Mga sis, saan ba okey mamili ng outfit pang-badminton? Nagsasawa na ako sa mga outfit ko eh. Mga nalibot kong stores (Toby's, Olympic Village, Nike, Adidas) puro luma na mga designs. Yun mga cute sana na attire para maski sa porma man lang mukha akong magaling. Lol!

Natawa din ako dito  Sorry sis but not to offend you ha but the first thing we look at kung meron kaming di kilalang makakalaro is gaano kagasgas yung sapatos and ordinary-looking yung outfit. The more porma-looking, most often than not mga newbie players. Excited maglaro kailangan bago lahat hehe...

^It's okey sis, I'm not offended at all. More than 10 years na ko naglalaro ng badminton. At ngayon ko pa lang natripan pumorma. Haha! Nananawa na kasi ako. Gaganda kasi itsura ng suot nung mga nasa tennis open di ba? Parang ganun sana. Kaso wala akong mahanap sa mga stores. Sa Ebay meron pero international naman.. alam mo naman mga post office sa tin, puro corrupt mga tao (based sa mga encounters ko with them.. sobrang consistent na mas mahal pa hinihinging tax kesa sa presyo nung padala. Grr)

^You're not a newbie then!    Back in high school I used to wear cotton shirts/running shorts plus my trusty Dragonflys (meron pa ba nito?) Then nauso naman si Dri-Fit (dami sa Greenhills). I still wear Dri-Fit shirts/tank tops but I've been wearing skirts lately (the nice ones I get from Athleta). I've bought some nice cotton semi dri-fit tops at SM. But you're right mas madami choices sa labas specially in the US. Kaya naman mega-hoard ako every time I go visit family there.

Come to think of it, I haven't bought any supplies i.e. raquets, grips, shuttlecocks here in Manila kasi mahal. All our racquets we got in HongKong, Bangkok, Singapore and a couple from Japan. Then yung mga bola, grips and strings mostly we get from Bangkok. Buy from the stores at the side of the National Stadium in case you get to go there tapos buy in bulk para wholesale price.

Uy mama squeak! thank you for the Athletica suggestion, will try to go there this weekend (agad agad? haha) Gusto ko din skirts talaga. Mas madali kasi mag-move pag walang nakaharang sa legs. Hehe. Tagal na ko naglalaro pero di pa din ako magaling. Haha!

Mabuti pala ang maporma sis, at least tingin nila newbie lang.. o di at least tataob ang expectation in case na okey naman ang laro. Hihi! (asa pa eh haha)

Wow! Nice to know this thread is still active. I want to play badminton again kase wala na akong exercise. Yung mga kalaro ko before busy na sa mga ibat-ibang bagay. I hope may mga makalaro ako dito. Baka meron dito nag join ng queing sa Q.C. area? Courts na malapit sa akin is sa Chut's or Power and Speed sa Mindanao Ave.

Sige biyahe na kung biyahe basta makapaglaro lang    short biyahe lang muna, QC, makati, manila, mandaluyong, pasig, etc in short metro manila. pa-PM naman kung meron.

this is a good bonding activity for your office colleagues, we had this badminton session with my co-IT and it was lot of fun! hopefully we can maintain a regular sched even on weekly basis lang.

at the same time also a good cross training for me since i'm training for running. funny lang when i got back to badminton, my arms totally hurt for a couple of days kahit i do workouts haha!
