A backlink is just a link that points to your site. yung anchor text naman is the word or words that you use to describe the link

sample: (this is how you create a link)
<a href ="http://yoursite.com">Anchor Text </a>

Importante lang ang anchor text if you're doing SEO, otherwise you can just use your website's URL.

There are many ways to get backlinks, but the easiest and fastest is to comment on blogs. Pero "ba't ang dami ko ng comments sa ibang blog, wala pa din ako PR or mababa pa din PR ko?"

These could be the reasons:
1. do-follow ba yung blog?
Di kasi counted ang backlink na may no-follow tag.

2. mas mataas ba sa PR mo yung PR nung blog?
A backlink kasi is parang a vote din. Kunwari lang, if you get a backlink from a PR0 blog, it's 1 vote. Pero if you get a backlink from a PR1 blog, it's 2 vote, PR2 it's 4 votes, PR3 8 votes, so on and so forth. The more votes you accumulate, the higher the PR.

3. madami bang comment yung blog?
Pero, kahit mataas ang PR, pag madami masyadong comments ang blog, nahahati yung PR. Parang ganito, a link juice (yan tawag nila sa value ng backlinks) from PR5 with 100 comments can just be equal to PR1 blog with 1 comment.

4. kulang ka pa sa backlinks.

Related ba ang SEO sa PR?
Medyo pero mas strict ang SEO, at mas madaming factors involve.

Keep on commenting, tataas din ang PR mo. Link exchange (blogroll, badge exchange, giving of awards, etc) can also increase PR. pero warning lang, if gusto mong mag-SEO, forget link exchange kasi di maganda yun for SEO.

^the most accurate way to check sis is to look at the source code.

On top of your browser: View -> Source/Page Source

tapos search mo yung "nofollow". pag may nakita ka, tingnan mo yung mga kasunod na text kung mukhang comment section. minsan kasi may mga nofollow tags pero para pala sa ibang links and not necessarily sa mga comment links. so okay pa din magpost dun.

or kung firefox gamit mong browser, install the nodofollow plugin. pag activated yun, load a site at nakahighlight ng pink yung nofollow links.

sis, galing sa dashboard mo, punta ka sa "layout" or "design" tab, then click mo "edit HTML" then hanapin mo yung "nofollow" then just remove it

i looked at the html pero wala akong makita whether "dofollow" or "nofollow"... ginawa ko din yung advice nung isang sis sa taas na tingnan ang source code... wala pa din.

pag nasa source code at click ko Find... "followers" lang lumalabas sa search work na follow. ginawa ko din nofollow at dofollow ang search word pero wala pa din.

up to now kasi 0/10 pa din pagerank ko... kung kelan pa ako bumili ng domain at pumatol sa mga site submission chorva na yan. ang dami tuloy spam ng email ko galing sa mga site submission sites kuno.

Hindi naman paid yun blog ko mga sisters, for hobby purposes lang talaga. perosinunod ko yun mga sinabi nyo about the nofollow, dofollow. nakita ko sa page source ko dami nofollow. ano gagawin ko dun?

^^wala namang masamang effect sa blog if madami kang nofollow tags, unless gusto mong gawing dofollow yung blog mo. pwede mong idelete yung "rel=nofollow" to make it dofollow. pero tingnan mo din kung saan part ka ng blog nagdedelete. usually sa comment at sidebar section lang dapat.

minsan kasi may purpose talaga yung nofollow tag like it prevent spiders from crawling to pages na ayaw mong makita ng search engine.

^ for firefox, you can download plugins like google toolbar, may icon sila for pagerank. or go to prchecker.info, enter your site or place their checker tool code in your site.

^sis, check mo sa youtube maraming tutorials dun. Personally, nahihirapan ako sa SEO kaya kailangan ng sobrang daming tiyaga. One thing about SEO is that pabago bago at padami ng padami yung techniques. kaya kailangan tuloy tuloy parin ang research at pagpractice. basta lagi ko lang sinasabi sa mga nagtatanong about it, hindi porke't gumana ang isang technique sa isang tao, gagana na sa lahat. trial and error parin talaga. yun kasi minsan ang reason ng iba kaya mabilis silang maggive-up. pero what's fun about it is that minsan ikaw na mismo ang makakadiscover ng mga bagong techniques.

^^ for starters, dapat magfocus ka muna in building links. madaming nagsasabi na ang really essence talaga SEO is link building. it all boils down to how many quality links you can get to point to your site.

seo can be overwhelming talaga kasi walang standard techniques, kanya kanya ng diskarte kumbaga. ganun kasi talaga. so i suggest ma you get the basic concept first like keyword research (although madalas client na ang nagbibigay nito), onpage seo, offpage seo, link building, site relevance, quality of links vs quantity of links at kung anong effect nito sa page na inooptimize mo.

then pag ok kana sa concept, pag-aralan mo naman where and how to get links.
links talaga ang pinaka-importante sa seo, sa technique lang talaga nagkakaiba. ang trend naman ngayon, pinagsasabay yung social networking at seo, which is ok din.
