Best Horror Movies

not exactly the scariest, pero pwedeng gusto nyo based on story, plot twist, ending, etc.

mine are:

shutter (thai version) - overall, i love the story and how it developed. there are also some good scary scenes. di ako masyadong matatakutin sa mga horror movies pero sa mga asian horrors na napanood ko, this is my favorite.

6th sense - good plot twist and ending. i remember watching it alone sa sinehan na konting tao.

paranormal activity - sobrang natakot ako dito kasi i watched it alone (hubby's already sleeping) at around 10-12 pm, lights out and i was on the second floor. our stairs has its own share of "pagpaparamdam" kaya nung last part na footsteps na lang ang naririnig habang umaakyat sa hagdan, di ko na kinaya. my imagination got the better of me kasi naiimagine ko yung hagdanan namin. kinabukasan ko na lang pinanood yung ending. (i watched the alternate-kate-smiling-like-a-devil ending)

the original versions of The Eye and Shutter.... gusto ko ang plot and twist ng story nila...

sa The Eye, yung scary moment for me is yung nasa elevator ang bidang babae and may mumu sa likod nya hehe....

sa Shutter naman... scariest moment is yung ending... yung pinakita na pasan nung bidang lalake yung spirit ng ex nya....  goosebumps!

pinaka memorable for me yung 6th sense and the others kase sobrang ganda ng twist. not the usually aswang movies.

Night of the living dead - bata pa ako nung napanood ko to pero hanggang ngayon takot pa din ako, parang feeling ko isa ako sa mga survivor na nandoon.

The Orphan - Although this one is more of suspense than horror, gusto ko yung story nya kasi medyo kakaiba.

i'd say, The Ring.  bukod sa "gulat factor", the story was totally disturbing.  hindi ako nakatulog ng ilang araw.  my bf, naumpisahan niya then hindi niya tinapos.  until now ayaw niyang panoorin.

I love watching Horror/Suspense movies. Too bad my friends are not into this kind of movies so I would end up watching alone, hehe! These are just some of my best list:

1. The Exorcism of Emily Rose - nawalan ako ng peace of mind dun sa contortions scenes ni Emily. That's disturbing! The film is also based on a true story although hindi rin confirmed if she's really possessed or mentally ill.

2. The Others - I don't know pero this movie made an impact on me and feeling ko nakakarelate ako eventhough I'm still alive haha! Feeling ko kasi if I die, hindi ko agad maaaccept na dead na ko.

3. Ring, Ju-on: The Grudge, The Eye, Shutter - after watching these films, naglielow muna ko manood ng mga Asian horror movies haha! Really really disturbing and scary so I think I've had enough - at least for now hehe! And for me creepiest, scariest yung mga horror characters nito (Sadako, Kayako, that creepy kid! waaahh!). Yung tipong maiimagine mo kung ikaw lang mag-isa sa bahay with the lights off hehe.

^ rakirod! pwede na tayo mag movie marathon! i love the exorcism of emily rose din saka the others! galing talaga. Ill just add drag me to hell, even if mejo comic yung ibang scene nya, it was quite exhausting to watch it sa cinema kase screamfest talaga. And i love justin long. Haha!

 Sa local, I like patayin sa sindak si barbara. Galing ni Dawn dun and she's so beautiful. Plus i love antoinette taus's doll house sa movie.. I still wish i have one of those.

i must agree dun sa Exorcism of Emily Rose.  kainis nga at pinanood ko pa yun hindi na ako nadala sa Exorcist.  

gusto ko din yung The Others.  ganda ng twist sa story that you end up wondering kung buhay ka pa ba or baka mumu ka na din hindi mo lang alam.

sa local, "Halimaw sa banga" creeped me out.  until now nakakatakot pa din siya para sakin.

I remember "The Others", mag-isa lang din ako nanood, sa sinehan pa.  Ang ganda ng story, at that time, talagang kakaiba pa yung plot kaya hahanga ka.

Hula ka ng hula kung ano ba talaga or sino ba talaga, at the end, mali parin ang hula mo.  Very nice.

the exorcist, good acting, nice makeup, generally excellent horror film

the grudge 1 and 2, creepy and horrifying, ang di lang maganda sa kanila are the plotlines or the lack of a decent plot seemingly, sometimes confusing, kind predictable kung kailan lalabas ang momo, pero i admit sobrang creepy talaga ng mga ghosts dito.

may mas creepy pa ba sa the grudge and the ring japanese version?.. for me ito na yung uber scary...

1. The Others - the film that made me awake over night. Hindi ako makatulog sa kakaisip na baka tabihan ako nila.

2. Scream (original)- i like the "hula who the killer is?" thing.
3. 6th Sense - i like the story. same with "the others", you will keep on thinking naisahan ka.hehe
4. The Ring (japanese) - napaka creepy, though the Hollywood version sa mga effects magaling.
5. Exorcist - hindi ko kaya yong nag crawl ng nakatihaya!

OT: alam niyo po ba kung san makakahanap ng copy ng the eye (original) and shutter (thai version)? matagal ko na kasi gusto mapanood yung original version ng shutter, and gusto ko naman idagdag yung the eye sa collection ko :D

andami pala natakot sa 6th sense... for me naman, i loved this flick kasi parang siya yung isa sa mga unang may striking twist and storya (and the rest followed nalang)... namangha ako sa istorya imbes na matakot.

ang scary for me (in order): the ring (lintek na mga hapon yan, ang galing manakot, hindi ako makapunta sa anumang parte ng house ng mag isa); texas chainsaw (jessica biel & friends; the thought of being butchered scared me a lot); exorcism of emily rose (nakakatakot the girl who played emily, mukhang sinaniban talaga; for some reason which i can't seem to find, natakot ako sa blessed virgin na scene)

^ i remember after watching exorcism of emily rose, nagising ako ng madaling araw and when i looked at my cellphone, it's 3 am. Lol! tinanong ko din yung mga friends ko who watched it with me, ganun din sila, nagising ng 3 am.
