iniisip ko rin kung aling HMO ang ok, kasi i'm getting married this year. ang rule kasi sa office, if you're married, yung spouse mo na ang dependent mo. eh malaking tulong kasi ang health card. we are currently under maxicare and i can say na ok siya, maraming accredited hospitals. depende rin sa hospitals kung pano yung sa swiping ek-ek, like sa UST, pupunta ka pa sa medical arts building para humingi ng form at pipila ka ng mahaba.. sa ibang hospitals naman hindi ganun.

girls! pasensya na... nabaon ako sa PM! and hindi rin ako nag-mamaxicare talaga before (sun life talaga ako) kaya lahat ng inquiries nyo, pinapasa ko lang sa friend ko. she recently got promoted to manager though and signed me up as one of her agents. anyway, for individual or family plans, you can easily check for the premium rates sa website ng maxicare mismo, under quick plan computation -

^^ms. rain yung group account ba kaylangan may existing business or organization? yung kasi pagkaka-explain nung isang agent na nakausap ko. kaya family account na lang ang kukunin ko (kami ni hubby) kasi mas mura siya than individual account.

Hey guys, ano mas okay Maxicare or Bluecross? I have to get a healthplan for my husband and I-- and ang inaalala namin is yung discrimination pag health card ang gamit. Puwede ba yung reimbursement sa maxicare like sa Bluecross and yung ikaw pipili ng doctor and hospital?

^sa company namin, medicard kame before, then naging maxicare, then intellicare. the best for me ang maxicare, pero wala pa ko idea sa bluecross eh.

ang mahal din pala pag kumuha ng family/individual account. bothered din kase ako after i got married since di ko na covered parents ko, buti nalang kuya ko na nagcontinue ng health coverage ng parents namin. yun nalang from intellicare (our company hmo) naging valuecare (ata) sila. sabi ng mama ko mas gusto daw nya yung sa intellicare.

parents ko maxicare health card nila from my dad's company, so far wala silang problema sa paggamit. kahit saan kasi ino-honor yung card, for consultation and other medical procedures as long as accredited hospitals and doctors. although may mga hospital na mabusisi yung approval, ang daming hinihingi before nila i-cover yung isang procedure esp kung medyo mahal.

naka-maxicare din kami ni hubby ngayon pero family membership. di kami tinanggap sa healthway kasi for company membership lang daw sila tapos depende pa sa company. yun yung nakikita kong problem for individual/family membership. baka may mga hospital na di tumanggap. i haven't tried it sa other more prominent hospitals like asian.

so ask your agent about these possible concerns. also, inquire about contestability period and pre-existing conditions coverage para alam mo kung ano exactly yung icocover nila esp during the first two years of membership.

yung reimbursement ng maxicare applies only to emergency cases, according to their manual.

di pa ako nakagamit ng bluecross, but it's better if you'll talk to both maxicare and bluecross agents para mapag-compare mo yung benefits nilang 2.

^important to know the coverage (both inclusions and exclusions), contestability period, maybe even accredited hospitals and doctors? saken kasi important to since my dad has his own doctors na and i don't want to keep on changing them....
