^a bit on the breading part. but you can do it the night before the party and fry it the next day. another option is to buy the pre-breaded ones from the grocery. but i like making it from scratch at least i know how it tastes.

Share ko lang, we celebrated Rainie's 5th birthday sa school niya.  9 kids and 4 staff.  Simple lang.  We ordered from Jollibee - chicken and spaghetti.  We transferred this to microwaveable plastic containers.  Kasi ayaw din ng school nila ang styro.  Nilagyan lang namin ng sticker that says, "A Rainie day is a happy day. It's Rainie's 5th Birthday." with Rainie's picture. Para naman kahit paano, may personal touch. We bought individually wrapped cupcakes.  We opened one for Rainie, stuck a candle at yun na ang kanyang birthday cup"cake."  As for the "lootbag," nakahanap ako sa SM ng 5 for P60 drinking glasses na hard plastic.  Eto yung ginamit naming containers then we put in candies, wrapped them in Japanese paper.  Happy naman ang mga kids and syempre, happy si Rainie.

depends on how much time you're given.

for my daughter's school party tom, we were given only an hour. so most likely 30mins of that is for eating, then the other 30 mins, i prepared cupcake deocrating activity for them

sa akin, mukhang maluwag naman ang teacher... ok lang daw kung magpa-games ako...

naghahanap ako ng affordable na balloon twisting makati/manila area sana... parecommend please.

tapos yung son ko, ang request nya is dunkin donut... instead of cupcake... mas tipid!

ano ba dapat ko iexpect for a pre school party?
hnd naman mahigpit sa school ng boys ko, and willing sila ilaan yung 2hrs for the whole party...

ano ba mga dapat ko ihandang activities...nangangarag na ko...
buzz lightyear star command ang theme and naka order na din ako ng customized cake from swirls and sprinkles

the only activity i planned is DIY cupcake...ano pa kaya...di kaya mastress ang mga bata kapag daming gagawin?

ang menu ko for the kids are:

1 slice of pizza and dutchmill fruit drink
platter of cookies, oreo, cereal snack...
grapes on every table

ok na kaya yun?

one more thing is should i use paper plates or styro for the pizza?
should i use ziplock for the cookies oreo and cereals? so they'll have separate snacks na at di sila mag agawan?

pinata or balloon burst? or masyado nang OA, wag nalang?

mas ok ba na home cook yun food or order na lang sa fastfood ang handa sa school party?? [textspeak!] kaya ang maslike ng kids? ,,,
budget is not a problem to me naman kasi konti lang naman sila sa school,,12 kids and 2 teachers.
i take in consideration kasi yun pagprepare ng food baka magkaroon ng doubts ang parents sa homecook sa pagprep,,
pag fast food naman,,what if ayaw ng parents ang mga fastfood meal sa anak nila???

@chellesunshine, I prefer home-cooked food.  I have nothing against fast food but it's just not me to serve pre-packed food from Jollibee, McDo or a fast food resto. Parang walang personal touch.   And, may risk din of food poisoning, however remote that may be.  Let's face it.  We don't see how they prepare those pre-packed meals.

I prepared, cooked and packed the food myself so I was sure of the quality and standard (in terms of hygiene) of the food that what was served to the kids.

sis chellesunshine, i'm also preparing my eldest son's 4th bday school party. Very simple lang din. Nung 2nd bday nya, i just ordered mcdonalds and delivered to his school. This time, I decided to prepare home cooked-food for his party since his class is in the afternoon. Tsaka, naka ilang beses na kami naka experience sa Jollibee na sa sobrang init ng chicken natutunaw yung styro  kaya hindi ko na pinapakain sa kid ko. this happens sa take out, delivery and drive thru. Unlike sa mcdo na even spag they put it in a box container with paper. haaay...

So far, here's what we plan to do for his bday:
Theme: Toy Story
Invite: ready made 2fold invite
Food: Baked mac, hotdog or cheesestix, cupcake, bottled /tetra juice
giveaway: personalized drawstringbag with goodies. ng una gusto ko sana tote bag na parang ecobag, pero sa tingin ko mas useful sa age nila yung drawstring.

^Thanks sis! Share the pics of your son's school party, ha. for the cheese sticks, i added chopped up asparagus. the kids ate them without realizing there are veggies inside 

Yesterday, my friend's son had his school party. she served solo mini pizzas. And she said it was a hit with the kids as well. I think she ordered them from Pizza Frederico's or something. Less than Php40 a piece and they are placed already in mini pizza boxes. She just ordered spaghetti from mcdo to go with the pizza. She didnt have time to cook.   

Another food option are the mini-doughnuts from Krispy Kreme. It's a good alternative to cupcakes & cakes without giving the kids' too much sugar-high.
