If you're a foodie, chances are, you've been to some of the best fine dining restaurants. Please share your experience.

Yung Sala in Makati not bad yung food nila. I haven't been there in months kaya di ko maalaala yung exact order ko the last time I was there. I think it was a seafood dish though.

I have some memorable memories from the following fine dining restaurants here in manila. My parents especially my dad usually treats me during birthdays or special occasion. Some of the places my parents used to bring me are still present, while others are closed already

1. Champagne Room in Manila Hotel - love it here beside the fact that you need to wear formal attire (as in coat and tie or barong for male), food is really great, beautiful ambiance plus you can request songs then they will play it for you through piano, violin, guitar etc. Truly a very romantic place.

2. Abelardos in Philippine Plaza - this one is closed already. But they have the best steaks.

3. Prince Albert in Intercontinental manila - not too fine dining, but also a memorable place.

Do we still have these kind of fine dining places nowadays? Please share your experiences... Thanks

I've eaten at Antonio's in Tagaytay. The food's not bad. There was this dish that we had to pre-order a day in advance. It's been more than three years since I've eaten there kaya I can't remember what we ordered.

^ sis Joy, disappointed na ako sa Prince Albert's ngayon.  Had dinner there before xmas. Parang hindi na ganon ka fresh entries nila.  Soup served wasn't so hot narin... Staff nila though as usual very friendly parin... But for the price I think mas marami na ngayon better na fine dining restos..

Sa pinas..I don't remember ever been into a fine dining restaurant. But here in Dubai kasi parang mas affordable plus back then I have discounted rates sa mga resto ng Jumeirah Group.. anyways, I've been to the following:

Pierchic, Pisces and Zheng He's all at Madinat Jumeirah
Marina Seafood Restaurant at Jumeirah Beach Hotel
Vu's Restaurant at Jumeirah Emirates Towers

Great experiences and fantastic Places...yung iba kasi puro casual dining lang ang category nila..

Hoping to dine in the prestigious Burj Al Arab soon!

Sa pinas ba magkano ang price range ng mga entrees sa fine dining restaurant?  Really nakakahiya man aminin, I haven't tried and never even went to look at the menus hahahaha! Kasi when I go for vacation, lutong bahay ang habol ko or di kaya yung mga comfort foods na namiss ko kasi wala dito or kung meron man d pa rin same ang lasa.

^I like Aubergine naman sis. I've been there thrice pa lang and it never disappointed me. The chef pa is so nice.

I also like Old Manila (havent been there in a long time!) and Paparazzi.

Ako din di ko masyado nagustuhan yung Aubergine pero mga 2 years na since di ako bumalik. Baka better na food nila ngayon.

I'd pick Aubergine over Prince Albert Rotisserie.

I had duck confit and foie gras at Aubergine, and they were superb.

On the other hand, I tried Prince Albert's much touted prime rib, and was disappointed. The meat wasn't as tender or tasty as I'd hoped, and the Yorkshire pudding they served was cold and stale. For something as simple to make as Yorkshire pudding, and the price I'm paying, that was pretty unacceptable that they made the puddings in advance. I've had much better prime rib and Yorkshire pudding elsewhere at a fraction of the cost. The service was excellent, though; I'll give them that.

^ Oh, I am not the only one who was disappointed by Prince Albert, thank goodness.  When we dined there last month, the prime rib had a slightly gamey taste ("maanggo" in Tagalog).  I also noticed the same thing about the Yorkshire pudding, which hubby and I did not attempt to eat after one bite.   But I liked the Caesar salad.  Needless to say, I won't be going back soon.

To be honest, I was more satisfied with Zucchini's at the Scout area in QC.

Elbert's Steak House for me! Really it's one of Manila best kept restaurant...Steak was pperfect...good quality talaga...

True, one of the best kept restaurants nga ang Elbert's Steak House. Pricey lang as usual. Cru Steakhouse to me is good, pero hindi gaanu pasado sa asawa kong steak lover and well-travelled, hehe.

Ok din ang Paparazzi and L'incontro if you're into Italian cuisine. Aubergine is love, esp their wine selections.

I'm also a fan of the hole-in-the-wall types. Good places for me are In-yo (changed name into Ninyo) and Lemuria.

Among the local restaurants I tried, iba pa rin ang Antonio's. I guess the ambience and the charm of Tagaytay make it the top choice for me for fine dining.

Masarap nga sa Antonios and nice yung ambiance kaya lang malayo. Try nyo din po sa Lolo Dads sa may Manila yata yun, maliit lang yung place and only few people could dine kaya medjo private. We ate there one time, kami lang yung tao, its as if we rented the whole resto. Isa sa mga chef nila yung nag create ng isa sa ice cream ng selecta gold creation (yata 'yun).

HOSSEINS PERSIAN KEBAB SUPER SARAP !!!! worth it yung price kasi maganda na nga yung place maganda pa yung ambiance para kang nasa ibang lugar!
