Hi mga sis.. ask ko po sana kung meron nakapag bakasyon from here to Dubai. Plan kasi namin dun mag new year with my baby and my husband. ano po b requirements nila? sabi upon arrival daw s dubai airport dun n lang puede kumuha. pls help naman po. thank you in advance.

if your husband's visa category is included in the list of those jobs that can enter dubai with visa on arrival, you don't need to pre-arranged visa. examples of visa that can enter dubai with visa on arrival: engineer, architect, accountant- basically the holders of prefessional visas. now, there's a grey area example: supervisor - hindi kasi clear yan kung supervisor ng ano. madali naman mag-apply ng visaif ever. nagproprocess ang emirates airlines . 3 days ang processing. i forgot na how much. just call emirates.

mga sis my alam ba kayo magandang venue mag 1 year. birthday kasi yung baby ko bukod sa mga mcdonalds ano pa kaya maganda venue na mura thanks february birtday ng baby ko

sa gondolania nag first bday babies ko. i chose it kasi malaki sya. estimate mo muna number of guests before choosing a venue.  Kasi maliliit ang ibang venue. for example nakipagbirthday ako dati sa jungle zone, grabe, nasa hagdan na yong ibang guests dahil sobrang dami. maliit din sa fun city at sa ray's reef. ang inihaw republik may venue daw sila pero mahal din eh and i'm not happy dun sa catering nila with my sons' bday.

medyo mahal nga sa gondolania. unlike for example sa jungle zone, ang per head ng kids included na ang unli rides, party room and there's a choice if with kids' meal or without. Sa gondolania, you pay for the party (includes games and prizes), you also pay for the party room, mandatory yong kids' meal which is QR12/head, min of 30 kids. i also got the optional face painter, 1 mascot appearance and 30 fun cards na pinagkaguluhan talaga. grabe mga kids, hindi pa masaya sa qr 25 na fun card, hinahanap yong wristband which is unli rides but that's QR 60/head. my gosh na stress ako sa kids.  "walang wrist band?" "magkano yan?" "25 lang, pahingi pa ng isa" but it was fun...

Hello mga sisters!  I am new here though i have been browsing for quite sometime, this is my first time to post.  I was interviewed by a prospective employer here in Manila last saturday.  The job offer is 3,000 QAR, though the wife of the chairman who interviewed me said i can still negotiate. The job is marketing executive cum secretary.  The company operation is diversed, they have 18 satellite offices in India, Kuwait, UAE, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and Philippines.  The chairman and the wife were in the Philippines conducting interviews for deployment in their satellite offices.  The position offered to me will be based in Doha Qatar.  Since one of their business is recruitment, they are in need of marketing executive and at the same time secretary to do marketing field work to source jobs in qatar for possible deployment of their pooled manpower. 

This is not my first time to do marketing field work but since Qatar is an Arab country, what are the things that you can advice me.  This is not my first time to work overseas too, i had 7 years working experience in a european country.

Di ba mahirap dyan mga sister maging marketing executive doing field work?
What's the ideal offer for marketing secretary ( i know 3QAR is way too low, i read some earn around 5,000 to 15,000 QAR)
what are the other terms i should negotiate
This is a good job opportunity not just for me but for our fellow filipino ( if i can negotiate good contracts from good employers and i can feed that to their philippine recruitment office ), i can in a way help filipino get good employment in qatar since i will be the once sourcing the contracts from qatar companies

Question naman mga sissies.. pag ba naisubmit na ng company ang documents for processing para sa transfer ng Visit to Working Visa.. pwede pa kaya maextend ang existing visit visa? Kasi ang visa ng sis ko till january nalang, gusto ko sana iextend till end ng january para sure na di kami magbabayad ng penalty, may offer na siya sa isang company at sabi ng company on process na raw papers pero di nila alam when lalabas.. paano kung dumating na yung expiry date ng visa niya tapos di pa natatransfer? Kaya para sure sana extend nalang namin ni hubby agad.. para mahaba pa yung time ng paghihintay... possible kaya yun?

