We usually book with Agoda, but now I'm thinking of converting to Asiatravel.

tanong lang mga sis, sa asiatravel.com you have 2 modes of payment sa hotels di ba. one is Prepay and the other is Pay at Hotel. kapag Prepay ba yung option dun sa hotel na napili mo, ano ba yun, would you just pay a certain percent or a fraction of the total amount to be paid sa time ng booking mo, then the rest, you will pay it na lang upon check-in or check-out? or you will pay as in the whole amount na pag nagpabook ka?

yung sa Pay at Hotel naman sinasabi kasi dun na parang guarantee lang nila kaya kinukuha yung credit card details pero hindi pa actually ichacharge sa CC yung total amount. babayaran lang yun, when you arrive na sa hotel or upon check-out din yata. tama po ba?

i called astoria hotel and pag nagdirect booking ako dun, the 2-BR would cost 7K++.
when i called asia travel, it's only 5K++.
so, cheaper to book thru asiatravel kesa direct with the hotel. i asked why, [textspeak!] nung asiatravel, they have special agreement with the hotel, sa ads etc kaya cheaper rates.
wala kayang hidden charges na babayaran pa sa hotel talaga if i book thru asia travel??

hi i tried booking with this site, www.jnjtravelphilippines.com I booked with them twice na, first is when we went to Boracay and the second was when we had our honeymoon in Palawan.  And I never had any problems with them. Before I booked I also checked their rates if mas lower nga sa hotels. And yes, mas mababa nga ang rates I got from them compared when I booked directly with the hotel. You can try to book with them. Next year, we are planning to book again for our bohol accommodation. They already have rates for March summer. I just requested for the bohol packages and they'll email it to you the list of bohol resorts and packages immediately.

from my experience agoda is the cheapest. You might also want to try hotelclub. Asiatravel has an office here in Manila

I checked agoda rates, kaso US Dollars sila..hindi ba malaki ang exchange rate pag USD..tas pag nagpay ako ng USD using mg cc edi mataas dn [textspeak!] babayaran ko sa bank.. I also checked asiatravel..im quite confused, nakalagay sa room price in Bayview is Php 4208 a night but when Im going to pay na naging Php 5,158.65 na [textspeak!] babayaran ko sa credit card. So may hidden charges sha.

I’ve been using hotelscombined.com for a couple years and now find it difficult to book hotels without it. Clean and simple - love the price comparison idea. One suggestion, please make it easier to look for rooms suitable for families and kids.

If the hotel stay is in the Phil. I call the hotel and give them my card details. It's cheaper that way since ang agoda prices are relatively higher dahil hindi sya "local residents rate" yun mali ko dati. Sa katuwaan ko sa agoda, I booked our Marriott stay thru agoda. lol

Do a mock booking thru the suggested websites and try calling the hotel too para ma-check san mas magiging Ok.

Previous travel sa booking.com ako nagbook, try niyo lang din i google muna yung gusto niyo hotel and contact them directly, minsan kc mas mura pag direct. Pero may instances naman na minsan mas ok sa booking.com kesa direct

We always book through Agoda except for out of town trips. Agoda always has nice rates.

Agoda is my bet if it's International travel, pero pag local very comparable ang price to book directly with the hotel. The only advantage lang minsan with Agoda local booking is that the type of room available with them  when you call the Hotel sometimes it wont be avble with same type room and price, sabihin nila wala na.

sasha014: There's an option in Agoda's website to change the currency from USD to Php. And yes, AFAIK, the rates they have on their website do not include taxes and other fees pa. I still prefer booking directly with the hotel. Never tried a third-party site. From experience, there's no difference in rates between the two.

Agoda has cheaper rates but some hotels are not offering airport transfer.
