Laptop or desktop?

is it wiser to buy a laptop or a desktop?

sis it depends on how your needs and how you'll use it.
if you have to work with computer regularly and conveniently bring it anywhere, and if you'll use it alone, then go for laptop.
pero kung marami ka ka-share like it's for the whole family and there's no need for you to bring it naman, then go for desktop.

Kung low budget ka go for Desktop. Mas okay saka if you like to upgrade parts in the future mas madali and less expensive.

If you're someone na laging "On the Go" at kelangan lagi ng PC, then go for laptop. Make sure na magandang brand ang bilin saka matibay kasi mas expensive ang parts ng laptop and di rin ganun kadali mag upgrade.

Make sure to read reviews and forums na rin about sa brand na bibilin mo, Desktop man or Laptop.

can you recommend any brand for the laptop.. I already have a msi wind notebook and im planning to sell it to buy either a laptop or desktop..

if my bf would answer this he would say laptop. because he wanted to bring it anywhere. and mas handy. personally, i'd go for a desktop. i have a lappie din pero yun nga katulad ng sinabi ni miss_sissy, mas mahal ang upgrading. and hindi siya convenient for me. pag lappie kase, mahirap palitan pag nasira isang part kase magkakasama sila sa loob. sa desktop, you can change each and every part.

I agree to most of our sis here that it really depends on your needs and lifestyle. You need to consider if you will just use it for going online, for studying or for work din. If you are always on the go, then it's best to get a laptop. Research on the specs para makuha mo yung tama based sa requirements mo. If paminsan minsan lang naman, then set a budget for desktop. The good thing about getting a desktop is that you can get a basic unit muna tapos eventually, you can upgrade it. Actually, I think mas budget friendly ang desktop.

actually, kundi lang ako madalas mag-travel, mas pipiliin ko talga is desktop. why? hindi madali manakaw. tapos laptop madaling uminit yung keyboad nya, nakakapasma sa kamay at nakaka-paso. desktop is more affordable and easier to upgrade.

depende kung san mo gagamitin sis at magkano budget mo. kung lagi ka nagtatravel pero kulang budget, you can go for an atom(?) ba yun? parang simplified laptop ata yun (hindi sure eh no? haha), pero kung sa bahay lang, eh di desktop. madali kasi ma-phase out ang laptop eh.

HP and Fujitsu are good brands. I have been using HP for the longest time and I'm happy naman sa perf. nya =)

mas comfortable ako sa desktop pero i'm planning to buy a netbook pa rin. minsan kasi kung gusto ko na gamitin ang desktop hindi pwede kasi gamit pa ng brother ko.

I'm no techie so I don't really know how to upgrade electronics such as the desktop.  My cousin prefers desktop kasi daw he could upgrade the processors and memory etc.  and he couldn't do that to a laptop that easily.  But in my case, I don't have that much information to store and doesn't play those memory-consuming games.  Kaya I'm happy with the laptop.  Very convenient din.

i prefer laptop because it's quite convenient and you can bring it anywhere. Im using Apple  MacBook.