pwede pa extend yan sis. hanggang di pa nata transfer yan.
make sure sa company na may offer ang sis mo kung may available visa ba sila for female philippines national. mabilis lang yun pag ganun. transfer itself can only take one day. max 2 days. (kung may available visa na sila)
minsan kasi meron sila pero pang lalake naman,so papaltan pa nila ng babae which tooks soo long.
meron naman wala silang available visa, i aapply pa. matagal rin yan.
word of advice give only up to 2 weeks for processing of visa. pag wala pa lumipat na sya. mahirap sis maabutan na mapaso na yung visit visa nya na wala pa palang working visa.

Yun nga sabi ko kay hubby pag wala pa rin 2days before the expiry date iextend nalang namin sister ko ng another 2weeks, kasi in 2weeks time from the expiry date ng visa niya eh pauwi na rin kami ng pinas, at isasama nalang namin siya pauwi, di namin siya pwede iwanan dito ng di naayos ang visa niya..

Actually 2weeks na rin since nagsign siya ng offer letter, Di na rin siya naghahanap ng iba pa,kasi pag di siya natuloy dito uwi nalang din muna siya kasi kulang na rin kami sa oras lalo na at pauwi din kami.

Diba ang nauuna is working visa? then gagawing residence permit? tataka lang ako kasi sabi residence permit na raw inaayos eh nasa amin pa original passport ng sis ko at di rin sila humihingi ng NOC from the sponsor which is my husband nga..

Sis kung wala pa NOC ibig sabihin hindi pa nila naayos kasi yung letter at passport yung unang hinihingi namin  pag nagpaprocess kami ng mga new hire's visa or RP

Thanks sis. Pero pagkakaexplain naman sa akin (ni hubby lang ) nauuna daw talaga ang working permit,pag meron na raw yun tsaka naman itatransfer sa RP?. kaya ako naguguluhan sa kanila kasi ang alam ko RP need na dapat nila ang passport at NOC. anyway, what do you mean by filipina visa pala?

Since nareached na namin ang maximum number of months na stay ng sis ko dito, sinubukan namin yung sinasabi nilang magpaapprove daw sa GM ng immigration, kasi last time, sobrang pakiusapan na kami na eextend ang visa niya, tapos may nakasabay din kaming ganon na nakadalawang pila at lipat bago nakatagpo ng mabait na immigration officer na mageextend ng visa nila, so ang ginawa namin, early in the morning, kasama ng extension form,umakyat kami sa 1st floor gate 1 sa immigration office sa Gharaffa.. then inabot namin yung form sa isang mama, nakaall-white na matanda, Bangladeshe ata.. tapos inexplain ko sa kanya papaextend pa sana kami ng ilang weeks, maya maya binalik na niya sa amin form may pirma na Tapos punta na kami sa Gate 4, at presto,naextend na visa ng sis ko wala ng tanong tanong yung araba..

^same nangyari sa sis in law ko. after 6 mos na extend pa namin sya ng 1 month. pero company na nya nakipag usap sa immigration. nakiusap for another 1 month. na approve rin.

filipina visa means: sa bawat company may mga visa na sila ready.
visas are arraged with nationality, gender at profession yan

for example ang visa na meron lang ang company ay
2 indian male technician,
1 british male manager,
3 sri lanka female sales

gusto mag ha hire ng filipina secretary,
e since walang visa na filipino ang gagawin nila mag aapply sila for a philippine female secretary na visa.
and that process takes toooooo long nowadays. kasi maraming requirements pag sa philippine nationality.

pero for example meron ang company na available
2 filipino male technician
gusto mag hire ng pinay ang gagawin lang nila i aapply nila na mapaltan yung gender from male to female at saka yung profession matagal rin to bago ma approbahan.

so maganda na meron na visa ready ang company na pinay visa.

