my son requested that he celebrate his birthday sa school and most likely the theme is going to be angry birds. since lunchtime ang celebration, i'm planning to serve rice instead if the usual spaghetti. for the viands, am thinking of chicken fingers and barbeque or lumpia shanghai. for dessert, i plan to buy assorted pastries from contis.

@marose, i agree na so hard to think of non-character theme that kids can relate too. i myself dont like having character themes, bit its so hard cause the kids are just into it, and my son insist on what he prefers too. pag naman nag theme ng di nila gusto and kilala, they migt not appreciate it! you said, you need to stick to simple parties,

moms like us but cant help to really plan for our kids special day! i know you would agree that school parties are much cost efficient than outside parties

My eldest daughter will celebrate her 4th birthday at school next week, october 18..

Theme: tinkerbell
Host: jen belen
Cake and cookie lollies: kitchen krafts
Balloons and decors: DIY nalang siguro
Food: KFC-snack box with spoonfuls desserts for the kids and Fully loaded meal for the teachers.
Souvenirs: packed gummy bears from gummiehaven
We decided to give snack box from KFC nalang since hindi naman masyadong nagagalaw ng kids yung food from previous parties (jollibee/mcdo's spag with chicken). Sayang lang. Usually desserts lang daw nagagalaw according to my daughter's teachers..

For souvenirs and prizes, we don't want to give puzzles, coloring book,and other toys. Usually kasi, tinatapon or iniignore lang ng kids yun after the party. We decided to give nalang what kids love: bubbles, gummy bears, candies, marshmallows, chocolates and other foods. For sure, hindi maiignore ng kids yun after party. Hehe..

and question sissies where can I buy paper food boxes. para instead of styro (in case ako ang mag prepare ng food) dun ko na lang ilalagay para environment-friendly.. tia

^in divi and quiapo (don't know Lang the exact place). But if you don't want to go all the way there, you can check in chocolate lovers in QC. I got the Chinese take out boxes from there for my son's baptism. I only need a little so it's useless to go all the way to divi and quiapo.

Napasabay sa no-classes yung birthday party ng son ko, pero buti na lang, hindi naman umulan nang malakas, kaya yung iba, pumunta pa rin

We served 1-pc Chicken Joy with Refresh drink and Fudgee bar lang, sobrang simple. Sa mga non-classmates and bantay, we gave Jolly Hotdog classic. Give-away was a Smurf coloring book / sticker book.

nagbibigay pa ba kayo sort of invitation cards to inform the classmates/parents na may party. Can I see samples sa mga meron. thanks.. november 2nd week na bday ng son ko. excited na sya.

^^i gave out personalized invitations. For my daughter's school party the other year, we had a Strawberry Shortcake theme. Then I prepared a cupcake decorating activity with personalized aprons..

I ordered it from the cake supplier. I like nga her pricing cause unlike with other DIY kits where each kid gets a set of icing, sa kanya communal. So I ordered 7 bags (already placed in a piping bag) then 30 bare cupcakes. She provided different candy toppers but I added extra too.

If you have a suki bakery there, baka you can arrange something similar. Ikaw na Lang bumili ng toppings.

How is their sitting arrangement? Cause during the party of S, they were seated in 1 long table (it was just a small class). If you can group them into 10s, you'll have 3 tables. Maybe you can allot 5-6 piping bags per table. They'll take turns in using them.

If you have baking skills nga, icing is very easy to make. You can buy store brought cupcakes or order it from the bakery.

When is T's party? I'm going to Chocolate Lovers 2nd week of Nov to get some items for
M's party. I can get you candy sprinkles and candy decors. Pa-ship ko na Lang sa yo.

^^aww thanks Als. I've talked to T's teacher, baka mahirapan daw kami since 28 yung kids sa classroom. but thanks for your advice. i'll definitely use them next year!:)

My daughter finally settled with bugs and friends theme party. I've ordered ministools from Handicrafts atbp. I'm excited na!

@Gelei- pinick up ko sa kfc yung snack box since malapit lang naman sa school ng daughter ko.. Pag pinadeliver kasi, add'l 10% pa daw..

I also gave out personalized invitations. This is to inform parents na they don't need to prepare snacks for their kids.

just finished my son's 6th bday at school..although bawal talaga party.i bought jollibee spaghetti for his classmates. angry birds ang theme...kaya i just put banner angry birds in his classroom then bought red ribbon cake with angry birds topper ... giveaways nya angry birds tumbler with full of imported chocolates inside like toblerone, milky way, snickers, hershey's, reese, etc.. simple lang pero very happy sila sa small bday celebration..very happy rin son ko ...

Pwede din kasi ako magbake ng cake if may nabibili sanang topper pero if not order na lang ako or bili sa red ribbon? thanks sis. Angry Birds din kasi gusto na theme ng son ko he is turning 4 this november. school celebration lang din. Nakabili na din ako pang give aways nya and I'm done with my DIY invitation. TIA
