^Proceed with caution. Baka mabagyo ang August. The Samar region is located in the eastern Visayas region na dinadaanan ng bagyo. The boat ride going to Biri is medyo maalon (ano ba correct English translation? hehe). Medyo scary na kapag lumakas ang alon pa. We were there March last year. It was sunny and rainy. It rained in the afternoon but it stops naman.

hello mga sis. im from San jose northern samar. maganda talaga jan sa biri. lalo na yung mga rock formation. pero siyempre ingat lang din kasi marami engkanto jan. wag na lang din magkalat or what. basta enjoy lang. maraming magagadang lugar sa Samar na hindi pa nadedevelop.

hindi ko naman kayo tinatakot sis sinasabe ko lang yung totoo, mamaya pagpunta niyo dun niyo lang madiscover. punta kau jan ng hindi maalon na season. pero maganda talaga jan sa biri. worth it.

^Meaning totoo yung engkanto?  Hindi ako naniniwala diyan.

Dahil kung totoo yung engkanto, dapat pinarusahan nila yung mga hinayupak na nagva-vandalize doon sa rock formations.

I couldn't find anything about Samar, so I started a new topic.

My husband and I will be attending a wedding in Guiuan at the Our Lady of Immaculate Concepcion Church in late September.

We'll be arriving on the morning of the wedding and I want to find a hotel that's near the church na. Baka kasi maligaw pa kami. Hehe! The day after the wedding, I'm planning on booking us for an overnight stay at the Calicoan Surf Camp. Ayoko dun kaagad mag-check in kasi from my understanding, mejo malayo sya from town?

Would appreciate your help and input mga sis!

They built a concrete walkway leading to Magasang and Magsapad rock formations in Biri.  *facepalm

^^Katoinks naman yan!  One of my fondest Biri Memories is walking towards those rock formations - while holding my dress above my knees, treading the waters and taking pics of the wonderful scenery without splashing my camera. Upon reaching the rock formation, sunog na kami. 

Nakaksira nga yung ng natural beauty. I love the "ruggedness" of Biri Island pa naman.

Hi sis! I dont know if this will still help or maybe Im too late na.. Just went to Guiuan Samar last Wednesday. Was able to visit Immaculate Conception Church and nakita ko yung Hotel Khaishra. Walking distance lang siya from the church..

Finally! Off to Biri this coming Wednesday. Hopefully, weather will cooperate. Can't wait to see the rock formations! Umpisahan na ang Sundance!

went to Tacloban/Samar last feb. the itineraries are Basey > Guiuan > Calicoan. this is my 2nd time sa Basey since yung first attempt namin last august eh umulan hinde kami pinayagan pumasok sa Sohoton. Basey has so much to offer, ok sya kase virgin na virgin pa yung lugar pero malungkot kase walang kinikita ang bayan nila....ang laki ng potential ng Basey, mas maganda pa sya sa ibang lugar na napuntahan ko. ang ganda ng mga caves.

Ako din I went to Tacloban/Samar last year but Guiuan lang ng Samar ang talagang napuntahan ko. Went to the beach within Salcedo yung meron natural pool

hi sis. wala na talaga. they cancelled my flight to catarman last year. was given the option to fly to tacloban instead. ayoko naman kasi layo din pala.. sayang nga eh. excited pa naman ako sa biri.

Biri Rock Formations are truly amazing. Surreal! Parang wala na ako sa Pinas.
