Oct. 2017 pero 3mos before the Wedding date tska palang daw [textspeak!] Pre-Cana then 3weeks before the Wedding naman [textspeak!] Canonical Interview. Canonical Interview. Thank you sa mga sasagot  :) ;) :D

Hello sissies.. Kasi next year pa ang wedding namin. Kinakabahan kasi ako, dun talaga namin gusto magpakasal. Thank you sa mga magrereply. :(
