^Sis, those are not the only "offenses" one commits to deserve a moderated or watched status. If you read the GT rules, bawal din ang mga subscribing/pasali/joining/emoticon posts. Even a mere "thank you" is seen as a subscribing post kasi wala naman naidagdag na helpful sa thread. One can always PM their thank yous para di nasasayang yung mga pages.

Watched is not as bad as it sounds. It is actually a first-level warning status to ensure that members comply with the rules. The system ensures that your status will eventually go back to normal.

How many warnings before you get "watched". ?

When a warning is issued  (I assume there is/are warnings before the award of the "watched" label) -- IMO, the specific offending posts should be pointed out to make the warning productive to the poster, such as  MAYE2K.

Another thing, when a warning/watched label is given out -- if it is due to another poster's complaint --  effort should be exerted to assess if the complaint is valid.  It seems unfair to do otherwise - coz what if you just responded strongly but not rudely to something pinned on you to which you cannot agree????

When you are asked the price of something  - bawal ba to post the response?

So, MAMA SQUEAK - when I can offer help to a poster - I should not say PM me?  Usually it is for medical or counselling referrals the poter specifically asks for.
(Ngek - dami kong post na ganun sa OC rules - kasi asking for my manual -- which I
share for free.  )

Sis aquacharly, I didn't receive any warning before I was being in WATCHED status, only when I was moderated lang. Kaya nga I was surprised when I've learned I'm being watched na. But anyway, with this thread, eventually na iintindihan ko rin.

As far as I know as long as it is within the context of the thread it should not be. Unless it was specifically stated na "No posting of prices". I think I saw one thread like this in the Techies board before.

I learned my lesson as I was also warned before for my PM call outs. I assume if a poster seeks your help they should message you privately.

IMHO, di naman bawal if the PM callout is included in a post that adds content to the discussion, but if yung post says pa-pm naman ng ganito, or PM me sis blahblah, then I think yun ang bawal, since you can send the person youre talking to a Private Message naman na rather than asking them to PM you.

Also, yung mga watched na members, sana theyd be sent warnings or messages where they committed the violations. But then naisip ko lang, kaya din siguro hindi nagsesend ng ganun ang Moderators is because theyre encouraging members to be more wary of the messages they post here in the forum, which is tama naman, kesa yung manghihingi pa ng messages from moderators para "sawayin" sila.

After being reprimanded, I guess I've already learned my lesson and was trying to avoid things against GT policies. I appreciated when mods warned me about my violations and been so meticulous now in posting my comments. I don't remember further violating another policy to get this WATCHED status. Call me dumb, but really at first, I thought it's only an extension of the given retribution.

I'm not actually complaining, what I'm trying to imply is that, why I didn't receive any warning before my status eventually changed to being watched? I understand what sis babyjap mean, about us to be more cautious of what we are posting here. But I guess IMO, nobody is perfect, sometimes were not that cognizant to our action.

^ Sana nga nabigyan ka muna ng warning message. Just to be fair, right?

About 2 weeks ago, I was hurrying myself because I have to go someplace else and while waiting for my sundo, I was browsing GT pa muna. Then one intresting topic got my attention and I wanted to post my experience sana. Instead, I wrote "pa-subscribe muna. later nako mag post ng experience ko" something to this effect (you know how hard to look for a particular topic esp. pag nasa sub-topic pa sya) then I logged out.

The following day, I have a PM na from the moderators. Warning. Padding of posts daw. Aba, syempre nakalimutan ko na yung ginawa ko kahapon (the reason why I have to post something so I won't forget that I have utang pa about that experience i will share.. hate this memory!) :-\

Oh well, point taken. No reasons at all. I shouldn't have posted that. I've moved on. No watched, moderated, muted of some sort under my handle. Lucky me. Pero sana talaga, nagpadala muna sila ng message kay sis MAYE2K. IMO. :)

I still think the post/s that merit the warning should be indicated in the warning sent.

The subscribing issue is clear, as well as the PMs.  But not everything is clear cut.  So in the interest of being fair, and hahahahaha ... to get that feeling of certainty that the FN Mods really did assess the ground/s for the warning (at hindi lang como may post-er or T/S that got pikon with a post, and complained).

hay ako eto being "watched" na rin,i feel so ashamed tuloy, feeling ko may ginawa ako malaking kasalanan dito, hindi ko maintindihan kung bakit, hindi nga ako nag p-pm eh,tapos yung pag post ko ng mga messages sa mga threads eh super dalang  lang,I've never recall na nakipag argue/away din ako dito, maayos din naman yung pag type ko,kaya hindi pwedeng reason yung textspeak, buti nabigyan ako ng tips nung mga sissies natin sa kabilang thread kung ano yung possible na reason, mahilig lang akong magbasa ng mga ibat-ibang threads and topics dito sa gt,kaya every time na mag log in ako, more on reading lang talaga ako, tapos once na may nagustuhan akong thread na gustong gusto ko subaybayan at basahin,i post messages dun sa mga thread na yun which is "pa join" or "subscribing" lang, para malaman ko yung mga new updates sana,at hindi na ako mahirapan pa mag hanap,eh bawal pala yun, sabi nung mga sissies natin na nag bigay ng tips sakin sa kabilang thread, kaya feel ko yun yung naging rason kaya ako being watched tuloy :( anyway,it's my fault, dapat nag basa muna ako ng rules and regulations dito, parang feeling ko kasi napaka babaw naman kung yun lang yung rason tapos being watched na,but what can we do,we need to follow the rules

^ no offense meant sis, pero i think hindi "mababaw" coz malaking violation rin naman kasi yung pagpopost ng attendance messages just for the user to keep track of whats happening sa thread, isipin mo nalang if lahat gagawa ng ganun sa thread, ilang pages mauubos na walang saysay diba? pano naman those members na masipag magbackread? sila naman kawawa kaka-scan ng threads na puro attendance post lang naman pala ang nakalagay.

Simple lang naman kasi ang rule eh, publish posts that are relevant to the topic, any off topic posts will be deleted and members that violate such rules will be dealt with accordingly.
