I personally prefer Czarina kasi suki na ko kaya madali na magpa-reserve ng currency na kailangan ko. Pero pareho lang naman sila. If ever meron difference konti lang. Pansin ko lang laging pila sa Sanry's both Glorietta and Greenbelt branches.

I would say expect volatility in the short term. Kasi hindi pa alam ng tao ang gameplan nya completely (who will he appoint in DOF? NEDA?).

I know that BSP kept the PHP levels around 42-26 during this past 6 years (may article din about that pero tinatamad ako hanapin ngayon, hehe) because this is the "sweet spot" for the peso.

Di na pala pwede bumili ng currencies sa branches ng Czarina? Sa main na lang daw pwede bumili. Tsk. Kawawa naman kaming mga tiga-North of Manila. :-/

Nakaka-inis din BDO branch ko, USD lang daw meron sila and 5 days ang lead time nila for other currencies.

^ yung BDO branch na malapit sa min, wala daw sila Yen. Wala man lang sinabi na pwede iorder, baka depende sa branch talaga.

I change sa kabayan money exchange at their branch in Greenhills. so far naman okay ang rate and I've never had problems getting HKD or JPY...

Sis Madness, hello, thanks. Malapit lang din sa amin, Emerald. Kaso unlike Czarina, they dont issue OR. Ok na din siguro. 7 pesos ang forex, sa kanila 7.5, hayaan na. hehe

Hi, I was wondering whether I'll exchange my peso to HKD prior to my trip to HK. Or is it more economical to withdraw money from the ATM there since the bank charges only P150 (regradless of the amount withdrawn)? I have no idea what the rates of Czarina are nowadays so I'm relying on BDO's rates as posted online.

Mhi sis ^. I think it is still best to buy HKD here in the Phils. 🤗 You can call Czarina, and reserve the HKDs. Pickup sa main branch.

^souvenir na lang or wait kung kelan babalik dun sa country. Kaya pag last day na, pinambabayad namin coins sa hotel, ok lang naman sa kanila.
