sa mga nagreply po about philadelphia and PIQC, thanks po. Naku naguluhan na naman ako. We are planning to go there pa naman tomorrow para makapagexam na yung daughter ko who is incoming grade 1. We're from Araneta Ave., ang mga malalapit na schools sa amin na OK for us are : St. Joseph, STC, Holy Spirit, Lourdes, St. Paul QC, ,Angelicum, PIQC and Philadelphia. my daughter is only 5.5 yo. by June, yung last 3 schools lang ang tatangap sa kanya for grade 1 kahit bata pa, the rest strict sila sa age. So 3 lang ang option ko! She already passed the entrace exam in Angelicum kaya nakareserve na kami ng slot. Kaya lang due to modular method of teaching in Angelicum, dapat daw parents and kids ang nagaaral which is mahirap for working parents. With PIQC, medo mabigat din kasi yung almost 60k na tuition (naku baka mapilitan na ako dito if ever). I thought Philadelphia is OK dahil Christian school ito, so far kasi yung feedback pa lang ni sis Mai ang negative na nakuha ko. Though sa totoo lang kahit mga inlaws ko na 25 years ng nakatira sa ARaneta hindi alam na may ganito palang school sa loob ng Talayan Village.

Does this mean super hirap makapasok? Gusto ko pa naman dito for my son when he turns 4. Paano ba ang entrance exam dito?
Kailangan ba marunong siya magchinese? Hirap kasi anak ko as of now kasi puro helpers ang kasama sa bahay so more on english and tagalog siya. Ang 4 yo ba k1?

sis why wont you try Pace Academy in sgt rivera? maganda din daw dun its a chines christain school halos mga english speaking mga students dun,,,

Talaga? 2 boys din yung akin sis. yung eldest ko mag 5 yrs old sya this year. Natatakot lang ako kasi baka ma bully sya don... kasi hindi sya lumalaban kahit he's big.

Pero worth it naman ba yung tuition fee? Ok ba curriculum nila sa english at chinese? yung sa chinese class ba nila puros memorization lang at simplified chinese na din ba gamit nila?

^i wont recommend xavier kung gusto mo matutong magchinese ang anak mo. puros memorization dito. why dont you try jubilee? mukhang ok naman jubilee. and sorry pero malakas ang pambubully sa xavier. one of my mentors in diving is the grade school principal of xavier before and cya na mismo nagsabi nito.

look at the facilities naman ng neighboring schools nya i think thats the reason why the tuition is like that. ang okay sa sshs magiging well rounded yung bata. their english curriculum is okay.

kung sakya math ang forte, sshs is english. cksc sa chinese

st jude is okay sana but manonose bleed ang bata pag d cya nakasabay and most of the kids here have tutors. same with uno. strict sa uno at meron pang camera ang classroom to avoid kids from cheating.

my little brother studied at grace & just graduated last year, and sorry pero walang balance at all. ibang iba compared to nung time ng dad ko. books are imported but whats the sense of having imported books if that's the reason of their jacked up tuition fees? ni wala nga silang mga activities for kids (prom school fairs etc.) andami pang miscellaneous fees.

philadelphia naman sorry pero true na bagsakan to ng mga taga grace. same with piqc.

I'm really interested in MGC New Life, but I keep hearing negative feedbacks about this school. Are they super strict when it comes to the kids?How much is the tuition fee there?Any feedbacks would help!Thanks sis!

^tuition is about 100k. I'll verify with hubby if this is annually na for kinder. their math is what they call the singapore math style kaya advanced. and true na hindi basta basta makakapasok dito since they keep the ration of students to teacher low to maintain the quality of their education.

So far naman, parang i didn't hear any bad feedbacks on the school.. Quality i must say is very good! and yes, sabi nga nila medyu mahirap nga makapasok dito since small lang un school..

my daughter goes to jubilee and my soon to be 5 year old son will soon be studying na din sa Jubilee. Okey naman sya kung academics pag-uusapan but that's it puro nga academics, even the directress admits it na kung academics di naman sila pahuhuli. It's the most convenient kasi for us as we live within the vicinity lang. But if I have a choice I would want a Catholic School sana. No offense sa mga Christian schools but I'm catholic kasi and masasabi ko na iba talaga ang approach nila sa Christian Education so I always make sure that I know what their lessons are in school para di maguluhan ang bata.
Most of the students have tutors, my kids don't have. well for some time, I had my daughter go see a Chinese tutor because I'm not Chinese and I'm of no help to her when it comes to their Chinese lessons. Right now my child studies on her own and okey naman she excels kahit papano.

^sabi ni hubby SIL's tuition nung pre-school is cheaper lang ng konti sa 80k. yung 80k btw is grade 1.

but there's a chance na dyan namin paaralin baby namin as we definitely don't want our kid to speak in singlish. no way...

gusto namin ni hubby sa MGC New Life din actually (I'm about to give birth palang

) nagkataon lang na most friends have kids na kaya familar ako with the schools that i mentioned, aside from pareho kami ni hubby na merong younger sibling na bata. my SIL who studies at MGC new life is only 7yrs old. 19yrs ang gap nila ni hubby