^^ Tama si sis ms_ldr, baka ang ginagawa pa lang ngayonb nung company  ay nag aaply pa lang sila ng Filipina visa dahil wala pa sila ready visa para sa kanya..

Yung unang sinabi ko ay para yun sa company na may ready filipina visa na. Pero once na meron na sila availbable visa una talaga hinahanap yung passport and/or NOC.

^Hi Sis, actually, di pa nangyayari dahil di pa nagkakaron ng war and knocked on wood, wag naman sana.. pero tulad ng nabangit ko, me pagkaparanoid lang kami ni hubby and we are tryingto balance things na mas lamang kami na nasa safe side,we can never tell.  Usually,pag nagkakaroon ng civil war, ang unang nangyayari is nililikas at lumilikas ang mga tao, and magpifreeze ng account will follow for some reasons.. As mentioned nga ni father sa mass nung Jan. 1, sabi niya lets pray na wag tayong madamay sa gulo ng Iran at US kasi ang lapit lang natin, so things like that ang mga kinoconsider namin ni hubby, kaya we don't really keep our savings dito   share ko lang, I have a friend, nung nagwowork pa lang siya sa saudi,lagi niyang inaalam ang repatration plan ng company, he worked in a company before na pagnagkaroon ng war,nililikas ng company ang employees nila with their family from ex. Qatar to US then US to Pinas, usually kasi sa ibang company Qatar to Pinas agad, pero sila, jump muna sa US.. ang luckily, my husband is working in a company na may magandang repatration plan. Anyway, isa lang naman to sa major reason bat di kami nagiinvest or nagsisave dito.. pero sabi mo nga, Qatar ang pinakamayaman sa middle east at neutral ang bansang eto so we are also praying na mag stay nga tayo ng matagal pa dito lalo na at we are also looking forward sa pagboom ng construction for FIFA 2012

Basta for us, focus muna namin is to earn, save and invest habang maayos pa ang work namin dito, kaya tumambay din tayo dun sa kabilang thread hehe balitaan mo ako about mutual fund, kasi di ko maintidihan talaga

Sis, hindi ko alam kung anong repatriation plan sa company nila hubby but most of their employees are non-asians (americans, brits etc) so baka ok naman; I work in a government company where the Sheika plans to hold her office so siguro ok rin repatriation plan sa amin. Actually, matindi ang  security sa offcie kapag nasa amin either/ both Sheika & Emir, kahit employees eh dumadaan sa 'xray security"

Naku wala rin ako alam sa mutual fund hehe  As of now, we're in real estate investment kaya dun muna ako focus sa pag research. Lately, nagre research na rin ako tungkol sa emergency fund at life insurance, although may educational plan na yun eldest child namin.

If your salary is credited to a bank in Qatar...your employer is obliged to inform the bank once you turned in your resignation-that is a standard cause in the salary letter. If you have cards, loans and other liabilities, the bank will freeze an amount in the account corresponding to your liabilities...so if you have more liabilities than savings, they will freeze everything to the last dirham, including you end of service benefits until you are able to provide a new salary letter from your new employer and you can't go home until you pay all your liabilities...

re repatriation...all employers are responsible for repatriation of employees as per the labor law. Now it just depends on how far your employer will go.  Normally, if you resign, you should be given a ticket to go home. and your family if you are on family status... If the employee dies, the remains should be sent home by the employer.  War is another thing.  From experience, Multinationals and big companies have a very proactive SOP in cases of wars and insurgencies.  They do not wait until the situation gets worse.  Usually, at certain level of threats, they will send the families home firsts then at another level, the employees...For example, my company moved out the families from our Bahrain Office because of what happened there...  Later on all expats were transfered to Qatar and UAE Offices.  In my husband's company, when one of his colleagues died they even provided an escort to the wife and kids when they went home to make sure everyhting will be well until they reach home.
