Dumplings, Xiao Long Bao

i tried lugang and I got disappointed. Their XLB is not that good. I thought they are comparable to Crystal Jade. Well, but their other dishes are so-so.

For me, still Crystal Jade, in HK the best is Din Tai Fung Truffle XLB.

In hk and sg, i love the xiao long pao of crystal jade and din tai fung. Here in manila, ok na ako sa shi lin and lugang.

sa Lugang Cafe, XLB lang ata ang nagustuhan ko the rest so-so na typical chinese food ang lasa...

The best XLB for me is Din Tai Fung in Taiwan. Wala siyang kapantay, promise. Dito naman sa Manila
Crystal Jade is okay. Pero not as yummy as Din Tain Fung.

Last na nakain ko sa gloria maris, i hate it, not the xiao long bao, but the service. Pati food damay tuloy.
Kahit ano gawin ng restau na yon, kulang talaga sa service orientation mga waiter.

OMG! I love Xiao Long Bao! I only tried Lugang's and I love it!  Yung iba here sabi mas ok sa Shi Lin than Lugang so I need to try it soon! *excited*  I need to visit Suzhou too either in Mabini or Mandaluyong.  I read in Awesome Planet just now that they sell frozen XLB! Yay!

1st time namin mag XLB sa shilin, nasarapan kami ni bf at nagsisi kami bat hindi namin sya tinikman nung nag Din Tai Fung kami! di bale babalik kami don

^try mo yung shrimp and pork shao mai nila. hindi ko nagustuhan mas gusto ko XLB.

^ di ko rin nagustuhan yung siomai nila, ordered it once and never again, always order xiao long pao lang. Yung ibang veggie dumpling nila di rin masarap.

^^hindi kasi ako nasasarapan sa shi lin pero mas masarap naman ang shilin xlb kumpara sa suzhou. Try mo na rin sis ang double boiled beef noodles. Mas nagustuhan ko kaysa sa braised beef noodles nila parang sobrang alat na ewan nun soup.

^^ ako rin, di ko rin nagustuhan yung braised beef noodles, mas nasarapan ako sa double boiled beef, kaya ever since ito na yung default noodles na ino-order ko doon.


^ yes, parang may stump siya tapos doon naka lagay yung shrimp, also matigas yung part na yun for me kaya tinatangal ko na lang.

^ yes na try ko before suzhou (manila branch) ok pa yung dumplings nila before, matagal na yun before pa nag karoon ng crystal jade dito, but last na try ko sobrang iba na talaga di na nga siya masarap unlike before.

Didn't like Shi Lin XLB, mabilis masira wrapper and wala sila nung sawsawan like Lugang (soy sauce ang vinegar lang) but masarap naman hindi lang masaya kainin.  So far, Lugang pa din ako.  Soon, Suzhou or Crystal Jade!
