^^naitry ko 1st time mga 4-5 yrs ago sa promenade GH d ko rin nagustuhan. 2nd time itong sa fort branch talagang d masarap.

^shredded ginger nga ata yun. Available din naman sa Shi Lin yun but soy sauce and vinegar lang available for dipping. Sa Lugang kasi color brown, mas masarap sa soy sauce and vinegar. Hindi ko talaga alam, mahina ako sa pag-identify ng ingredients e. Kain lang kasi ako ng kain. Haha!

first XLB ko from Shi Lin, i didn't like it. now after a few years sinubukan ko ulit, i still didn't like it. yung first time ko naman too much ginger ang complain ko, ngayon naman maasim yung pork nila kanina. nabubutas rin yung wrapper chaka masyadong malagkit, dumidikit sa chopsticks. hindi ko alam kung nagiba sila ng standard operating procedures, pero kanina nagbigay naman sila ng ginger.

so far pinagusto kong XLB in manila is Lugang.

edit (sept 6): we went to Shi Lin again, this time sa Powerplant. yung last time sa Podium, i forgot to mention na pinkish yung meat nila loob. anyway, matino naman yung XLB nila sa rockwell, so sinabi na lang namin sa kanila yung experience sa other branch. obviously, mukhang may mali talaga doon sa nakain namin before, ewan ko bakit hindi sila consistent sa luto.

same here. i had my first xiao long bao in Shi Lin (BGC), i didn't like it.

went to Shanghai and had xiao long bao - omg, now i know why everyone's raving it. ang sarap na ang mura pa! 1yuan per piece. thats around P7.50 each lang.

^ Sis, hindi ako nasarapan masyado sa XLB of Lugang Café at SM Aura. May kulang sa taste. Agree with DTF. But next time you're in SG, try the XLB of Paradise Dynasty. Mas masarap!

we ate at Din Tai Fung in HK and my in laws ordered one order of xiao long bao for each person at the table! That was like 8 orders. The chef came out to clarify with them as he couldn't believe that many orders at a single table hahahaha

My daughter loves the XLB at Lugang. She can finish an entire order on her own, but doesn't eat the wrapper. Soup and filling only.

on our 1st day in SG, dito kami nag dinner. sa may raffles ata. di kami nasarapan sa XLB. then nagkita kami ng pinsan ko after 2 days dito kami uli nag dinner sa may orchard naman, nasarapan kami sa XLB nila. mas gusto pa namin sa shilin at lugang cafe

Shi Lin (Podium) is the best one for me so far

while yun sa Taguig branch nila not that really good.

Lugang is also good

as well as King Chef. di man siya ma-soup sobrang malasa naman. nakaka-ubos kami ni bf ng maximum of 8 orders with 3 XLBs per order. hehe. kilala na kami sa King Chef dahil dun

Din Tai Fung is also gooood

Maraming may ayaw sa Shilin but I like it, sa Shilin ATC okay sya fave ko na nga eh. Kesa sa PF Changs iba lasa. I havent tried Lugang though.

I've tried eating this at Choi Palace and sa Mongkok. Sarap! parang may surprise pag kinakain mo. I had a friend who ate this in Shanghai and sabi niya since di nya alam na may soup, kinain nya agad ng mainit and napaso sya pero dahil masarap di nya mailuwa. LOL!

The best xiao long bao for me is in Yu Yuan Shanghai 😍

Close to it is Suzhou in Greenhills or Mandaluyong. The rest ok lang nothing noteworthy.
