Tips and suggestions on where to stay in Hongkong

Yup super ganda nga ng bp international hotel. Expensive nga lang. Now naman we are planning to go back this december. Kaso mga sis super mahal na ng flights now going to hk. May alam ba kayo na travel agency na nagooffer ng cheap airfare sa hk?  We are planning to diy lang yung landtour

Lanson Place Hotel. It's also close to malls, but it's more on a hotel for couples.

hi sis diyan kami nag stay ni hubby nung honeymoon namin. Okay naman sya, maliit na hotel
pero malinis naman. Super liit nga lang ng room namin as in pagbukas ng pinto nagulat kami kasi
isang hakbang kama na kaagad  . May tv naman, shower, and everyhing you need lika soaps,
shampoos, shower caps, small and at towels, bedroom slippers, coffee, tea, tea pot, rug, and of course
bed with pillows and kumot.
We stayed there for 3 nights and 2 days, and in fairness, tuwing papasok kami sa room, bagong palit
lahat ng bedsheets, pillow cases, towels kahit inayos pa namin at hindi nilagay sa floor.
Staffs and crews are polite kahit kausap namin sila magalang pa rin sila with their broken english 

Ang pinaka nagustuhan ko ay yung every breakfast ay buffet. Masarap ang food nila at maraming
pagpipilian, ang mga kinuha ko lagi : potato wedges, french fries, hotdog, rice, soup, pork dumplings,
hahah sorry dinescribe ko na lahat :-) Natuwa lang talaga ako :-)

Sis, pwede kaya sneak in 1 adult? Mapapansin ba?

I need help.

We're planning to go next year sa Hongkong kasi debut ng sis ko, debut ko din tapos 25th anniversary ng parents ko. 3 or 4 days kami doon if ever.

Mas makakamura ba kami if magtratravel agency o sariling punta na lang doon?

If may recommendations kayo para makamura kami, i'd appreciate that. Thanks

Mag sarili na lang kayo. Mas cheaper and hawak niyo ang time niyo. Hindi naman mahirap libutin ang Hongkong.

As for accommodations, if hindi naman kayo particular sa space better to stay in a hostel since makakatipid kayo.

Langham place mongkok. But if budget is an issue, hmm... i cannot recommend anything. Naliliitan talaga ako sa hotels in hk so i just spend more on hotels. I regret staying at Ibis Northpoint. Sobrang sikip. Payat na ko niyan. Paano pa sa mga tamang frame or large frame di ba.

If you are a family, better to get a hotel. no prob with sneak ins. wag lang kayo sabay sabay papasok.

You can check out Holiday Inn Golden Mile. Not really connected, you still have to go up to street level, but short walk lang to/from MTR station.

shukranhabibi1219, ang natry ko lang sa TST area ay Imperial Hotel and Marco Polo HK. You can check the rates from agoda website. The room that I got at Imperial Hotel was good for 1 person kaya talagang ang liit ng room. But I think they have bigger rooms na good for 4. But to be sure, book a room at Marco Polo dahil spacious talaga ang rooms nila. BP International (Austin Road, Jordan MTR) is just parallel to Nathan Road (TST MTR). Pero quite a walk ang BP International towards Jordan MTR. You can also try checking the hotel locations via google maps. Naka mark naman doon sa map (in green) ang MTR stations.

Hotels in TST near MTR:

Hotel Benito, Holiday Inn Golden Mile.

If bandang Jordan area naman, Shamrock Hotel o kaya BP International Hotel.

We stayed in Golden Crown in TST. The hostel is relatively cheap but very small ang room. Though clean naman, naging okay na rin sa amin because of the location. Maraming stores and restaurants around that area plus ang lapit sa MTR as in konting lakad lang nasa MTR station ka na.

For those inquiring if they would take a package tour and a do-it-yourself tour (DIY), I would suggest to do the DIY because of the following:
- package tours are waste of time and money. They will be bringing you to useless places like jewelry store, chocolate shop, and others na walang kuwenta. Hindi kasama sa tour ang Ngong Ping cable car, Madam Tussauds, the peak, nanlian gardens - so if you want to go to these places, you have to do it on your own and at your own account
- the package tour consists of city tour and disneyland for 1 day only so that means you will be left enjoying disneyland for half day only.
- the package tour meron pa additional fees for the tourguide
- then sa package tour na mura sa pagkakaalam ko yung hotel accommodation nila sobra layo sa TST. If you want sa TST area, prepare to pay a higher price.

Sa mga gagawa ng DIY, huwag kayo matakot mawala. Actually, hindi nga kayo mawawala just follow lang directions especially sa MTR. Get maps in the airport and study it. Dont worry about food or breakfast especially if you choose hostels without breakfast kasi mcdo/yoshinoya/kfc is almost everywhere. I suggest pag lunch and dinner try authentic chinese restaurants around the area.

Im not sure kung sale season pa ngayun sa HongKong but when I was there last month, super sale! Try to visit outlet stores in citygate mall in Tung Chung and gateway mall.

I was just in HK last week and I think I will stay in Marco Polo Gateway na on all my trips.  Great location, spacious rooms, great service.  A bit pricey, but if you're 3 in a room, sulit na.  The convenience of having the Harbor City mall one elevator ride away is just priceless.

I highly recommend Golden Crown Guesthouse in TST. Onting lakad lang MTR na

^ if you want more space and perhaps a kitchen where you can prepare food/breakfast, go for an apartment. Super small ang space sa guesthouses like GC, Yiu Fai, etc.. But if you're fine with small spaces, and prefer na mas malapit sa MTR, then GC/YiuFai.
