best health card in terms of service and payments

hi mga sis, meron kaya health provider na nag-aaccept ng age 70 and up? mother ko kasi turned 70 last year, she used to be my extended dependent in our company kaso til 70 lang ang limit. gusto ko siya kuhaan ulit kasi laking tulong siya esp sa consultations and labs.

^^yung 65 yata sis, for renewing members yun, like existing card holder ka nila and you are 60 years old, you can still renew up to the age of 65. Pero for new application they don't accept na if you are over 60. Yun pagkakaintindi ko, but i hope im wrong gusto ko rin kasi kuhanan parents ko dito. Di ko pa lang nahaharap maginquire.

^^sis, merong health card providers that accept 70 years old and up, pero syempre mas malaki ang premium kasi high risk. kasi yung lola ng kaibigan ko eh may insurance premium na binabayaran for her. magtanong-tanong ka na lang, sis.

i think yung sinasabing hindi pwede ang 70 up ay para sa regular health card. mas mataas kasi premium pag 70 up

i already had company-provided fortune care, i-care and medicard. so far, ok naman ang fortune care and medicard. wag nyo na asahan ang i-care...crappy service.

Mag expire na ang Maxicare HMO plan ko this month, I stumbled upon the Medicard post and inquired for their membership fee, ang laki ng difference ng Medicard,  Mas mababa.  Bakit kaya?

^ hi sis, i have no problem with philcare talaga basta yong doctor na papacheck-upan mo is accredited to philcare..my parents also had their philcare card kasi dependent ko sila..this month nga lang na aksidente father ko and may excess kami na worth 236k tapos less 94k sa philcare ay 142k na lang binayaran namin in cash., mas malaki pa nga ang na covered ng philcare kesa philhealth eh..and may laiason officer talaga sila in every hospital at ambilis talaga nila at ina assist ka pa kung ano ang gagawin..

add ko na rin: in terms of check-up, you only have to present your card only..wala ng daming arte

^wow, great. thanks. re: Philhealth vs HMO, normally mas malaki talaga maco-cover ng HMO. kasi government ang Philhealth at maliit lang ang deduction sa atin. versus yung premium that we/our employer pays for our HMOs. pero thanks for the info re: Philcare - very helpful. at in fairness, accredited ang Philcare sa St. Luke's at Makati Med - pwede na sakin, kahit hindi accredited sa Asian Hospital.

Hi. Interested din ako to know the healthcards that offer good service to their members. I have been satisfied with Maxicare and Medicard. However, my parents are senior citizens now and my current company is not giving health compensations to employees so I need to purchase on my own.

^yes, it's possible naman. ang importante lang naman sa kanila ay mabayaran ang premium, hehe. so whether you're employed, self-employed, freelancer, keri lang.

^ thanks sis. pero is it true na mas mataas ang premium kapag walang formal employment? since naospital kasi si hubby last year gusto ko sana magpush sa health insurance. so i started paying Philhealth again and eto nga, nagstart na ko magtanong about health cards

^^hi sis. from what i know, the type of employment will not affect the amount of premium. what affects how high/low the premium is is the health status/age of the applicant. so pag mas matanda, mas mataas ang premium. kung merong long list of hereditary disease, mas mataas ang premium. pero i don't think the type of employment matters.
