What's a good home-based business for a stay-at-home mom?

I'm a stay at home mom looking for a business I could start at home to augment our family income.  Do you have any suggestions? 

I'm considering setting up a foodcart in front of our house but I have no idea how to go about it. Please give me some ideas.

SAHM din ako, until now puno ng ideas ang utak ko kung anong magandang business ang pwede kong gawin. Kaso I still have a baby, sana makapag start na ako the soonest possible.

@ literati. Pareho pala tayo. Maliliit pa talaga at alagain ang mga anak natin.  Hindi rin ako makapag start kasi I have a 3yr, 2yr and a 8 month old babies and exclusively breastfeeding.  Nakakaloka minsan kasi may pagka seasonal yung existing business ng hubby ko, natutuyot talaga ang bulsa.  We have a carwash and a computer shop katabi ng bahay namin.  At kulang pa rin ang income.  Pano ba naman pag walang pasok, mahina ang kita ng shop. Pag tag-ulan, walang kita ang car wash.  Hindi kami makaipon.

Balak ko sana mag lagay ng coffee shop katabi ng car wash or food cart para sa mga students na dumadaan at mga costumer na nagpapa carwash.  Pero di ko maumpisahan dahil nga sa mga kids at wala pang perang pang capital. 

Here are some of my ideas
*  since my comp business, digital pix and digiscrapping .(but i still need to learn photoshop.
* baking goodies such as cupcakes for parties (may oven na ako, baking skills na lang)
* loading business
* kikay accesories
* palaming/meryenda business
* food kiosk (pizza, hotdog, waffle with palamig)


Sad to say, all of them are still ideas, wala pa akong capital at time.  Lalo na we live here in the province. 3 hours away from Manila.
Atat na akong kumita ng pera pero ang hirap mag umpisa. Maganda din ang direct selling kung magaling ka mag sales talk at marami kang friends.  Ako kasi wala akong selling talent.

I'm planning to leave the 'stability of being in the corporate world to be a work-from-home mom. It's a huge decision. I'm planning now to work through oDesk while having a small barbecue and baking business on the side. I am getting a 'boy' to man the barbecue stand, the barbecue I am getting lang from a reliable supplier coz masyado matrabaho kung kami ang gagawa sa bahay. I will also supply carrot cakes to small coffee shops near my place. Hopefully, mareach ko yung monthly income that I'm getting from my current job para naman win-win.

You try online selling..at least sa computer ka lang at hindi masyado matrabahao.

Ok ang earnings ng online selling, lalu na if stuffs are from the US. Before monthly may box ako galing US, but then madami natirang stocks, because some are not so appealing kaya hindi mabenta. I guess sale nung binili dun kaya kahit hindi kagandahan binili pa din. Pero nabawi pa din. Now, I have sa small convenience store in our house. It earns 4-6k a day, maliit ang kita pero ok na din for extra income. Sellable ang beverages (softdrinks, beer, lalu na alak hehe), load and yosi.

^4 to 6k a day is good enough. Re: items na natitira, I make it a point na yung binebenta ko e ginagamit ko din para kung matira man, may magandang paglalagyan.

Anyway, I've done almost everything.. online selling of perfumes, clothes, selling of load, accessories,etc. The work I'm concentrating on now is being a virtual assistant. I find that you don't need much capital, because the capital is yourself. Your skills and your time is what's important. If you have researching or writing skills then you're all set! I'm not saying it's easy because it's hard when you start finding that first client.

Anyway, try looking it up. There are several threads here about it. Btw, the best thing about being a virtual assistant is you earn $.

working online at any job platform like odesk can be a good one. If you have been working at odesk, you can set up your own agency as a staffing agency. What you need to do is find jobs for your contractors and then get a little percentage if they will be hired.
