sis amihan, thanks. may nabasa ako sa pex, nakakuha siya invitation letter kahit na 3 nights na hotel at 1 day tour lang inavail niya. i'll take chances again. sayang kasi tickets. medyo mas mahal nga lang kesa DIY pero pwede na rin kasi less hassle na.

mga sis! me and my niece are coming to beijing on oct 30. my second time and first time naman ng niece ko. first time i went, nangarag kami sa pag kuha ng visa kasi ang dami kailangan... that was around aug 2011. at that time P80k lang kailangan sa acct and no need for 6months statements. saktong a day before our trip, saka namin nakuha. super thankful kami sa travel agency namin kasi ginawa talaga lahat para makapunta kami... tapos mura pa ng package namin na full board pa... around P15k per person. nag inquire na ako as early as now para di maulit yung hirap sa pagkuha ng visa. sabi ng travel agency, nag iba nanga daw yung requirements at email daw nila once makuha nila info... buti na lang nagtanong na ako at nabasa ko itong thread... sayang pag naunsyame ang beijing e

Hi! I called up our suki travel agency this morning. No need to have nbi clearance na pala when applying for china visa. Yung bank cert lang medyo maraming arte. Hehe. My mom, bros and i will be going to beijing this sept or october. 2 whole days lang kami dun kasi sasabay lang kami sa flight ng brother ko who is a pilot of cebu pac. Free na yung airfare and hotel accomocation namin so ok narin. More on tourist spots lang kami like great wall, forbidden city and others. Sana makakuha kami agad ng china visa.

^I went with my hubby too when he had a flight to Beijing. Medyo malayo lang yung crew hotel ng CebPac but easily accessible yung subway nila via taxi. The nearest subway to the hotel is just across the road pero medyo malayo-layo din yung entrance. So better to take a taxi to Sanyuanquiao station.

mga sis, nagpaquote ako sa isang travel agency na accredited sa china kasi we need the invitation letter.

Bale, my mom and I will be arriving in Shanghai on the midnight of October 31. We plan to leave Shanghai on the evening of November 1 via a (soft) Sleeper Train going to Beijing for experience.

On November 2, we want to tour the Great Wall Mutianyu Side and Summer Palace tapos sa Nov 3 naman we want to go DIY sa forbidden city/tiananmen square etc. kung ano pa pwede masingit. We leave again thru a domestic flight going back to Shanghai on the morning of nov. 4.

Our flight back to Manila is November 5 at 1:00am.

Sobrang mahal na ba yan? Pinatanggal ko yung 1 way overnight sleeper train pabalik ng Shanghai so 367USD na lang daw per person. Kami na lang magbobook ng domestic flight saka 1 night hotel sa Shanghai. Pahingi naman inputs mga sis. Thanks.

^ for me sis, spend all days na lang sa shanghai. then book ka na lang uli na beijing naman haha. mas relaxed and para maappreciate niyo din shanghai. pag nakatiyempo ka pa ng super sale na fare, halos same lang lalabas.

^no need for bank certficate if your employer will sponsor you to get a work permit. Do you have job offer na ba?

no. I meant, the company I am working for (Philippine company) will sponsor my trip to China. Would I still need to show my bank certificate?

@yellow_bell: How much ang local fight? We took the bullet train from beijing to shanghai. About 3,500 pesos.. This takes about 5 hrs..

baka di na naman kami tumuloy. nagtext yung cebu pac na namove daw yung flight namin from oct. 31 to nov. 1 ng gabi. so bale 3 full days na lang kami dun if ever. and that's not enough to see Beijing and instead we'll stay sa Shanghai na lang. ang prob is, i don't know what to book with the authorized travel agencies just to get the invitation letter. we need it for the visa kasi we cant produce the bank statement.

^sis, pag nagmove ng flight ang cebpac, pwede papalitan yung schedule ng original departure at arrival dates. so pwede yung nov 1- nov 5 or nov 6 pa nga e.

