im planning to take my ielts on july.. i got my applicaition form already from british council.. ok din ba sa idp mag submit??

thanks for posting some websites with practice tests.. do i need to attedn the 1 day whole day workshop they offer (idp and british council)?

done with the speaking test. i hope i'll get the score that i need, although i'm not that confident with my answers.

@rave. Ok lang yan sis. Ako din na mental block ako dun sa isang sobrang daling tanong sa speaking. Antagal ko nakasagot at mali mali na yng english ko. Binawi ko na lang sa ibang questions. By God's grace nakapasa naman.

@kikay, sa IDP ako nag submit ang application form. Nagdownload lang ako from their website. Nag-attend ako ng workshop to boost my confidence and pangtulong na din kase me mga tips na ibibigay yung lecturer not only sa exam but on the whole procedure itself. Wala na din kase akong time para mag-enroll sa mga review centers kaya dun na lang.

@ sis ruche--thanks ha.. idp na lang kasi mas malapit sa akin para pag me sat na wala ako work i can go sa library nila to self study.. hindi ko maaford magbayad ng additional 5k for review na hindi ko din ma maximize..

@Rave. May 26 ako nagtake ng exam sis. 13 days after yung results which is today.

Goodluck sa inyo sis! Basta wag lang kayo magpanic. I-manage nyo yung time lalo sa writing kase 2 parts yun di ba? Meron din akong hinulaan sa listening kase di ko naintindihan yung ibang words. It's better to guess than leaving blank answers. Malay mo tama yung hula mo. hehe.  And most importantly, pray, pray and pray.

@kikai. Ako din sis namamahalan sa 5k . Yung workshop naman is 2k lang. Pero depende na sa yo sis. If confident ka naman at di naman mashado mataas yung kelangan mong scores, pede namang self study na lang.

Sorry Sis, can't remember the name. Di ko na natandaan kase nga sobrang kaba ko nun kaya nga nag mental block ako sa first part pa lang. Pero mukha shang pinay na nasa 50s na. Ala sha ganong additional questions. Parang binabasa lang nya kung ano yng mga questions dun sa topic card.

based sa mga nababasa ko sa ibang forum meron din sis.. since we are more familiar with american english rather than british english.. as i start my self review... im surprised with some simple terms like crib (american) cot (british) tipong ganyan difference..

@Filipinasadhart, you may check the canadian immigration website for the required english proficiency. Your ielts score should have corresponding points which you need to add up to see if you get the pass mark.

hi sisses.. if in case, i wasn't successful on my first take (knock on the wood), is it true that I can retake after 3 months? I've read somewhere kasi na after 3 months pa raw pwede mkpag-retake.. Moreover, pag nagretake ba, consider retaking all the modules? KAsi sa TOEFL, kung alin lang yung hindi ka nakaabot na score, for example sa listening lang, pwedeng sa second take mo, sa listening ka na lang magFocus.. Please enlighten me naman.. TIA!

^no, you don't have to wait for 3 months, you can retake it anytime. you also need to take all the modules.

Sana hindi umiral ang pagka kaba ko pag nag take na ko nito Pag nag aapply kasi ako dati, a day before ng interview nagbabasa basa ako. Minsan ang nasasagot ko sa questions eh yung nabasa ko hahaha! 2yrs lang po ang validity nito right? Sa IELTS / TOEFL?

^yes po, 2 years ang validity. ako rin nung speaking test sobrang kabado, parang ayaw humakbang ng mga paa ko papuntang entrance nung building. hehe! pero habang naghihintay akong tawagin, nagpray na lang ako tapos nung turn ko na, nawala na kaba ko. good luck po!

sobrang nakakakaba talaga yun time ng speaking test ko buti na lang nataon ako sa British. Mabait yun examiner ko. Listening test naku ang bilis imagine ang laki laki ng ballroom ng hotel tapos medyo sabog pa un pa un speaker. akala ko may headset bawat isa un pala hindi kase ang mahal ng binayad ko eh 1st time ko pa naman. sa wakas natapos na din paghihirap ko.
