^Ah!You're thinking way ahead na pala sis!Okay ah!Atleast prepared kana when the time comes. I wanted to enroll my toddler also in this school but we were late, cuz we just moved here from Australia just this past Nov. I really hope we get into MGC New Life when we apply. I've a friend who's toddler got denied twice 2 yrs in a row cuz she's not potty-trained yet. I'm real worried about applying cuz I heard a lot of parents want their kids in this school, so applying will be tough!Good luck to us!

If priority ninyo is matuto magchinese ang anak nyo, I'd say go for St. Jude talaga. Walang makakagraduate ng St. Jude ng hindi marunung ng basic conversation man lang ng Mandarin. Pagdating ng High School, most of our Chinese teachers come from Taiwan. So Hindi mo pwede kausapin ng Tagalog or English. Hindi kayo maiintindihan. So the kid would have no choice but to speak in Mandarin if he has to talk to his/her chinese teachers. Sa Prep and elementary of course more of [textspeak!]-chi ang teachers so they can translate for the students pa. Besides that, hindi rin naman pahuhuli ang SJCS sa English subjects. Namomroblema na nga ako kasi we live in Paranaque na so ang layo sa SJCS. Di ko tuloy alam san ko paaaralin ang anak ko. though I'm 8mos pregs pa lang. haha! By the way, pag kelangan nyo ng chinese tutor sa next school year, pwede ako.

^I agree sis!St. Jude is one of the best chinese schools in Manila. Even though I didn't graduate from this school, I know it's one of the best cuz I know some people who came from that school- and they're good in mandarin.

any feedback with pace academy in sgt. rivera?....im not that fluent in chinese kasi hndi kya  mahirapan anak ko dun? ...sabi mas memorization daw sa grace?so pah dun mas madali ba ang chinese lessons kesa sa pace?............

hi, ako st. jude lang ang school na gusto ko sana pasukan ng anak ko. although i didn't graduate from that school pero i know some kahit kick-out ng st. jude pag nagtransfer na sa iba school e nasa top ten pa sila. so meaning maganda standards nila. yup, and halos lahat ng graduate dun talagang magaling mag chinese. ako kasi priority ko rin matuto ng mandarin son ko kaya gusto ko [textspeak!] st. jude. kaso medyo malayo din sa house namin pero siguro tyagaan na lang. sana pumasa nga lang siya, pero malayo pa bago kami mag apply kasi 1.4 yrs. old pa lang baby ko hehe! pero now pa lang gusto ko na sana siya iprepare para pag dumating yun time for interview e pumasa sana siya. kaso wala din ako time turuan siya kasi busy sa work  bahala na

yung son ng officemate ko studies at St. Jude but whenever the kid is here I don't hear him utter any single chinese word Fukien or Mandarin as in never, English englisan lang siya. I think the kid is in grade 1 already, dun rin siya nag nursery & kinder.

My nephew & Nieces study at MGC, limited slot lang sila kaya medyo mahirap makapasok isipin niyo na lang yung mga anak ng teacher maybe some relatives pa duon rin nag-aaral kaya yung kokonting slot lalo pang kumonti 

I want my daughter to study either in MGC or ICA.

from backreading, parang gusto ko na lang sa pace ipasok ang anak ko. for next year pa naman. pero magkano ba ang tuition nila? my gulay 80k... for 1 year na ba yun? or per sem? ang hirap na talaga mabuhay ngayon. wala kasi akong makita masyado sa website nila e. sa monday tawagan ko sila if meron silang mga trial classes.

Hi! Its hard to live nowadays, parang evrything is in tight budget. You have to spend money wisely. Being a Chinese or having Chinese blood is really a necessity for us to send our kiddos to Chinese school. Ayoko na sana kasi may mga offer naman ng Mandarin class when they grow older they can learn it the easy way. Minsan iniisip ko why spend your shool days learning Chinese eh you can spend it like 6 mos. or less sa special chinese class, ganun din naman Chinese din. Yes, it's a battle of opinions with my relatives & husband...ewan ko ko ba why big deal. After all the dramas...here I am sending my child din in a Chinese school. Hope Christian High School. Ok naman Montessori approach (what really I'm looking for) di na traditional like mine way back then. Nice school cheaper than MGC, may pagka hi-tech & new High School building. Approachable teachers (on the day na interview) well, I guess this the school for my Kid.

^naku mahirap nga ma-break yan tradition. my husband is not chinese pero his family has been going into chinese schools. mas maganda daw kasi ang turo. gusto nya yung math part. sabi ko nga, gusto mo ng chinese school, di mo naman ginagamit ang chinese mo. hehe! kahit ako gusto ko matuto ng chinese kasi syempre para maturuan ko rin ang anak ko once nagschool na sya.

hi..we're looking for a better chinese school in angeles city pampanga..or any good schools you could recommend for our 3, 5 and 9 year old kids...help pls...they said faith builders is ok...any comment?

This is my dilemma. I need to send my daughter to a Chinese school (non-negotiable for my parents and in-laws) but most, if not all, the Chinese schools I know of focus too much on academics, and not even the right kind. I want a well-rounded school in terms of academics and non-academic activity. I also want the academics to focus not on memorization but developing the thought process of a child (ie. essay writing, problem solving, etc) and develops the child in such a way na they become self sufficient in their education. I do not believe in tutors. Eh with most chinese schools that have large class sizes they focus on compliance and memorization only.

I have yet to find such a school...any suggestions?
