husband sponsorship: lumabas sa newspaper yan dapat 10k salary na sa family sponsorship. pero iba raw ang case kapag andito na sa qatar yung sponsoran. yung 10k applicable para sa mga family galing sa labas ng qatar.

Hello gt sisters from qatar. Help naman po oh, gustong gusto ko po talaga makapag work abroad kasi sobrang laki ng difference ang kikitain dito sa pinas as nurse ang sweldo abroad.. Meron po bang hiring jan sa qatar for nurseS? Baka po may alam po kayo mga sisses kindly share naman po.. Honestly po ayaw ko po sana sa middle east countries kaso nabasa ko sa ibang threads na okay naman lalo po sa qatar? Totoo po ba?

Hi sis, thanks for sharing. SAyang wala pa kasi akong xp pero kasi sa hospital na pagtetrainingan ko nagbbgay sila ng 1 year na certificate as staff nurse. Baka pwede ko ng ipagawang 2 years.. Okay po kaya kahit 2 years working xp certificate? Papatry ko din toh sa cousin ko.. Thanks talaga sis ha.. Godbless

I have been considering to go to the Middle East lately, kasi wala na talagang advancement ang work ko dito. I am a Registered Nurse, pero I work as an English Teacher for Koreans around two years na. Plan ko sana office work or hotel work in Qatar, kasi I heard that in the Middle East, kahit walang related experience, okay lang --- depending on the company.

My main dilemma is, I want to bring my family with me. My husband and I can look for work in Qatar sana, but we want to bring our son (I'll be giving birth next month) with us, pati sana our parents and siblings.

Hubby has one minor brother ---- the rest of his sibs can apply for jobs in Qatar din. his mom used to work in Qatar before, pero retired OFW na. Dad nya electrician here in the Phils, college undergrad.

Ako naman, my Mom is also a college undergrad, HRM course nya. Pero yung working exp nya, teaching din. Her bf is elementary grad, pero skilled worker, he makes yung eyeglasses. My sister is about to graduate from college in 2013, and will take board exam for teachers---- English major siya.

Sorry if napahaba yung kwento... I just want to ask a few questions sana....

1.) Will we be able to get our parents and siblings to Qatar? Yung salary requirement ba tumataas if padami ng padami ang kukunin naming tao?

2.) How long will it take? A year or two? Eeep, tatakot ako mahomesick.

3.) Will it be costly? I mean, I know magastos,... pero magiging worth it ba... or matataga din lang kami sa singil ng mga gov't agencies in Qatar...

sis, parang impossible ata gusto mo mangyari na pumunta kayo lahat dito esp wala pa ni isa sa inyo ng hubby mo ang may potential offer dito:) well...ganito yon...usually ang mga lalaki ang nag sponsor ng wife and family...but i know there are instances na nakakapag sponsor ang wife ng family. depende yan kung may family status yong makuhang work. mas maganda kung family status kasi sagot lahat ng company ang gastos pag ganun. kung hindi naman pwede pa rin mag sponsor basta pasok sa salary bracket.

regarding your extended family...there is no law that you can petition your extended family. some couples dinadala nila parents nila dito as visitor. may income bracket din ata yon. kung bata-bata pa parents nyo baka pwede sila hanap ng work para magkaroon ng work-resident visa. sa mga kapatid mahigpit sila lalo na pag working age na.  pero bago mo isipin na dalhin dito ang buong pamilya mo, siguro kailangan makahanap ka muna ng trabaho at makapunta dito. Then malalaman mo, how things work.  Cross the bridge when you get there.  One thing for sure, you can't go all at the same time.  Kahit sa States and other countries, it takes time to petition a relative. Kahit makahanap ka ng work or yong husband mo, it may take a few months, bago ka o sya makasunod dito.

My mom is 45 years old and my step dad is 43 years old. Super important po ba ng degree holders sila? Baka kasi dahil di sila makahanap ng work kasi di sila grad ng college. Yung siblings namin, sila na bahala mag-asikaso ng kanila, kasi they're working age naman na... di na namin sila sagutin... 

Yes, I understand po. Pero I was hoping sana na hindi ganun katagal ang hihintayin namin in terms of pagkuha sa kanila. Ayoko kasing pumunta ng ibang country kung di ko naman sila makukuha... ayoko kasi ma-homesick... kaya minamake sure ko sana if makukuha ko sila or not.

One last question though... if my husband and I apply sa iisang agency, pero different jobs at nagkataong mejo sabay ang pag-alis... pwede na ba namin isama son namin agad? or talagang kasama yun sa months ng paghihintay?

