What's a good home-based business for a stay-at-home mom?

ako din I am also looking for a business that i can do at home... i do have friends who are businessmen kaya lang.. puro big capital ang kailangan.  I have tried selling diapers.... well good thing about it kung hindi mabenta my baby uses it... lucky me hindi mapilii si baby.  I have tried selling food (cupcakes, vegetarian food)  I also teach yoga.. i'm planning on teaching japanese soon. hehe!  kung ano ano nalang.  It is fun though challenging.  But compared to staying in corporate, i still get to spend more time with the baby.  so OK parin.

i've been a SAHM for almost 2yrs now and exclusively breastfeeding my 5mo old baby. before i got pregnant sa 2nd baby ko, i sell baby/mommy items online...ok nman ang income..it's not our bread&butter  since we  have a business naman..it's more on for myself lang..

then i  got pregnant and was forced to stop muna..now i  put up a cart business selling fried noodles with siomai (my own brand) and soon will be opening up another business at Harrison Plaza..

it's hard juggling everything but  iniisip ko na lang, everything is for my kids...nothing is easy naman talaga sa start...

suggestion ko sis, do what you're passionate about...if like mo online selling, sell mo yung items na gusto mo din..hindi porke madami nagbebenta, go kna...

I have been a WAHM since 2007. Heartbroken ako when I resigned kasi I was getting paid really well sa corporate, pero I really have to be a hands-on mom. Siyempre I will choose my son over the money diba?

I was a housewife for just a month pa lang when I started online selling. Sa first year sobrang konti lang ng clients. Wala a yatang 10 clients nung first year. On the second year medyo maganda na, dami nang inquiries and sales up to now.

Just my two cents to aspiring and current WAHMs:
-do something you like and know about
-asess your finances. best if hubby is a regular-earner who can support the family even if you dont have income.
-have a target market. mas maraming sales ang mga websites/online shops na iisa lang ang target market. kung puro pambabae, pang-baby, laruan, damit, baked goods, etc. Kung marami kang iba-ibang products, paghiwalayin mo sila ng online store. di kasi maganda ang chosuey na online shop

right now gusto ko mag-put up ng isa pang shop, on the works pa lang pero share ko pag okay na.

oo nga it is hard juggling being a mom and business at the same time. nakakainis nga may buyer na nagsabi saken na i shouldnt let my personal life affect my business, but how can i do that eh i work inside my bedroom while taking care of my 1mo old baby diba? hehe some people kasi opens their mouth agad without having a single idea about the things they will comment on

ako i have an online shop, started it when i was forced to resign from work due to my pregnancy.. i concentrated on what i am an expert on.. mga pampabeauty hehe.. kaya i was confident naman na ok ang tinda ko kasi ive used it and i believe in them now the business is doing well im even thinking of just being a supplier nalang kasi i have a number of resellers na, also am currently looking for another business na pwede iopen para may fallback just in case

it is hard to be a WAHM but i think its the best job ever, kasi i get to earn money and spend as much time as i can with my baby

Hi sis pajoin ah, i think like everybody says here sa thread na putting up an online store would really suits you. YOu can have your own time & mostly ang marketing eh sa night time wherein tulog na mga kids. Mapuyat ka lang ng konti but still u don't have to wake up early & you will be the boss pa di katulad ng nagooffice

for those who are working mom and want to have their own business, based on my experience mahirap kasi nahahati ang time for baby na konti na lang may time pa nga na hindi ko naalagaan baby ko kasi i have to meet the quota of my orders, hay ang hirap

Join PTC maliit lang income pero tyagaan lang and singit lang naman to habang nag iinternet, nag ffb, nag aaply sa Odesk/freelancer just little of your time kaya pwede na rin, soon yung maliliit naman na kita lalaki rin. Sell online. Pwede rin sell in front of your house ng mga snacks kung maraming taong bibili.

Hi sis. I have some suggestions.

If yung place na tinitirahan mo right now is community style or compound or near school, meaning maraming tao daily. These businesses will be good for you:

-eloading
-foodcart
-direct selling
-mlm

for subdivision style, hindi masyadong patok yung mga nasa taas pero possible din. Kapag ganitong place tinitirahan mo, much better po yung online selling, ptc and mlm.

for MLM business, make sure na hindi networking okay? That's bad. May mga mlm business naman po na hindi networking like yung MLM business ko ngayon.

try to observe yung area mo sis para malaman mo kung ano yung best business for you.

SAHM din ko, nagtry ko ng online selling, though di ganun kalaki kita, pero at least meron kahit konti. may eloading business din ko pero sa mga kakilala ko lang, ayaw ko kasi nung akyat baba ko sa house para lang magload. hehe!
