I think if you're expecting Mr. Right to just drop from nowhere, you're in for a surprise. Surprise! No one's there.

People who look and ended up heartbroken were probably disappointed because they had no idea what they were looking for. They have silly requirements and forego the important ones.

I say go look everywhere. Go lang nang go. That's so much better than just whining.

Also, madaming matinong single guys. Jusme, sa circle lang ng boylet ko, there are about 3 guys there na maayos talaga na single. But just like some girls, ayaw maghanap. Ayan di tuloy kayo nagkakitaan. Naghihintayan kasi kayo eh harhar.

^I agree with u sis mooncake! kung maghihintayan kau walang mangyayari. i'm not the kind of person who likes socializing with people. i enjoy my "me" time a lot kaso ang problema nga, i don't meet a lot of people that way.. kaya ako ngaun actively going out kasi i have to force myself to meet new people. okay lang naman. you learn a lot of new things and become more open to opportunities. in short, i'm still a loner pero ndi na as bad as before.

Yes, I agree...
Mr. Right will come and you really don't have to find him like it's your ultimate goal... He will come as long as you also move in a way that you socialize and have connections. He's somewhere there. He'll find you as long as you dive in the world of socialization. :)

Saan ba sila pwedeng mameet?
« Reply #65 on: September 12, 2010, 07:53:34 pm »
San ba sila naglipana? Mga sis, san ba pwede makahanap ng potential mate? :D like Sex and the City style, Carrie goes to some place then meets a single guy? Kase if gigimik ako to meet new guys, di kaya mauwi sa 3rd party type of heartbreak kase diba sabi nila, walang seryosohang nangyayare sa mga nagmeet sa gimik places? What are your thoughts mga sisses? :)

I met my BF over the net and we're together for roughly 8 years now... only, we're kind of falling apart na... .sigh.

Pero no regrets.  He's handsome, savvy, loving, loyal... he's every woman's dream guy.  As in totally!  So if he ever gives me up,  :'(  his next GF would be one of the luckiest girls in the universe.

Sis, I'd have to say, as per the old adage, "You don't look for love, it finds you".   ::)  Some people just get into trouble in their desperate desire to find love... and this is not how it should be.  In God's time, the person meant for you will be yours.  Be patient.  In His own time.  Cheers!   ;)

i actually don't recommend gimik places because nearly everyone there is intoxicated and you'll be intoxicated too and it's already proven fact that everyone and their dog look better from the POV of someone who's had a little too much to drink. also, most people go there for fun and for hookups.

also, don't believe sex and the city. there's a reason why it's such a hit: it's a fantasy world.

if you really want to meet guys, i suggest dating websites. i am not kidding.

:P

Yeah I don't suggest going to bars or clubs to find partners for serious relationships.  Why don't you try picking up a hobby. Take up running and join running clubs. Or if you're the religious type, be active in your Church. A friend of mine met her husband to be in their church. Go back to school din. Another friend of mine met her husband in MBA school. They were classmates. The point is, immerse yourself in activities where you can meet nice, interesting men in a wholesome way. You'll have a higher chance of meeting men with other things in their minds other than just your booty.

if you want to easily get a guy, go to a club.

if you want to easily get a semi-sensible guy, go surf the internet (Tagged, MySpace, Facebook, ManilaTonight)

if you want to get a sensible, smart, stable, long-term relationship type of guy, go enroll in a graduate school. (most of the reasons why girls enroll to graduate school is because of this) :)

depende yan sis what you are looking for right now. if it's a booty call then head to the bars but if it's a serious relationship, put yourself out there and enjoy life with new things. there you will meet new people and have new experiences and be able to have something in common with someone :)

I don't know if it works there.

1. Bookstore
2. Grocery
3. Gym
4. Clubs like car club, firing range, country club, golf course, tennis court
5. Out of town
6. Restaurant
7. Coffee shop
8. Park

If you want to meet guys, go alone sa mga places that i've mentioned. Be sure to look your best but not too made up. It's important to smile too. Be sure not to look to busy also.  ;)

Don't go the park if you're alone and gabi na. Kasi, hindi yata safe ang mga park diyan.  :)

Yes, I agree. If you go out kahit saan, whether grocery pa yan, coffee shop, or gym, may makikilala ka din dyan. Problem lang skin mahiyan ako. May gusto nga ako sa gym kaso nahihiya ako i-approach siya or something kasi baka mapahiya lang ako. I guess kelangan talaga ng courage.

just be happy with yourself, enjoy being alone. Guys can sense if you are enjoying yourself as being single and if you are pressured. Nagmumukha kang trying hard. So, just enjoy life. nakaka attract ang pagiging masaya.

Do not let people pressure you.To hell with them. lol! ako, Iam 33 na. Iam happy being single, being with somebody does not guarantee you a happy life.. baka nga mas masaya ka pa na wala kang lovelife kesa mayroon.

I agree with you sis! Don't be too pressured kung single ka. Enjoy it. Don't wait, or else, baka mainip ka lang. Let God bring "him" in His perfect time. And siyempre, don't forget to smile. It makes us beautiful in an instant. :)
