As a pre-school teacher, I usually have birthdays celebrated weekly in school. 

My favorite was when a celebrant gave her classmates a "bento box"for snacks & souvenir na.  In it was a wrapped cupcake, fruits in a cup, gummi bears & choco milk in a container with divisions - like a bento box. There were also stickers & fun pencils inside.  Since all the items were individually wrapped, mess was limited.

The kids weren't pressured to eat everything because they could take home their snacks & loot naman in the container.  The next day, everyone used the container for their baon - sobrang cute.

Kids don't really eat much in school, cupcake and milk - ok na sila promise. 

It was just homemade, not OA na lootbag & food, but the kids loved it and it really made an impact to us teachers. 

Can't wait to copy it when my son has his party in school.

I'm glad i found this thread. Super helpful lahat ng posts. Malapit na din kasi magbday yung eldest ko sa school. And this is our first time so wala akong idea. After reading all your posts, nagkakaron na ko ng idea. Thanks sissies!

my son is turning 5 january next year and he's requesting to celebrate it on school. quite undecided if i will serve the usual kiddie party food: he wants spaghetti, cake and juice. i was thinking before i'll give them snack packs lang like cupcake and other goodies, then juice.

also, still have no idea if they allow programs. yung isang nephew ko kasi alam ko nagdadala lang ng food sa school eh. have to check on that also.

my daughter just celebrated her 5th bday in school last friday the theme she had chosen was "Cupcake tea Party" --thank goodness!

I love the theme so much for so many reasons: one, is that it was like they're just playing pretend! you know when little girls play 'tea party time' with their dolls and stuffed toys, we-my daughter and i- do that at home..so the thought of doing it with her classmates  really made the preps more exciting~! I was just a little afraid na ma-outcast mga boys hehe pero hindi naman..kasi i steered away from using too much PINK hehe
second reason - it was also an opportunity to teach the kids etiquette! how to use a napkin, drink/sip from a teacup, eat finger food, and all - aside from the usual table manners that they already practice

and the best reason - tea parties seem to be a fancy theme but this is actually the most  tipid party..because i just served store bought packed cookies and biscuits and served it on nice plates! their "tea" was just apple cranberry juice.

ang masaya pa - hindi nahirapan sina teacher to remind the kids to eat/finish their plate kasi nga the foods that were served are all their favorites ba naman! kuha sila ng kuha..tuwang tuwa..haha but i know, yes --sugar....pero party naman eh..so ok lang yun!

ang only hassle (medyo lang naman ) sa part ko was bringing the teacups,saucers, tea pot, cake trays and serving plates, pati mga napkin and napkin rings i provided. pero okay lang since may sasakyan naman and may katulong mag-pack up after the party

I really enjoyed planning this  Tea Party and my daughter loved it! All her classmates enjoyed! One sweet little boy kept on saying and saying "teacher, this is the best party ever!!" hehe  and lastly, i got a thumbs up from teacher..fun and cute theme daw plus na-puri pa mga DIY crafts na pinaghirapan ko (haha hindi kasi ako ma-DIY talaga by nature)

^Sam, We're planning to have a tea party as well Kaso ang gusto ni maldits ay may Angelina Ballerina or Gnomeo and Juliet na kasama. Ang ayoko din kasi yung bibili pa ng food tapos di naman nila mauubos Mas maganda na puro sweets yung iserve. Since katapat namin Shoppersville, plan ko dun bumili nung mga cakes/ brownies. Hindi ko lang alam pano ko isasali si Angelina o kaya si Gnomeo and Juliet. Kaloka!

nikz!! Nako kung ako malapit lang sa shoppersville, dun ko na din lahat binili ng kailangan ko! Super mura ng price compared sa mga bakeries dito sa area namin.

Go sa tea party! Enjoy talaga mga kids dahil nga puro sweets saka tuwa din sila i suppose coz they get to use grown up things like cups, etc..

Kapag ganitong age talaga nakakabaliw magplan ng party kasi ang demanding na nila noh?? Ma-detalye pa, they really know what they want. goodluck sa pag-incorporate ng mga themes na gusto ni maldits mo hehe..

anyway, my eldest son will be celebrating his 5th birthday tom in school w/ his classmates. we decided last minute to celebrate his birthday in school kasi nga sa gastusin, so i only have 4days in preps... so here it is...

AHIA'S 5TH BDAY
THEME: Angry birds
FOOD and entertainment: Jollibee. spag and chicken for the kids, chicken and rice for ahia, with juice. then for the adults: chicken-rice-spag-coke-peach mango pie
Tarp: personalized small lang.
balloons: included in the jollibee package
giveaway: angrybirds envelope w/ angrybird school supplies inside. i'm still thinking if i can still add goodies para kumapal pa lalo. w/ nametag for each envelope para personalized kahit papano.
prizes: included in the jollibee package plus add na lang ako few major prizes na angry birds
attire: wala pa. im thinking of angry birds shirts and hat (kung kaya pa ng time and budget - coding ako today tom na ang party)
cake and cupcakes - by ms gervy including some of ahia's toys to be part of the design in the main cake
pinata - 3D pinata of angry birds
invite - diecut invite na angry birds.

^ yup sis! i remembered you nga kasi same month bday ng kids natin diba? and tita gervy kasi is the closest cake maker within my son's school area that i can pick up the cake an hour before the party. as in 5mins lang. so excited na nga ang celebrant.

Same question sis, meron ba kayo alam na pwedeng bilihan ng bentobox. Next month na kasi bday ng eldest ko. San kayo ako pwede pagawa ng cake with 15 cupcakes lang, pero affordable and masarap. Im in makati area, near shopwise. Help po!

my son will celebrate his 4th bday on sept 28. less than 30 mins lang ang time. i plan on having cupcake decorating activity, baka pwede extend and time since pwedeng maging part ng activity nila sa school but will still check sa teacher nya. help naman mga sis na pwede maging supplier ng cupcakes. TIA

^ sis, for my kids parties last yr, we did cupcake decorating activity.  we used the lemon squares dream.  we removed it na from the cup and put it in see through containers.  the kids are just thrilled to decorate it.   we used butter icing na gawa ng cousin ko, then i bought toppings from the grocery and baking supply stores.  it was really fun for the kids.  and onlhy cost little.

Hi mommies!  I observed in school parties that pre-schoolers cannot finish even half of a spaghetti and fried chicken meal.  Is it alright if I just serve the personal pizza size and juice among 5 year olds?  Mas priority naman nila loot bags than food diba? : )

^ Mas okay ang pizza, I think.  In fact, I am thinking of a pizza party for my little boys' school party next year.  

True about not being able to finish spaghetti and chicken meal sets.  Most of the time, inuuwi na lang ng yaya ang natirang food.

During the party of my daughter's classmate they ordered 2 big pizzas from yellow cab. They had it sliced into squares. Then they also served some chicken fingers and mini corn dogs. The kids enjoyed it cause parang pica pica Lang yung food.

Wookies, for my daughter's school party, I requested my cake supplier to provide cupcake decorating kits. I think they spent around 15-20mins doing that activity then after eating time na.
