Hi sis! who's your tmj specialist? I was supposed to have my braces na dapat pero napansin ko for the last 2 months, twice na sumakit ang jaw line ko and laging nag c-click yung jaw ko lalo na if i just woke up. Since may TMJ pa pala ako, doble gastos!

Update lang sa case ko. Ang laking tulong ng appliance. Mag-one month ko na syang suot this May 12 and pag nagtoothbrush ako, di na nagkiclick yung jaw ko at kahit pinipilit kong hanapin yung pagclick di ko na mahanap sang part. Dati kasi pagnagbubrush ng teeth, onting open ng mouth, different movements, obvious yung clicking sound.

Pero may downside. Since nasanay na ako sa appliance, di ako nakakatagal kahit isang oras na di sya suot. One time, di ko sya agad nasuot kasi walang accessible na restroom para makapagtoothbrush ako. Pakiramdam ko sobrang ngalay ng panga ko at parang may ringing sound sa tenga ko. Mejo dependent ako sa appliance ngayon. Sabi ng ortho ko, after 2 months, ibang phase na at tatanggalin na appliance. Baka magbraces na ako nun. Worried ko is, baka maexperience ko na naman ganitong feeling? Syempre ayoko naman may brances at splint at the same time like yung mga pics online na nakikita ko...

Been suffering with this for a while now. Was diagnosed by an ENT doctor. I only noticed it when I worked in a call center. Anyway, it's rarely painful but I do hear the clicking sound and I feel na hindi pantay ang jaw ko at dapat ko pang itama and I can't really bite into foods that hard because feeling ko sasakit sya.
How much po ba ang treatment and what are your clinic hours and where is the clinic? @ claudz03

went to a tmj specialist kanina. nag pa x-ray na ako. nakita na dun hindi na pantay [textspeak!] lower jaw ko. tmj splint cost for 45k. 50% dp and then 6mos therapy and balance payable in 6mos.
i hope lang talaga gumaling na to super duper sakit talaga na feel ko ngayon sa left jaw ko. hirap pa ako maka sleep. hirap mag eat.

I visited a dental clinic inside SM San Lazaro, TMJ appliance is only 25k, 6 months treatment. Sana may honest na TMJ specialist kasi minsan sasabihin ko lang nag c-click jaw ko then sasabihin sa akin, "automatic na TMJ na yan" then they will tell you to buy their TMJ appliance. 

By the way, mine isnt that bad for now, i just feel it clicking once in a while but no pain or whatsoever but dont want to ignore it either.

no 1 don't is eating chewing gum. or anything that is hard and will stress your tmj.

actually, if you have clicking, even on and off, it's a sign that you have a TMJ dysfunction, kasi normal TMJ don't click.. BAKA di pa sya malala but, are you going to wait na lumala sya ?
Aside from clicking, do you have any other symptoms? like headache, neck pain, back pain, etc??? back read.. nag post ako before about the signs and symptoms of tmj dysfunction.
 
diagnostic xray will tell if you really have a tmj dysfunction. look for a specialist in your area.

25k? mura pa la yung sayo sis, sa akin 45k . i started wearing my splint na. hindi naman nag click [textspeak!] jaw ko. but yung sa face ko affected na because of bad bite.nakita din sa x-ray ko hindi na pantay yung lower jaw ko.
hoping na gumaling talaga to kasi ang mahal pa tapos hindi gagaling naku... tabingi na face ko.hindi na pantay.

Eventually macocorrect na ang bite mo and you'll be able to live without the splint. This only shows na the splint positioned your jaw in a proper place:)

May naexperience din ako sa mga patient na bumalik ang tmj after braces but this only means you need to increase the height, kya usually ino-over correct para di bumalik. Dnt worry, A TMJ specialist will know what to do..
