I got my Maxicare card last week lang.  I applied lang online, wala ng agent or whatever; availed myself of the  individual Gold Package (13K per annum ang pinili ko).  Madali lang ang process.  You just go to Maxicare's website and fill out the form.  They will then send you an email na you have to pay the fee.  Tapos I paid sa BDO, waited for 3 days. After which, the maxicare card was emailed to me.  Ganun lang.  So if you don't want the hassle of going to the office or meeting up the agents, just apply online.

I'm pregnant (2 months) right now, and I think I need a healthcard. Feeling ko mas makakamura ako. Is there a card that I could get now, and then I could use for check-ups and also for delivery expenses? Thanks!

Individual sis.  I'm still single and my mom and siblings have their own health card because may work sila.  Eh freelance lang ako so I wanted to get  my own health card.  Mayroon naman duon na options for family package, baka lang siguro mas matagal yung approval.

Correction lang pala sa previous post ko:  I meant the maxicare card was mailed to me, not emailed.

I currently have intellicare from my company and I enrolled my parents. Sad thing is, hindi covered ang pre-existing. Sayang lang pag-enroll ko kasi I still spent 8k for my Dad's diagnostic exams before.. Kya important na check muna kng ano ang coverage. I have a co-worker who used to be with maxicare. ok daw dun kasi they cover pre-existing for dependents after 1 year..

for those who are preggy...usually, hindi na kayo makakakuha ng healthcard with pregnancy coverage not unless magbabayad kayo ng mataas na premium.

Pregnancy coverage is an option. All healthcards offer this pero may kamahalan nga lang.

sis pano kung family account sa maxicare online application nagtry ako ng quick plan computation pano yon sa age isa lang naman pwede i enter ,pano mo malaman kung magkano bayaran pag family , individual pa rin ba yong  computation, pasensiya na nalilito ako kasi, sa coverage family account naman yong pinili ko , tapos isang age lang pwede i enter  , plano ko kasi sana mag apply for me and my two kids,thanks

for me, lots of cash placed in a big emergency fund. additional lang ang Philhealth. 

hindi kasi covered lahat sa mga health card. doon ko na lang nilagak.

kung sana mas malaki ang coverage at mandatory sa hospital at doctors, then i'd consider.

^napapaisip rin ako na ganito na Lang gawin kasi walang mintis pag kailangan I-admit sa hospital wala laging room. Need pa SLMC global e d naman accepted maxicare dun pag family acct so magcashout rin.

Ok naman maxicare Kung corporate acct kA. La kA na iisipin. Malaking pera rin pag family or individual, kami 51,900+ ang annual premium na binayaran last week. 3 kami sa family. Ika 3rd year na namin at may back-up kami na caritas na nakuha ko nun 2006 may 3 yrs pa yata kami dun na pwedeng gamitin.

Mas masakit Lang sa bulsa at ramdam na ramdam ang gastos pag ikaw mismo nagbabayad. Swerte nun may HMO sa benepisyo sa kumpanya.

^  Tama ba nabasa ko?  hindi accepted ang maxicare sa SLMC global pag family account?  kaka-apply ko lang the other week ng maxicare.  di pa na-approve kase hiningian kame ng clearance from doctors kase last time we had a maxicare , may mga claims kame.  ngayon napapaisip ako kung itutuloy ko pa yung application ko.  baka mas better pa nga if yung ibabayad ko sa maxicare gamitin na directly for lab and consultations.

I got CARITAS healthcard for may parents. 52 na kasi sila. Hanggang 55y/o kasi eh same pa ang fees sa age 18.  pag nag 56 na higher na. Ang Caritas kasi meron plan na 5 years to pay then 10 years mo magagamit ang healthcard, may free term insurance pa at money back after the 10th year.  Nag attend ako ng orientation nila (not sa Ayala ha so seryoso orientation to) at sa judgment ok ang product.  2nd year covered na pre existing.  Just be sure to read yung mga exclusions kasi karamihan na nag cocomplain dahil hindi na cover eh dahil nasa exclusions eh hindi nila binasa or di inintindi.

sis simplybrilliant: korek ka dyan sis=) i tried to apply sana in other healthcards pero may preexisting din sila. and i will have to pay yearly and if i stop paying, hindi na ako makakagamit nung card. unlike sa caritas, i will pay 5 years then i will be able to use it for a total of 10 years and then they will return pa a portion of my money.

^depends sa coverage ng HMO na kinuha ng company..like sa amin Maxicare sa current employer ko, hindi covered ang pre-existing pero sa previous employer ko, Maxicare din pero covered yung existing condition..sa current ko, may maternity benefits, P30k pag normal, P50k pag CS..
