My question is:  Do you care about your Google Page Rank?
What types of SEO techniques are you using to improve your site's ranking?

honestly, i don't really care about page rank. but that's just me. others will still find page rank to be important to their sites kasi yun ang gauge na that site is a trustworthy site and a lot of site link back to it.

ang alam ko to increase your page rank is to have people link to your site. dito papasok ang link exchange. what's important, though, is that the site linking to yours is somehow related to your site at hindi siya considered bad sites ng google. i guess one step to improve your site's page rank is to get backlinks from other sites.

For some people who does paid posts, a high Page Rank, PR3 or higher is very important. Pay to blog sites like PPP, Sponsored reviews, etc... prefer blogs that have high PR. They can also get higher offers from advertisers.

^---sis, one trick i did is to post a comment on a fellow blog
a blog with the same niche and has a google PR of 1
i anchored my keyword, linking to a post of mine

the next day, i check my google/webmaster... indexed na...
soon enough some of my post are ranking, pero hindi 1

~These are the techniques I've used so far:
1. put proper keywords
2. Submit to search engines
3. Directory submissions
4. Facebook Indexing.

When I started blogging, I really didn't have any idea what PR is for. So I researched about it and tried to follow instructions to get higher PR. Sadly though, for a couple of months I didn't get any rank at all (not even zero, it only shows a question mark) but I didn't give up since I've always believed that for you to know if you'll find success in blogging, you have to try it yourself.

^^I comment naman in other blogs eh. Na index na pala ko yesterday, 0 PR ko. How long did it take you to get PR 1?

^no sis. they're not the same.. SEO (search engine optimization) is what you do to increase your PR (pagerank).

Hmmm, actually sis nung nagumpisa ako, matagal din question mark lang ang PR ng site ko... then matagal din ulit na zero bago ko nakitang naging 1. kaya wag ka madiscourage sis... wala naman kasi yata talaga nakakaalam ng guidelines ng google kung paano nila pinapataas ang PR ng isang site.

Ang alam ko kasi, Google updates Page Rank every 3 months lang. So lahat ng effort natin na ginagawa ngayon para tumaas ang PR natin, next quarter lang yung magrereflect sa Page Rank natin. Google updates page rank every quarter of the year.

So sad. My PR went back to 0 from 3. I changed my URL kasi  I expect no paid tasks until I get back to PR3

Di ko maintindihan ang backlinks. Diba when you comment sa ibang blogs, plus you post sa forums or post your blogsite sa iba't ibang sites, +1 ang backlink? I proactively promote nga my blog aside from GT eh. Why o why?

Nabasa ko pala, since google is going public (IPO yata), they need more traffic to their site - that's why it will help daw if you have at least one link going to google. Nilagyan ko na ng box ng google custom search, preparing for the next "crawl" hehe.

@realmofadreamer - So it should take a while talaga para tumaas ang PR? Less than 2 months na siguro yung blog ko, around 30-something posts.

@golden - Sis, nabasa ko, every 3 months daw, unannounced - eh parang yung page 1 lang yata ng blog ang cini-crawl ng google.

^--- sis, the backlinks that you need to get should be relevant to your site... let say about medicine ang blog mo
better comment on other medicine related blog or sites with a high google PR.

Another tip is to anchor your keywords.  Don't just comment.  On your comment use a rich keyword and anchor it to one of your posts.

I don't think promotion in GT helps.  What I do is comment on blogs with commentluv option, that way i get instant backlinks to my site.

Meron mga ganito ang mga big SEO gurus.  Hanap ka lang ng site na may commentLuv

^I read kase na promoting in forums helps increase PR. Oh well, ang dami ko pa dapat matutunan hehe.

^sis, try looking for sites na "dofollow" yung links. marami kasing naka "nofollow" yung links nila especially sa blogger since nakaset-up na talaga yun na nofollow. kailangan pa nilang imanually delete/change it para maging dofollow.

Madami na ngang no-follow blogs for comment posting ngayon.  Yun namang iba na do-follow, hindi moderated kaya grabe ang spam from automated software.

Try to concentrate in getting backlinks through article writing and submission, spin and submit again, paid/free directory submission, forum profiles and signature, etc.  Having various types of links will make your strategy more natural in bot's eyes.

For PR, hindi ko care masyado.  Pero if mataas ang Alexa Ranking ng site, plus madaming good backlinks kusang magi-improve ang PR in no time.

Last PR update was end of March ... siguro ang next update nasa end of June to July.

mga sis... sensya na lost ako. paki-explain naman how to "anchor keywords to your posts" pag nag-comment ka halimbawa sa ibang blog.

ako kasi pag may nagustuhang blog nagko-comment talaga ako... pero pano  ko ba yun mako-convert to backlinks?

honestly, di ko maintindihan pano mag-backlink. paki-explain naman please.
