Question - can taking pills stop/delay your period?

tipay - my friend took two consecutive packs, so she didn't have her period that month. Wala kasi siya sa pinas, and she's coming home, so alam na. hehe.

i have a question. ngtatake ako ng pills ngayon. im using yasmin. im getting married na in a few months time. if for example ngstop ako mgtake ng pills and nabuntis, will there be any side effects sa baby? kc syempre [textspeak!] body natin may gamot parin from the pills. mgkakaroon kaya ng side effect sa baby? or dapat ill stop taking pills muna for a couple of months bago mgkababy? thanks!

^ from what I know sis, you have to inform you're gyne if you plan to stop taking the pills already. shempre kasi ipre-prepare ka niya sa pagbubuntis.

im wondering too..

for example ako.. diba i'm taking pills. then, naka miss ako. and that certain missed pill made me pregnant. shempre ako, di ko alam na i'm pregnant na. tuloy pa rin ako sa pills till naubos yung pack, i'd know lang diba na pregnant ako dahil hindi ako nagkaron, right? how would that affect the baby?

^well yung mom ko ganyan ang nangyari sa kanya. nagmiss sya ng pills tapos hinabol nya by drinking lahat ng pills sabay sabay na namiss, then continue usage ulit sya. kaso useless yung paghahabol nya. nabuntis parin sya. yung result nun eh is my brother. okay naman si bro gwapo kaso malaki lang ulo nya at tamad hahaha.

ngtatake parin kc ako ng pill para gumanda [textspeak!] skin. pero i plan to stop it na after i get married. for example ngstop ako this month then next month or in two months e mapreggy ako.. will there be side effects sa baby? thanks

taking pills- start po sya at the first day of mens to regulate yung normal day of menses mo.
sa mga nagtatanung nabasa nila sa leaflet [textspeak!] 7days na pagtigil nila s paginom then [textspeak!] ika 8th day start ulet.if you notice sa pills nyo may 7 pills na iba kulay ang tawag po dun placebo effect, vit. pu un..nilagay lang sya para hinde malito un umiinom.actually [textspeak!] ibang pills wala nun..ibig sabihin din kasi nun,un na [textspeak!] days na magmemens ka na

@andie75: I dont think that there will be side effects sa baby.. possible pa na mahirapan muna magconceive after magstop sa pills.

others say, mahirap kasi diba OCPs are made to thicken our lining para di tayo mabuntis. and if matagal na tayo gumamit, masyado nang makapal yun, hence mahihirapan magbuntis.

yung iba naman na nabubuntis agad, swerte nila. i guess super healthy ang eggs, and ang galing lang nung sp***s na galing kay daddy/partner. hehe!

its a case to case basis sis, that's why kailangan natin magpa-alaga sa OB.

@MrsLuluyz- malaki talaga ulo ng bro ko, pero hindi naman side effect ng pills yun.

wala pa naman ako nabalitaan na mahihirapan ka magbuntis pag tumigil ka sa pills. mejo OT pero ang maraming balita na nahirapan mabuntis ay [textspeak!] injection na birthcontrol na good for 3 years. dami ko kakilala na nag pa ganon tapos nung gusto na nila magpabuntis hirap na sila. yung isa ko naman na friend nagpapapainject naman ng ganon pero good for three months lang yung kanya, nung tumigil sya nabuntis agad ng wala sa oras.

diane35. 2nd pack pa lang ako ngaun. gaano ba katagal bago makita yung effects like glowing skin? i'm taking it as a contraceptive talaga pero siyempre bonus na rin kung glowing pa talaga ang skin.
ngtry ako althea, 2 packs lang tapos switch ko na sa diane kasi heavy mood swings ko sa althea. wala pa namang weight gain. gusto ko sana gain ng konti kasi sobra naman akong patpatin after childbirth.

sisses, i am taking yasmin pero i am planning to stop na. kasi wala lang. LOL. ano kayang side effects if I stop? ayokong tumaba ayokong magkapimples ayokong magkamood swings. when I started using yasmin naman walang ganung side effects. Though napansin ko mas malaki yung breasts ko now compared sa dati.

mas madali nga mabuntis pag naka pills e, makalimot ka lang ng isa or dalawa, buntis ka na agad (kung active kayo ni hubby). pero case to case pa din.

ako kasi 7years nagpills (7yo na din eldest daughter ko) before ako nag stop, hoping for another baby. 3months kami naghintay bago ako nabuntis ulit. im not sure if that's because i prolonged the use of it kaya natagal at hindi ako agad nabuntis when i stopped my pills.

when to start: i always (always, kasi i stop taking pag hubby is abroad, and start again a month before he arrives, so on..) start my first pill sa 2nd day ng mens ko (actually my ob says, it's ok to start within the 1st-5th day of mens). others say naman, it depends on what pills you will use. i use Marvelon28.

if you choose to stop, you can always do so, but be sure na ubusin muna yung previous pack. and to be so sure na hindi kayo mapepreggy when you stop, as for me, i always take another extra pack. finishing it without any sexual contact makes me feel very safe to stop. hihi. but, it's just me. it's always best to consult your ob.

now, im regularly taking it again dahil magkasama na kami ni hubby abroad.

galing mo naman talagang family planning at its best. haha. wala ka namang naeexperience whenever you stop taking pills? walang mood swings?  well, i asked my friend na nagstop din and she told me na i should NOT be worried kasi when I stop, everything will go back to normal. before naman ako magpills di naman ako maraming pimples and I didn't really take it to lose weight. I am just really scared na if I stop, magiging mataba ako and magwawarla yung skin ko.

actually, namamag-asa nga sana ako sa diane35 para lumaki ang boobs ko, naka 6months ako pero wala naman nangyayari hehe. ang mahal pa naman.

hindi ako mapimples (though, im having few pag malapit na ako magmens) at natural akong payat, the only thing na kakaiba kapag hindi ako nakapills, malakas ang mens ko. ngayong nakapills ako, 2-3days lang ako gumagamit ng napkin, tapos liners nalang palagi dahil patak patak nalang.

well, kung for the benefit of your skin kaya ka gumagamit ng pills, hindi ko alam kung papangit ang skin mo pag nag stop ka. :-)

i didnt know na nakakapayat pala ang pills. from what i've heard sa ibang friends ko, sila naman ang tumataba pag umiinom ng pills kaya ayaw nila magtake. hehe.

im using mercilon pills ,4 months ko na syang gamit..and ok naman, dati kasi nung dalaga super tadtarin ng pimples mukha ko .. pero nung gumamit na ko ng pills aside from contraceptive sya, nakakakinis din sya ng face and glow parang lagi kang blooming tignan

now i have a question, is it ok kaya habang nagtatake ako ng hormonal pill, mag take din ako ng vitamins para makapag gain ako ng weight??super pumayat ako lalo after manganak ee
