has anyone heard of the dish called "poke-poke"? its an ilocano viand made of eggplant, bagoong, lots of onions and egg.

i didn't know nait's called poke poke.  salad na talong ang tawag namin. hehe

my kids would coat the oreo in pancake batter then fry it. eat it with vanilla ice cream!  ayan favorite merienda nila yan.

^^ginagawa ko to for my daughter tawag nya hopia! dikdikin the oreo cookies then lagay the panacake batter sa heated pan then top with oreo then pancake batter ulit.

parang ilocano version ng 'pork and beans' wala nga lang pork

ginisang Maling-
 saute garlic
onion and tomatoes (cut into cubes)
add patis and pour water
pagkumulo na put maling(cut into cubes)

style ginisang corned beef pero may sabaw-pag sawa na kayo fried maling

Spicy krispy kangkong with milk

bawang
sibuyas
kamatis
luya
evaporated milk
siling haba (gayatin)
kangkong
ginisa mix
chicharon (optional)
patis

Igisa muna ang luya. Then bawang, sibuyas at kamatis.
Then ginayat na siling haba, then ginisa mix
Then evaporated milk. Pakuluan.
Ihulog na ang kangkong then patis to taste

Served with durog na chicharon on top.

Sarap nito fave na ng hubby ko to di talaga sya mahilig sa gulay pero pag ito luto ko nakain sya. Naghahalo ang tamis, anghang at alat

depende sa dami ng kangkong mo sis. Pag isang tangkay kalahati nung maliit na can ng evap milk. Pag dalawang kangkong pwede isang can nung maliit.

Yah this is good also for appetizer kasi tinuro ko sa officemate ko tong recipe na to then ginagawa daw pulutan ng hubby nya
