Dumplings, Xiao Long Bao

For dumplings and dimsum (and Chinese food, in general), I highly recommend Causeway Seafood Restaurant.

^ agree with you, I love Causeway too! We also like North Park, L-u-k Foo and Superbowl of China. We usually just order siomai, wantons or prawn dumplings and we like it steamed.

I used to order dimsum from Shanghai Bistro in Paseo Center... not sure though if they are still open til now.

I'm curious to try the dumplings at Crystal Jade in Greenhills. I passed by the resto kanina and saw the cooks, through the glass store window, pulling noodles by hand. Sayang I had just eaten eh.

xlb in lugang ok din daw but i havent tried it yet

I've tried the Xiao Long Bao at Gloria Maris in Greenhills years ago and masarap and marami for the price. Di pa gaanong sikat XLB nun kaya tuwang tuwa ako na for P95, 8-10 pieces ata yung sinerve nila. Nasanay siguro ako sa mga dumplings na tig 4 or 5 per serving lang. Hehe Masarap din sa Crystal Jade and sa Suzhou. Pero the best Xiao Long Bao that I've tried is from Din Tai Fung in Hong Kong. No wonder may Michelin Star sila. Pati yung ibang dimsum nila OA sa sarap. Lalo na yung Chicken Feet. (OT Sorry. Haha) Shet. Natakam naman ako sa thread na to! Ayoko na nga magsalita. Haha

haven't tried Din Tai Fung sa Hk, sayang next time matry nga. Yup masarap din [textspeak!] Su Zhuo before Crystal Jade, Su Zhou talaga yung sikat.

Haba ng pila palagi sa Lu Gang eh pero matry din one time.

^ I had Xiao Long Bao at Din Tai Fung in SG last weekend.  Masarap nga!  Pero mas nagustuhan ko yung prok and shrimp dumpling nila and the spicy dumpling.

Pero mas masarap ang Xiao long bao sa Crystal Jade in Hong Kong.  I haven't tried DTF in HK though kaya hindi ko ma-compare.

i like dumplings of DEC. for xiao long bao, only tried shi lin and lugang's. shi lin's better.

Marami na ko na-try, Gloria Maris GH, Mey Lin, Causeway, etc... pero pinaka-masarap pa rin yung Crystal Jade sa GH.

Uy xiao long bao lover here too. Tried Din Tai Fung na in Taipei... But discovered a place na 1/3 the price but kasing Sarap at a hole in the wall place in Taichung!

Siomai, sharks fin, hakaw. Chicken feet ok lang. Xiao long bao di ko pa na try. Last week kumain kami sa causeway near our place pero di na ko nag try ng xlb kasi ive read na wala daw soup yung xlb nila.

locally, lugang cafe not so good for me, shi lin has better XLB