^hi sis kuliglig, i'll try to answer your last question ha.
anyway, sis peninsula is correct, even to answer your last question. Regardless of whether sabay kayo ng hubby mo na pumunta dito, the first consideration is the salary - if it fits into the required salary bracket na either you or your husband is capable of sponsoring your son, and as far as i know medyo mataas and salary bracket nila. If so, that's one of your major consideration when you receive an offer from any company.
also, just to be realistic sis ha, i think i disagree na they are not strict regarding experience. When we hire through an agency sa pinas, experience and/or educational background is a major requirement.

to your last question....NO.  Kailangan nyo muna magkaroon ng resident permit  bago kayo makapag sponsor and i think now they require few months of bank statement and accommodation rental contract.  Kahit family status, company usually wait at least 3 months...i don't know why but i guess it's because they need to process the residence permit first and they let the probation period be completed first.

degree...depende sa work na papasukan. dapat may solid experience din or skill sila na baon. at 40s without middle east experience, medyo mahirap in my opinion unless they have a special skill na kailangan dito. but again, that's just my opinion based sa observation ko. mahigpit din sila sa medical ha... there is no guarantee how long you'll need to wait before you can get them.

medical exams lang naman ay check for hepa and TB.

i think they are waiting for 3 mos at least bago kunin ang family para magkaron ng 3 mos bank statement which is requirement sa pag kuha ng family. dati alam ko 6 mos bank stats pero meron raw mga 4 mos pa lang nakaka apply na.

if ever makakuha kayo ng work ni hubby dito. you can apply first for a family visit visa for your son. you can apply for both of your parents too and other female relatives. thats up to 6 mos validity lang and lower salary requirements. when relatives arrive here in qatar then pwede na sila mag apply ng work.

hi mga sis, we're leaving qatar for good. we decided to go back to the phils. while i can still travel. i'm 6mos pregnant so i think safe pa naman db? i have a few questions lang, hope you can help me.

1. my husband renewed his passport a few weeks ago, can he travel? may nakapagsabi kasi sa kanya na pwede naman sabihin na sa pinas na lang niya claim un passport. will he be allowed to leave kaya? we just want to make sure. though his old passport is still with him.

2. we're still contemplating on how we're going to bring all our stuff to pinas. any suggestions sa sea freight na reliable? hindi naman rush so ok lang kahit matagal basta sure na makakarating un mga gamit. if i'm not mistaken 40kilos pa rin ba allowable ngayon per person sa check-in? hay sa totoo lang di ko alam pano magsimula magpack we have to take into consideration na hindi ako pwede magbuhat tapos meron pa kaming batang makulit na kasama..

3. any idea how many months ina-allow ng qatar airways para magtravel? single noncomplicated pregnancy naman ako, so i guess medical certificate lang ba kelangan i-present?

4. we have an 18month old baby, un stroller kaya niya til when pwede dalhin? i mean nun papunta kami dito sa doha, before boarding the plane pa lang siya kinuha pero pano kaya dito kasi db sasakay pa ng bus. worry ko pag chineck-in siya agad counted kaya un sa allowable weight?

^sis kuliglig, may nabasa ako somewhere regarding salary bracket para makapag sponsor ng family. 10k na un minimum ngayon. bagong rule lang siya na kapag mags-sponsor ka ng family na wala pa dito 10k un required. pero kunyari andito na tapos gusto mo transfer un visa to family 7k lang.

i think one of your concerns ay ang pagiging homesick, hindi ata maiiwasan un. lalo na muslim country dito, napakalaking adjustment talaga. suggestion ko, hanap muna si hubby ng work, then sponsor na lang niya kayo ni baby. kasi sino mag-aalaga kay baby kung pareho kayo nagwo-work dito?

i'll share my experience so you'll have an idea. after giving birth in the phils, i went back to doha with our baby. (i didn't want to give birth here kaya umuwi na lang muna ko then nun naayos na docs ni baby bumalik na kami). since lumagpas ako ng 6mos outside qatar, nagbayad si hubby ng penalty for my visa. we're both under his sponsorship. then he sponsored his mom so i can work. after 6mos, kinuha naman niya mom ko para may mag-aalaga kay baby. kaso di kinaya ng mom ko un pagka homesick, so after 3mos umuwi na siya. it was very hard for her to adjust with the climate, food and she can't stand the fact na nasa bahay lang siya. so i had to resign at the same time we found out that i'm preggy again. so stay-at-home mom na lang ako. hope this helps somehow

Congrats, you are going home for good! To answer your questions:

 1.) Since pag nagparenew ng passport, they give back the old one and does not cancel it until the replacement is claimed, I think you can travel using the old passport. But then, you need to coordinate with the embassy regarding claiming the new passport in the Philippines. lam mo na madalas palpak sila. Usually naman 30 days or even before that, the new passport will be ready. May naka experience 3 weeks lang pero rare case.

2.) 45 kilos for each adult plus 10 Kg for burgundy priviledge club holder and 15 Kg for silver)  and 10 kilos for infants (up to 24 months). Up to 10 kilos carry on...stroller not counted sa weight, kukunin na sya pagbigay ng boarding pass sa gate. so that's just before you take the bus.

3.) 32 weeks.  Colleague ko she travelled at 32 weeks but she has to sign a waiver and that they will pay fees related to diverting the plane/ emergency landing related to her pregnancy.  Contact Qatar Airways or your agent to be sure.
