mga sisses, pahelp naman.. punta kaming dumaguete next wkend at wala kaming masyadong idea sa place.. main goal namin is makapunta ng casaroro falls pero wala masyadong package na makita online.. may alam ba kayong nagpaparent ng van papunta dun from city proper ng dumaguete? .. any tips na rin po about the place.. mga what to do etc.. thanks

sis, maganda ang casaroro falls yun nga lang matinding baba sa hagdan tapos lakad to the falls tapos akyat pabalik sa road.  combination of concrete steps pero pag sa ibaba na talaga eh steel railing - syempre kaya

malamig pag nandun na sa ibaba and going to casaroro falls -  yung nag guide sa amin from forest camp. 

from forest camp kasi merong sasakyan parang yung nung panahon ng hapon na trak going to where you will begin the hike.  nagbaon kami ng water and biscuits kasi pagdating sa ibaba you would want to rest and drink and eat a little bit.   forgot na if 600 steps ba yun.

meron naman resting place and the guide will tell you to rest.  pero kita mo na yung tubig so syempre excited na

then short walk lang to the falls =  maganda at good photo op venue.

may CR on the way to the falls pero we did not try it

paakyat talagang di pwedeng di kayanin eh di naiwan ka sa ibaba hahahaha, tapos we went back to forest camp - had lunch there

ang problem we pre ordered the food eh yun pala sobrang mahal - to date, that is the most expensive lunch i had in my life (buti pa ata nag buffet na lang ako sa sofitel- ganun) 

after lunch went to twin lake (but we only saw one of the twin kasi late afternoon na eh nasa itaas pa kami ng bundok)

next day apo island

3rd day early flight to manila

how long will you be in dumaguete?  where will you stay?  ilan ba kayo?

a friend toured us around, ill ask her if she can refer someone.

it was a good trip bitin lang yung two days :-)

sis angelice_08, day tour lang kami sa apo island . . . can't remember kung magkano ang rent sa boat - kasyang kasya lang kami and we're 8 - baka mga P2000 -P2500

upon arrival pay agad ng about P100 or P150 per person pero pag from the province may discount.

yung lunch namin about P200/person

reasonable na din ang price ng shirt P175 - P250 pero makipagtawaran kang mabuti - yung mga nagtitinda yung tipong nasa malaking plastic bags ang mga tinda nila.


sa dumaguete we stayed in RM Guesthouse located across St. Paul's Academy, near downtown Dumaguete area.  mura talaga tapos bago pa lang, cheap ang breakfast, may convenience store sa ibaba and may spa (kung guest ka ng RM guesthouse may 5 or 10% discount sa spa services)  we had foot massage dun after a long walk at casaroro falls, very relaxing . . . .

Hi sis!

I'm originally from Dgte... haven't gone home for some time now...kaya di ko na rin alam yung mga for rent na sasakyan dun...   

Mas better if may kasama ka na taga dun or familiar dun para ma.tour mo lahat ng nandun... casaroro falls is one of the nicest place in Dgte, near naman sya ng Forest Camp w/c is probably below it (kc aakyat kpa sa bundoK)..there's mt talinis if you're into mountain climbing, or if swimming, may nga magagandang resorts naman, there's Sea Forest, Antulang (where Ryan agoncillo proposed to Judy ann, as what I've read), sta monica, atlantis, bahura, and many more... If your into whale & dolphin watching, you can go to Bais city,...  you can also take a tour @ my former school, Silliman University sa may city proper... 

As for food, there's a lot of local restaurants there that you can go to... there's Jo's chicken inato, scoobys (w/c is kinda like jollibee, although we also have jobi  ), city burger (w/c I miss so much, super yummy yung chicken nila and the sauce..hmmmm), Don atilano, and many others...  oh, don't forget to go to Sans Rival, I so love their cakes, dun kami palagi umoorder if may occasion...

usually if you ride the pedicab (w/c is a lot bigger than tricycles here in manila), alam na nila kung saan yung location kc Dgte is just a small place..

Hi sissies! Next year pa kami pupuntang Dumaguete-Siquijor but I've made my researsh na..hehe!

Bais - May nacontact ako si Ate Sharon, 3k daw ang isang private pump boat for 10pax.

i just saw the pictures of this place from a philippine book... and swear na pupunta ko dito next year!! ang ganda nya talaga ^_^

kami din pupunta dito.. supposedly this august.. kaso nagkaprob sa schedule namin. nanghihinayang kami sa ticket (may ticket kami both for august and march).. kaya sa march na lang.. di bale mukang worth the wait ito.

Personally, ayoko magspend ng ganun kamahal para sa boat. I even asked baka pwede makijoin sa ibang pupunta tapos split na lang sa bayad, sab niya yun iba kasi gusto sila-sila lang..

Mga sis, ingat lang din dyan pagpa-book ng boat kay Sharon.  Nag-book din ako sa kanya before, as in willing kami to pay nung malaking boat pero alam nyo ba, nabasa ko sa isang forum na hindi na pala pinapayagan ang boats nung time na papunta kami, may ilang weeks na, dahil sa alon pero tinanggap pa rin ni Sharon yung booking ko.  Nainis ako talaga kasi paano yun kung pumunta kami tapos kalagitnaan ng trip eh hindi kami maka-proceed at maalon?  Or worse pano kung pinilit niya tapos napahamak ang passengers?  Bad talaga yan.

For more info on Dumaguete, google ninyo yung Dumaguete Forums, super helpful kasi ang mga sumasagot doon ay puro taga-Dumaguete, updated ang info nila.  Puede kayong magtanong kung maalon, etc.

Ay oo nga ewan ko bakit di ma-open.  Try nyo na lang yung link sa sig ko, tapos search for the Dumaguete blog.  It's on page 3 or 4 I think

Sis yikee, yung boat ni Sharon for whale-watching yun tsaka papunta sa Bais ba yun.  Yung Dumaguete to Siquijor, dapat pupunta din kami pero ang weird nung schedule ng ferry, dahil di kami nakabili ng tickets agad, nagtanong na lang kami ng sked.  Nung day na pupunta kami, gising kaming maaga tapos buti tumawag kami kasi biglang sabi wala daw byahe nung araw na yun so ayun di kami natuloy.  Not meant to be rin siguro kasi biglang hindi ko rin ma-contact yung dapat na magtou-tour sa amin sa Siquijor.
