Affordable and sturdy luggages?

foldable tote meron kami palagi nyan kasi palaging meron excess kasi super strict talaga sa budget airlines.. what we have are those winnie the pooh bags na parang sako yung material.. and those are very sturdy.. toiletries lang talaga nakalagay sa plastic container namin.. the rest we roll up para maximize ang space..

sis,  I havent tried the luggage of American Tourister.  Although my dad has the laptop bag and its been 5 years na.  Sturdy naman.

if you will read my previous post, my 2nd purchase of world traveller ang bumigay.  while yung luma style naman ang hindi. 

Maybe it really depends on the frequency of use. 

With my samsonite now  kasi halos bahay ko na sya.

parang wala kasi sa duget ngayon ang Samsonite. And nasasaktan ako pag nakikita kong binabalibag lang ang maleta sa airport. tapos pagka kuha ko sa conveyor ang dumi dumi na. minsan basa pa.

I am using American Tourister that I bought 3 years ago. It is light without stuffs inside as before my max baggage allowance is 20kg lang. I think nasa 1kg lang siya and it is made of canvas/cloth. Super durable siya and I can say it was already overused and abused sa mga bagahe ko lalo na kapag pauwi na ako ng pinas!

I just recently bought Roxy handcarry trolley bag, I am not sure how durable Roxy are pero kasi I always find luggage na kakaiba like colors and designs para alam ko agad sa akin yun.

bought a Samsonite luggage recently. kinda mahal but 10 years international warranty kaya i gave in. Hope hindi naman ako matanggalan ng gulo, hehe! iiyak talaga ako. i bought it at 10k. don't know ilang KG e basta i got the medium size.

correct sis pero di ba maski medyo mahal kung matibay e di sulit.  ano ba talaga ang sulit american tourister, samsonite or echolac?

For me, matibay talaga Samsonite pero mabigat pa rin siya kahit na lighter material na ang ginagamit nila compared to before. Delsey for me is lighter and the quality is not bad.

The lightest luggage in the market right now are the Salsa series of Rimowas (pronounced as RimoVas). They're sturdy too. But they're not affordable and are more expensive than Samsonites.

i wanted one (before) but my wallet is saying otherwise.

^sis, hindi naman. Between my hubby and myself we've had a dozen plus both domestic and international trips using our Rimowas. Though may konting scratches, they're not the deep ones you'd expect.

Hindi ba talaga matibay ang Elle mga sis? Just bought one kasi. Always wanted one and now that I bought it na, seems like bad ang reviews nya.

They scratch easily, but that is the case with all kinds of luggage.
However, most Rimowa scratches are easily cleared off with Wipe Out (that is what the Rockwell store uses).

But of course, there will be deep scratches.  The Rimowa scratches do not show white underneath.. from the usual distance you will not see these.

I am very  satisfied with the maneuverability and weight of the Rimowas.
I have given away all my Samsonites.   

Now,  accdg to the Tumi SA at The City of Dreams store.. their Rimowa look-alikes have the same technology (daw).  I noticed that these cost about 30-40% less than the Rimowas.
