I read this article from Rappler. It's good to know that solar panels are getting cheaper nowadays. You save a lot plus you can even sell back to Meralco any excess electricity your solar panels produce.

May napanood ako a few days ago sa ABS-CBN, sa TV Patrol ata, not sure.  Basta may segment about solar power, and may babaeng official pa nga from Meralco who confirmed na pwede mo ibenta sa Meralco yung excess electricity from your solar panels basta naka-connect yung electrical system ng house mo to the Meralco lines.

I want to have solar panels installed din when I have a house of my own.  Sure, medyo malaki yung money na kailangan upfront, but if icompute mo e malaki ang matitipid or malilibre mo in the long run, especially if malakas ka gumamit ng kuryente.

meron ba dito na gumagamit ng solar powered powerbank? nakita ko sa CD-R king meron nito eh. Pero alam naman natin na yung ibang items from them eh hindi maganda quality. i'm interested to buy pero kung may reviews na hindi maganda, that would definitely change my mind

our electric bill is not high enough to justify the big expense of installing solar panels, kahit may tax rebates pa.  we discussed this with the sales rep,  and he agreed it will take decades to recoup the cost with the way we use electricity.
so basically,  it's not for everyone.

^ sis, may i know which company you contacted? Was the assessment purely based on your monthly bill?

Verengo.  Yes, that's the first thing they asked, how much the monthly bill is.  They also asked how many people live in the house, if we have a pool,  yung mga ganon,

^ I see... But it's a good thing also that they were honest.  I mean, sale na sana for them. Most companies dont care basta maka benta lang.

I asked kasi baka same situation tayo. I dont really need solar panels (ok naman meralco bill ko), i just want them (to take advantage of sunlight which is free).

I was able to read up on another company but i havent inquired from them yet.

Naka set up na solar panel sa bahay.
Hopefully, pag nagka budget ulit, madagdagan pa ang capacity para kahit 50% of the time ay iyon na ang gamitin namin.

^Husband ko at friends nya nag assemble sis, hindi ko pa napalist down expenses. Sa sources ng materials, iba iba rin kasi nichk muna nila materials bago bilhin for quality, etc. Mahirap na kasi, may mga mura din kasi pero alanganin sa quality, eh sa bahay mismo gagamitin

^water heater lang iyong binanggit mo sis. Iyong buong system gamit ang solar panel, hindi lang water heater, pwede na pang ilaw, electric fan, tv, pc at kung mas mataas pa ang wattage, pwede na rin pang ref at aircon.