Sayang, ngayon ko lang na browse tong thread na to, super naging busy kasi ako sa Bohol trip namin nung August. Anyways, share ko lang experience ko sa pagkuha ko ng visa for China. we're supposed to go to Shanghai nung Sept 1-4 then Beijing ng Oct 4-8. So my friend and I went there ng August 23 to apply for a visa na double entry. I just checked their websites sa requirements and inayos ko lahat mula sa NBI, COE, etc. Pagpunta namin ng embassy, naloka ako sa dami ng tao at ang tagal ng pila. Nandun kami ng mga 10m pero 4:30pm na kami nakaalis dun and denied ang application namin dahil sa bank cert. May sarili silang requirement for bank cert and yes kailangan 6 mos opened sya prior to visa app then kailangan naka reflect sa bank cert na may ADB sya na 100k plus pati yung ending balance. wala akong problem sa ending balance, pero my acct was just opened nung May 2012 kasi ni close ko yung old acct ko at inilipat ko sa bank na malapit sa kin. So dun pa lang bagsak na. Sabi nung taga embassy, pwede gamitin ang acct ng parents or ng mga kapatid ko, pero I told them wala naman work ang parents ko at sa aming magkakapatid, ako lang ang medyo may pera ng konti so impossible sa kin na magamit yun.

Then I came up with an idea and mukhang magwo-work na sana, problema lang sa dami ng holiday nung August kinapos na kami ng oras. mali din kami kasi late na rin kami nag ayos ng visa, hindi naman kasi namin inisip na ganun pala sya kahirap since sa Korea wala naman kahirap-hirap tapos libre pa. 4 working days ang regular processing nila, at the time na nagawan ko ng paraan, halos 3 days nalang natitira sa kin so magbabayad na ko ng extra para umabot sa sept 1. Sa sobrang hirap na inabot namin, pati yung kasama ko nag give up na rin kasi mas maraming requirements sa kanya dahil self employed sya, then ako GY shift ang work ko, after ng work nasa embassy na ko tapos umuwi lang ako para maligo then pasok uli sa work ng walang katulog-tulog, inisip ko it's not worth it na ituloy pa yung Shanghai. Mapapamahal na kami, tapos sobrang hirap pa, nag decide na lang kami na hayaan na masayang yung ticket na nakuha namin nung 11-11-11 pa, i think nasa 2,800 lang naman yun. Tapos yung hotel reservation, kinancel ko na rin sa Agoda, icha-charge lang daw ako ng $15, pero di ko pa na check kung nag refund na sila.

So eto, tomorrow, itutuloy na namin uli ang pagkuha ng visa, this time para naman sa Beijing. Hopefully maayos na at makakuha na kami kasi Beijing talaga ang gusto namin, nagkamali lang ako ng pag book ng Shanghai last year kasi akala ko mas malapit sa Shanghai ang Great wall, hehe. Engots pa kasi ako dati kasi kulang ako sa research saka na excite ako masyado sa sale ng cebu pac. May 2nd option na din kami na ipaayosa travel agency pag na deny na naman requirments namin, pero try ko muna tomorrow. I'll give an update kung sakali.

Saka na uli ako magba-backread about sa mga hotels and DIY tour pag may visa na kami hehe. Pero so far, I've done my research na abt hotels pati yung tour at bus na papunta samga attraction. ayoko talaga sumasali sa group tour kasi mas gusto ko na hawak ko ang oras ko, pag group tour kasi may tendency na magtagal kayo sa isang place pag pasaway mga kasaby di ba? hehe..saka mas mura kasi at mas challenging pag DIY. Yun pa naman ang trip ko, mag explore ng lugar na halos walang alam, but definitely, yung metro subway ang gagamitin ko.

sorry kung mahaba mga sis, naglabas lang ako ng sama ng loob hehe, saka na uli ako magtatanong pagkatapos ng visa app namin tomorrow. wish us luck, hehe..

We stayed at 2 Budget friendly hotels.
The first one is Beijing fuxing hotel. Ok lang yung hotel not much to expect but the area is good. next to a pastry shop, grocery store, some chinese retaurants and mc donalds. Only less than 100m from the nearest metro station.

The second one is Soluxe Courtyard Hotel. Nice cozy courtyard style hotel but not much to expect from the area.  Also about 100 m from the metro station.

Dr. Smile, I was also looking at this Fuxing Holiday Hotel. Can you pls give a little feedback po about the room itself kung gano sya kalaki, saka kung mahirap bang hanapin, or kung very thin nga yung walls kaya maingay at saka kung ok naman ang bathroom. di naman kailangan ng magandang bathroom basta malinis at may hot and cold shower pwede na.  wala kasi akong makitang mga reviews. Thanks.

yes you can probably demand for them to move your return kc maapektohan itinerary nyo.. just in case you decide on persuing beijing. In my case my departure was via beijing and return via shanghai..
